Recently, the reduction of electromagnetic vibration and noise of a capacitor motor (CRM) has become a very important subject from the standpoint of environmental improvement. Therefore, the authors have studied the characteristics of the dominant electromagnetic vibration of the CRM under load condition. In this paper, the effects of slot combination and skewed slot on the dominant electromagnetic vibration of a CRM under load condition are discussed both theoretically and experimentally. As a result, the characteristics of the dominant electromagnetic vibration for the slot combination and the reduction effect of the skewed slot on the electromagnetic vibration are clarified for a 4-pole CRM.
Development of Concurrent Design Environment Using Super High Definition Image
Tetsuro Ogi,Daisuke Tsubouchi (사)한국CDE학회 2010 한국CAD/CAM학회 국제학술발표 논문집 Vol.2010 No.8
Though the concept of concurrent design has spread and various design tools have been used, the design environment that supports the designers’ collaborative work has not been discussed enough. In this study, CDF (Concurrent Design Facility) was developed as a collaborative design environment in which designers, researchers and managers can discuss with each other while sharing the necessary data. The feature of CDF is that the users can share the intuitive, accurate and high presence information by using the super high definition stereo image projected by 4K projectors. In this study, as the mechanisms of sharing images between the center screen and each user’s terminal, command capture method and screen capture method were introduced, and the effectiveness of these methods for the collaborative work was evaluated.

Dynamic Response of Blade Surface Cavitation

In high speed turbopumps, cavitation occurs and often causes the flow instabilities such as cavitation surge and rotating cavitation. The occurrence of these cavitation instabilities is considered to relate to dynamic characteristics of the cavitation, which are modelled using a cavitation compliance and a mass flow gain factor. Various types of cavitation such as a blade surface cavitation, a tip leakage vortex cavitation, and a backflow vortex cavitation occur at the same time in the inducer and the dynamic characteristics of each cavitation have not been clarified yet in experiments. Focusing on the blade surface cavitation as one of fundamental cavitation, we investigated the dynamic characteristics of the blade surface cavitation on a flat plate hydrofoil in experiments in the present study.

There is a demand of mining automation by heavy equipment in an open mine. Authors aim to automization of motion for wheel loader in scooping and loading operation. In this paper, we applied the optimization method by Genetic Algorithm to the path planning for the wheel loader on scooping and loading operation. We showed the quasi-optimized path and demonstrated by the miniature wheel loader robot.
