Holomorphic mappings into some domain in a complex normed space
Tatsuhiro Honda 대한수학회 2004 대한수학회지 Vol.41 No.1
Let D1,D2 be convex domains in complex normed spaces E1, E2 respectively. When a mapping f : D1 → D2 is holomorphic with f(0) = 0, we obtain some results like the Schwarz lemma. Furthermore, we discuss a condition whereby f is linear or injective or isometry.
Fundamental Structure in Simultaneous Removal for Phytoplankton and Nutrient Salt in Lakes
Tatsuhiro Seki,Yuuichi Ishii,Toshio Ishii,Kazuo Taki 대한환경공학회 2009 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.14 No.4
The water quality in eutrophic lakes is affected by serious problems, such as abnormal increasing of Cyanobacteria. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of a modified flotation system using a hybrid technique formed by chemical compounds and an electrostatic bridge. Therefore, experiments using the hybrid technique were performed to measure the zeta potential value on the phytoplankton surface and the removal efficiencies of phytoplankton, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and phosphoric acid. The results were as follows: Firstly, the zeta potential of M.aeruginosa was observed to approach charge neutralization due to adhesion of magnesium hydroxide precipitate on the phytoplankton surface in the pH range 10.5 to 11. Secondly, the concentration of chlorophyll-a decreased from about 150 to 20 μg/L, with a maximum removal efficiency of 84% due to coagulation with pH values higher than 10. Thirdly, the NH₄-N concentration was observed to decrease from 0.62 to 0.54 mg-N/L (13%), and the PO₄-P concentration, which is a limiting factor to the formation of algae blooms, decreased from 0.27 to 0.02 mg-P/L (92%). These findings suggest that the modified flotation system can be applied for the purification of the raw water of numerous lakes containing high phytoplankton populations and elevated pH.

Background/Aims Potassium-competitive acid blockers are expected to be the next generation of drugs for the treatment of diseases caused by gastric acid. In 2015, vonoprazan fumarate, a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker, was approved by the Japanese health insurance system. Since its approval, patients refractory to vonoprazan can be encountered in clinical settings. We designed this study to clarify the pathophysiology of gastroesophageal reflux disease refractory to vonoprazan. Methods In this retrospective study, we involved patients who had refractory symptoms after administration of standard-dose proton pump inhibitors or vonoprazan and underwent diagnostic testing with esophageal high-resolution manometry and 24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance and pH monitoring while using proton pump inhibitors or vonoprazan. Patients were diagnosed based on the Rome IV criteria for functional gastrointestinal disorders and diagnostic test results. Results Twenty-seven patients were analyzed during this study. Gastric pH ≥ 4 was sustained for a longer period of time, and the esophageal acid exposure time and number of acid reflux events were shorter in the vonoprazan group than in the proton pump inhibitor group. The percentage of patients diagnosed with acidic gastroesophageal reflux disease in the vonoprazan group was lower than that in the proton pump inhibitor group. Conclusions Intra-gastric pH and acid reflux were strongly suppressed by 20-mg vonoprazan. When patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease present symptoms after administration of 20-mg vonoprazan, the possibility of pathophysiologies other than acid reflux should be considered. Review : Gastroparesis: Current Concepts and Management
( Tatsuhiro Masaoka ),( Jan Tack ) The Editorial Office of Gut and Liver 2009 Gut and Liver Vol.3 No.3
Delayed gastric emptying in the absence of mechanical obstruction is referred to as gastroparesis. Symptoms that are often attributed to gastroparesis include postprandial fullness, nausea, and vomiting. Although tests of gastric motor function may aid diagnostic labeling, their contribution to determining the treatment approach is often limited. Although clinical suspicion of gastroparesis warrants the exclusion of mechanical causes and serum electrolyte imbalances, followed by empirical treatment with a gastroprokinetic such as domperidone or metoclopramide, evidence that these drugs are effective for patients with gastroparesis is far from overwhelming. In refractory cases with severe weight loss, invasive therapeutics such as inserting a feeding jejunostomy tube, intrapyloric injection of botulinum toxin, surgical (partial) gastrectomy, and implantable gastric electrical stimulation are occasionally considered. Effects of cold water immersion and compression garment use after eccentric exercise on recovery
Tatsuhiro Maruyama,Sahiro Mizuno,Kazushige Goto 한국운동영양학회 2019 Physical Activity and Nutrition (Phys Act Nutr) Vol.23 No.1
[Purpose] The combined effect of different types of post-exercise treatment has not been fully explored. We investigated the effect of combined cold water immersion (CWI) and compression garment (CG) use after maximal eccentric exercise on maximal muscle strength, indirect muscle damage markers in the blood, muscle thickness, and muscle soreness score 24 h after exercise. [Methods] Ten men performed two trials (CWI + CG and CON) in random order. In the CWI + CG trial, the subjects performed 15 min of CWI (15°C), followed by wearing of a lower-body CG for 24 h after exercise. In the CON trial, there was no post-exercise treatment. The exercise consisted of 6 × 10 maximal isokinetic (60°·s-1) eccentric knee extensions using one lower limb. The maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) and maximal isokinetic (60°·s-1) strength during knee extension, as well as the indirect muscle damage markers, were evaluated before exercise and 24 h after exercise. [Results] The maximal muscle strength decreased in both trials (p < 0.001), with no difference between them. The exercise-induced elevation in the myoglobin concentration tended to be lower in the CWI + CG trial than in the CON trial (p = 0.060). The difference in the MVC, maximal isokinetic strength, muscle thickness, and muscle soreness score between the trials was not significant. [Conclusion] CWI followed by wearing of a CG after maximal eccentric exercise tended to attenuate the exercise-induced elevation of indirect muscle damage markers in the blood.

This paper presents the effectiveness evaluation approach of demand side management (dema nd control) for frequency regulation in regional power networks (so called Cluster-oriented networks). The analytical model of the frequency fluctuation for a three-cluster interconnected network model was developed with MATLAB/SIMULINK. The control method is similar to the conventional TBC (Tie Line Bias Control) widely used in power grids. In order to maintain the quality of frequency, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and controllable loads such as heat pumps installed in the customer side will play an effective role in clusters. By the results of conducted simulations, it shows that the proposed new frequency regulation scheme by utilizing controllable loads such as battery charges and heat pumps retains effectiveness to suppress frequency deviation when a large amount of natural renewable energy is installed in the regional cluster-oriented networks.
