The dysprosium ions (Dy3+)-substituted nanosized ferrites (NFs) of composition [Ni0.5Co0.5](DyxFe2-x)O4(x0.08) were prepared using the citrate gel process. To analyse the magnetic properties of the samples, the Mössbauer spectroscopy methods and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) were applied. Theroom temperature Mössbauer spectra werefitted to determine the hyperfine parameters of the proposedNFs. The preferential occupation of the octahedral B sites by the Dy3+ in the spinel ferrite sublattice wasconfirmed from the cations distribution. The hyperfine magneticfield of both sublattice decreasedwhereas the increase in the Dy3+ substitution was observed. The S-parameters of the prepared NFs in thehigh frequency range were measured by the co-axial method. In addition, the MW reflection losses wereevaluated by means of the frequency-dependent (in the range of 1–20 GHz) complex permittivity andpermeability spectra. All the NFs indicated that the absorption of the electromagnetic radiation wasranging between 2.9–5.5 GHz due to the natural ferromagnetic resonance. A correlation amongst the Dy3+ concentration, microstructure, magnetic and microwave (MW) characteristics of these NFs wasestablished. It’s been asserted that by controlling the Dy3+ contents carefully, the MW absorption andmagnetic attributes of the proposed spinel NFs can be tailored.

The influences of Al doping on the structural, magnetic and dynamical properties of BaFe$_{12-x}$Al$_x$O$_{19}$ solid solutions ($x = 0.1$--1.2) have been studied by using a combination of X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction and infrared spectroscopy. The magnetic moment of every Fe atom, including combinations, has been defined, and the magnetic moment of Fe$^{3+}$ ions was found to decrease as the concentration of Al$^{3+}$ diamagnetic ions in the combinations increased. Studies carried out by using infrared spectroscopy showed that four oscillations under normal conditions in these combinations. The results obtained by using infrared spectroscopy for BaFe$_{12-x}$Al$_x$O$_{19}$ combinations were compared with the results obtained by using Raman spectroscopy.

0.72(Bi$_{0.5}$Na$_{0.5}$)Ti$_{(1-x)}$Zr$_x$O$_3$-0.28SrTiO$_3$ (BNTZ-ST) with $x$ = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02 and 0.03 were produced using a solid solution reaction procedure. Results from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed the presence of a perovskite structure with cubic symmetry for all samples. Surface analysis was completed using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and the grain size was found to decrease slightly with increasing Zr doping. The grain morphology was primarily rectangular, but morphed into a rounder shape with increases in Zr. In a dielectric constant study, the depolarization temperature was found to decrease with increasing Zr$^{+4}$ content and increasing frequency. The strain was found to be 0.34\% for the undoped samples with an equivalent dynamic strain ($S_{max}/E_{max}$) of 618 pm/V, without negative strain. However, the strain decreased slightly and hysteresis loops become slim and more symmetric, attaining a relaxor ferroelectric behavior with increasing Zr content.

Thermal diffusivity measurements have been used to study the magnetic phase transitions in ZnOdoped with Mn. The temperature dependencies of the thermal diffusivity in the wide temperaturerange from 70 to 300 K reveal an inverted-lambda-shaped peak at a temperature of 75 K forZn0.95Mn0.05O doped with nitrogen and additional peaks at 117 K and 122 K for the nitrogen-dopedand the undoped Zn0.95Mn0.05O samples, respectively. The lambda-shaped peak demonstrates theexistence of a second order phase transition in these samples. The thermal diffusivity peak at 75 Kwas attributed to a ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition in the Zn0.95Mn0.05O doped withnitrogen, and the peaks at 117 K and 122 K were attributed to an antiferromagnetic-paramagneticphase transition in the MnO nanoclusters.
