등등(Teng, Teng) 한국실내디자인학회 2018 한국실내디자인학회논문집 Vol.27 No.3

The rapid development of information technology makes people"s lifestyles constantly changing, bringing great changes to the library building. As a product of the development of public libraries, community libraries have an important impact on community cohesion and revitalization through providing targeted learning and leisure services to residents. Under the trend of social and community development, the community library"s user-centered space must adapt to the diverse needs of community users and make the self-improvement. First of all, this study summarizes the concept of community and community libraries through literature review, and then make a theoretical investigation on the composition of user-centered space. Finally this study bases on the cases of community library buildings in the United States and Britain, and initially explores the composition of user-centered space in these libraries, and then analyzes and summarizes the architectural characteristics of it. Exploring how community can be activated and cohesive through community libraries user-centered space. Hope that this study can provide some reference to the contemporary community library design.

Mechanism of nitrogen-fluoride co-doped TiO₂/bentonite composites removing tetracycline: A study in the co-doping ratio

        Teng WANG,Zhaofu MENG,Xinxin WANG,Amjad ALI,Xuewen CAO,Lin LIU 대한환경공학회 2021 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.26 No.6

N-doped and N-F co-doped TiO₂/bentonite composites were synthesized via the gel-sol method. The morphology, structure and surface charge of the composite before and after adsorption were used to determine the effect N/F doping ratio on TC removal. The results showed that, compared with undoped samples, the TC adsorption on N doped composites was reduced by 24.44% on average. N-F co-doping significantly increased the TC adsorption when the Ti-N-F molar ratio was 1:1: 0.01, reaching a maximum TC adsorption of 64.00 mmol·kg-1. The coverage of the N doped TiO₂ increases as the N doping ratio increases; the specific surface area increased by 2.03 % on average, but the number of surface negative charges decreased by 36.24 % on average. FT-IR results confirmed that N doping reduced the number of -OH groups on the N-doped composites. Additionally, fluorination of N-F co-doped TiO₂ and bentonite surfaces inhibits hydrogen bonding and π-π interactions between the TC and the composites. As the N doping ratio increased, the coverage of N-F co-doped TiO₂ on the composite surface increased, resulting in the TC adsorption decrease with the increases N doping ratio.

      • Chitosan/nanohydroxyapatite composite membranes via dynamic filtration for guided bone regeneration

        Teng, Shu‐,Hua,Lee, Eun‐,Jung,Yoon, Byung‐,Ho,Shin, Du‐,Sik,Kim, Hyoun‐,Ee,Oh, Joong‐,Soo Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., A Wiley Company 2009 Journal of biomedical materials research. Part A Vol.a88 No.3

Abstract

Chitosan/hydroxyapatite (HA) composite membranes were prepared by the coprecipitation method and a subsequent dynamic filtration and freeze‐drying process. The influences of the HA content of the membranes on their phase and morphology, mechanical properties, and bioactivity were investigated. FTIR analysis revealed that chitosan and HA had good miscibility over a wide range of compositions. Needle‐like HA nanocrystals with low crystallinity were uniformly embedded in the chitosan matrix. As the HA content was increased, the tensile strength of the membranes exhibited a steady decrease, while the elastic modulus increased by a factor of 2 when 20% HA was added. The results of the in vitro cell culture showed that the highest alkaline phosphatase level was achieved when 30% HA was contained in the composites. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Blend fibers of chitosan–agarose by electrospinning

        Teng, Shu-Hua,Wang, Peng,Kim, Hyoun-Ee Elsevier 2009 Materials letters Vol.63 No.28

Abstract

A novel fibrous system, chitosan/agarose, was successfully developed via the electrospinning of their blend solutions. The trifluoroacetic acid (TFA)/dichloromethane (DCM) mixture was used as a suitable solvent for both chitosan and agarose. It was found that smooth, continuous fibers were generated at an agarose content of less than 50%. Moreover, with the increase of the agarose content from zero to 50%, the average diameter of the fibers was significantly decreased from about 1.76 to 0.14μm. The FT-IR analysis revealed a gradual shift of the absorption band in the blend fibers, suggesting the strong interaction and good compatibility between chitosan and agarose.

      • Optimization of Drying Conditions for Quality Semi-dried Mulberry Fruit (Morus alba L.) using Response Surface Methodology

Teng, Hui,Lee, WonYoung Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology 2014 慶北大農學誌 Vol. No.

Mulberry fruits were semi-dried using hot air ($60-100^{\circ}C$) or cool air ($20-40^{\circ}C$), and the effects of the drying temperature and processing time on the quality of the final dried mulberry fruits were investigated. Response surface methodology was employed to establish a statistical model and predict the conditions resulting in minimal loss of the total phenolic content (TPC) and ascorbic acid. Thus, using overlapped contour plots, the optimal conditions for producing semi-dried mulberry fruits, which reduced the moisture residue to 45% and minimized the nutrient losses of TPC and ascorbic acid, were determined for the hot-air process ($60.7^{\circ}C$ for 5.4 h) and cool-air process ($34.8^{\circ}C$ for 23.3 h). Plus, a higher drying temperature was found to lead to a faster loss of moisture and ascorbic acid, while the TPC was significantly decreased in the cool-air dried mulberry fruits due to the higher activity of polyphenol oxidase between 30 and $40^{\circ}C$.

Optimization of Microwave-assisted Extraction of Active Components from Chinese Quince using Response Surface Methodology

Teng, Hui,Ghafoor, Kashif,Choi, Yong-Hee The Korean Society for Applied Biological Chemistr 2009 Applied Biological Chemistry (Appl Biol Chem) Vol.52 No.6

Active components in Chinese quince were extracted by using high efficient microwave-assisted extraction. In accordance with central composited design, 20 runs with 3 variables and 5 levels applied for the optimization in response surface methodology system. The extracts were analyzed by spectrophotometeric methods for the total flavonoids content (TFC), total phenolic compound (TPC) and electron donating ability (EDA). The optimum conditions obtained were 44.15% ethanol concentration, 5 min extraction time and 102.1 W microwave power for maximum TFC (477.8 mg RE/100 g), TPC (2249 mg GAE/100 g) and EDA (77.47%) as predicted by overlaid contour plots.

      • Tic21 is an essential translocon component for protein translocation across the chloroplast inner envelope membrane.

        Teng, Yi-Shan,Su, Yi-shin,Chen, Lih-Jen,Lee, Yong Jik,Hwang, Inhwan,Li, Hsou-min American Society of Plant Physiologists 2006 The Plant cell Vol.18 No.9

An Arabidopsis thaliana mutant defective in chloroplast protein import was isolated and the mutant locus, cia5, identified by map-based cloning. CIA5 is a 21-kD integral membrane protein in the chloroplast inner envelope membrane with four predicted transmembrane domains, similar to another potential chloroplast inner membrane protein-conducting channel, At Tic20, and the mitochondrial inner membrane counterparts Tim17, Tim22, and Tim23. cia5 null mutants were albino and accumulated unprocessed precursor proteins. cia5 mutant chloroplasts were normal in targeting and binding of precursors to the chloroplast surface but were defective in protein translocation across the inner envelope membrane. Expression levels of CIA5 were comparable to those of major translocon components, such as At Tic110 and At Toc75, except during germination, at which stage At Tic20 was expressed at its highest level. A double mutant of cia5 At tic20-I had the same phenotype as the At tic20-I single mutant, suggesting that CIA5 and At Tic20 function similarly in chloroplast biogenesis, with At Tic20 functioning earlier in development. We renamed CIA5 as Arabidopsis Tic21 (At Tic21) and propose that it functions as part of the inner membrane protein-conducting channel and may be more important for later stages of leaf development.
