In this paper, we built the Guangdong’s regional input-output model, with an inter-industry linkage to evaluate the impact of modern energy infrastructure on regional economic growth during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. We analyzed the economic impact of increased governmental and industrial spending on infrastructure projects. An overview of the Leontief I-O model employed in this paper was presented in Section 2. In Section 3 we demonstrated the economic effect of static I-O analysis of renewable energy infrastructures investment from the policy-planning perspective. The policy simulation result of the input-output model in this paper could be seen as the maximal possible economic outcome in the period from 2016 to 2020, in which low-carbon power plants construction will add roughly 4% of gross domestic products of Guangdong annually. One of the advantages of Leontief input-output model is its ability to assess the possible maximum economic benefits in the short-run. As we have seen, the energy engineering infrastructure investment has increased the final demand of other related manufacturing sectors whose obligation is to accomplish infrastructure construction.

This study investigated the effects and possible mechanism of ferulic acid, a naturally occurring phenolic compound, on endogenous glutamate release in the nerve terminals of the cerebral cortex in rats. Results show that ferulic acid inhibited the release of glutamate evoked by the K+ channel blocker 4-aminopyridine (4-AP). The effect of ferulic acid on the evoked glutamate release was prevented by chelating the extracellular Ca2+ ions, but was insensitive to the glutamate transporter inhibitor DL-threo-beta-benzyl-oxyaspartate. Ferulic acid suppressed the depolarization-induced increase in a cytosolic-free Ca2+ concentration, but did not alter 4-AP–mediated depolarization. Furthermore, the effect of ferulic acid on evoked glutamate release was abolished by blocking the Cav2.2 (N-type) and Cav2.1 (P/Q-type) channels, but not by blocking ryanodine receptors or mitochondrial Na+/Ca2+ exchange. These results show that ferulic acid inhibits glutamate release from cortical synaptosomes in rats through the suppression of presynaptic voltage-dependent Ca2+ entry.

Recently, the rural and fishing of Taiwan changed rapidly in the industrialization. Due to the aging of population in rural area, and the labor shortage, the land was changed to grow the high economy fruit or fishing. With this change, the local economy developed toward high technology and low labor, and it became the elements of affecting the community. This research used the environment and human as a view to investigate the prosperity and recession of the community by collate document and interviewing the successful case. We used SWOT analysis, countering the Managing mode of Siaputou fish farming production area and try to integrate Hakka exquisite culture and excellent traditional industrial technology to point out feasible solution of local community development. The results showed that Lai family community in Jiadong Township, Pingtung County, mainly farming and growing the rice in early period. They transformed into aquaculture rapidly in several decades. Skillful aquaculture and technique brought abundant production to Jiadong Township. However, it can`t be developed into a Hakka specialty. The main point is that: first, to solve the problem of virus infection, they need to strengthen the anti-virus technology. Second, fishermen must develop self-reliance, learning digital knowledge, developing fishery products; establishing heterogeneity of the product, and develop the local market. Third, we can suggest the government control output in order to protect the fishermen`s income. Through industrial restructuring, we can use storytelling to promote local community to achieve the purpose of marketing Hakka villages.

In this article, thermal nanoimprint lithography (thermal-NIL) has been utilized to transfer the microgroove pattern onto the plastic substrate. Without coating alignment polymer, the microgrooves on the flexible substrates can align liquid crystals (LCs) directly. The flexible LC cell is shown to maintain comparable electro-optical properties while bending. The plastic film and the alignment layer integrated into an alignment substrate could effectively prevent cracks of the additional polymer alignment layer during the bending process. This method is applicable to the roll-to-roll process to increase the production efficiency. This paper investigates the effect of gender leadership with political connection on CSR performance using annual data of Chinese firms who listed in China A-share stock market and had CSR rating assessed by Rankins from 2009 to 2015. In addition, we also examine whether the foregoing question is under the influence of particular ownership structure in China. Our empirical results suggest that female chairman or CEO would not perform well in CSR activities, while leader’s political capital acts an exacerbating force. Specifically, the negative and statistically significant of interaction term female leadership with political capital is obviously identified for the Non-SOEs. The mandatory CSR reporting would not encourage firms to make more effort on CSR activities to the purpose on generating positive social externalities, while the advantages of CSR rating in firms are not obviously experience to coordinate the conflict of interest between stakeholders.

The coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is one of the most widely used precision measurement machines in the machinery industry. In this study, the analysis and compensation of structural deformation in spatial coordinates effectively depicts the improvement of the spatial accuracy of the motion of a three-dimensional measuring machine in a measurement area. In addition to accuracy, it is also projected that the measurement can be carried out more efficiently. Therefore, the measurement speed of the CMM and dynamic characteristics of the structure are becoming increasingly important. Consequently, the measuring machine has better dynamic characteristics and meets high precision requirements. During measurement, the geometric errors generated by the machine are mainly because of its moving structure in the spatial position. In this study, the CMM is driven by aerostatic bearings; the boundary conditions and parameter settings of each component are established to obtain analysis results that are highly consistent with the actual machine characteristics. The finite element method is used as an analysis tool, including static deformation, modal, spectrum, and transient analyses. Because of the structural deformation and spatial geometric errors caused by the moving structure of the measuring machine, the relative deformation errors can be evaluated through the analysis of the spatial position error compensation to improve the measurement accuracy of the machine.
Art Installations for Community Development Jiadong Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan as An Example

Jiadong township, located in Pingtung County Taiwan, has the highest density of heritages in this country. People can see five Grade III historical monuments in a ten-minute walk. Geographically, Jiadong township is the only Liudui Hakka community near the seashore. In 1994, Taiwan’s cultural development institution proposes a “Community Development” policy. The policy hopes to proceed from art and culture to cohere the sense of community, to improve community living standard, and to establish the community culture. The study is subject to Jiadong township,to find out the connection between art creation and social development. The art creation ranges from wall painting with Hakka literature, and decoration of house structure. The research methods are through literature, field investigation, and interviews. The gathered data were used to trace the origin of the historical street, and the development of wall painting. We conducted in-depth interviews with related people, such as the chairman of the community association, the project staff, cultural works, artists, village chief, and local residents. The interviews were used to understand the ideas and prospects of participants. From analysis and discovery of research process, we hope the case study can provide useful information for future related community researchers and planners to promote community development.

The focus on EFL listening has increased in Taiwan. Although previous studies have confirmed the effectiveness of language learners’ knowledge of discourse markers (DMs) in facilitating their listening comprehension, the time spent on DM instruction is relatively short. Hence, the researcher conducted a corpus-based analysis of the DMs used in junior high school English textbooks, listening workbooks, and the English test in the Comprehensive Assessment Program for Junior High School Students (CAP). The study explored the types of exposure to DMs learners received and sought to determine whether textbook and test writers placed adequate emphasis on DMs. The results revealed that the English textbook and CAP English test corpora had higher frequencies of DMs than the listening workbook corpus. The DMs identified in the three corpora were multi-functional and involved using the senses most common to native speakers’ speech. They demonstrated a clear distinction between spoken and written English. However, the DM distributions were mainly limited to the sentence-initial position. Therefore, textbook writers were suggested to focus more on DM distribution and context. Teachers and learners should be aware of the role of DMs in EFL listening comprehension, familiarize themselves with DMs displayed in textbooks, and use authentic listening materials to compensate for textbook deficiencies.

Abstract
Bruton tyrosine kinase (Btk) has a well-defined role in B-cell development, whereas its expression in osteoclasts (OCs) further suggests a role in osteoclastogenesis. Here we investigated effects of PCI-32765, an oral and selective Btk inhibitor, on osteoclastogenesis as well as on multiple myeloma (MM) growth within the BM microenvironment. PCI-32765 blocked RANKL/M-CSF-induced phosphorylation of Btk and downstream PLC-γ2 in OCs, resulting in diminished TRAP5b (ED50 = 17nM) and bone resorption activity. PCI-32765 also inhibited secretion of multiple cytokines and chemokines from OC and BM stromal cell cultures from both normal donors (ED50 = 0.5nM) and MM patients. It decreased SDF-1-induced migration of MM cells, and down-regulated MIP1-α/CCL3 in MM cells. It also blocked MM cell growth and survival triggered by IL-6 or coculture with BM stromal cells or OCs in vitro. Importantly, PCI-32765 treatment significantly inhibits in vivo MM cell growth (P < .03) and MM cell-induced osteolysis of implanted human bone chips in SCID mice. Moreover, PCI-32765 prevents in vitro colony formation by stem-like cells from MM patients. Together, these results delineate functional sequelae of Btk activation mediating osteolysis and growth of MM cells, supporting evaluation of PCI-32765 as a novel therapeutic in MM.

Intelligent human-robot interface helps a mobile robot to extract external information and interact with a user. User identification information allows a robot to generate appropriate behaviors and make personalized human-robot interaction (PHRI) more natural and safe. Most of service robots move around in various application settings, and biometric features always change during relative movements. In this work, a fusion recognition system based on face and speaker classifiers is designed to achieve the user recognition in various environments. We propose a method to fuse face and speech recognition results based on the concept of confidence indices. Through the derived confidence indices, the system combines the two classifiers and gives improved recognition results. Experiments on a laboratory home service robot show that person recognition rates in 15 environmental situations all outperform those of using single modality.
