LncRNA-IMAT1 Promotes Invasion of Meningiomas by Suppressing KLF4/hsa-miR22-3p/Snai1 Pathway

        Tao Zhang,Yu Ge,Daijun Wang,Qin Liu,Shuchen Sun,Lingyang Hua,Jiaojiao Deng,Shihai Luan,Haixia Cheng,Qing Xie,Ye Gong,Tao Zhang 한국분자세포생물학회 2022 Molecules and cells Vol.45 No.6

Malignant meningiomas often show invasive growth that makes complete tumor resection challenging, and they are more prone to recur after radical resection. Invasive meningioma associated transcript 1 (IMAT1) is a long noncoding RNA located on Homo sapiens chromosome 17 that was identified by our team based on absolute expression differences in invasive and non-invasive meningiomas. Our studies indicated that IMAT1 was highly expressed in invasive meningiomas compared with non-invasive meningiomas. In vitro studies showed that IMAT1 promoted meningioma cell invasion through the inactivation of the Krüppel-like factor 4 (KLF4)/hsa-miR22-3p/Snai1 pathway by acting as a sponge for hsa-miR22-3p, and IMAT1 knockdown effectively restored the tumor suppressive properties of KLF4 by preserving its tumor suppressor pathway. In vivo experiments confirmed that IMAT1 silencing could significantly inhibit the growth of subcutaneous tumors and prolong the survival period of tumor-bearing mice. Our findings demonstrated that the high expression of IMAT1 is the inherent reason for the loss of the tumor suppressive properties of KLF4 during meningioma progression. Therefore, we believe that IMAT1 may be a potential biological marker and treatment target for meningiomas.

Anesthetic Management and Outcomes of Endovascular Treatment of Basilar Artery Occlusion: Results From the ATTENTION Registry

        Tao Chunrong,Yuan Guangxiong,Xu Pengfei,Wang Hao,Zhou Peiyang,Yi Tingyu,Li Kai,Cui Tao,Gao Jun,Li Rui,Sun Jun,Zhang Chao,Wang Li,Liu Tianlong,Song Jianlong,Yin Yamei,Nguyen Thanh N.,Li Qing,Hu Wei 대한뇌졸중학회 2023 Journal of stroke Vol.25 No.3

Background and Purpose To examine the clinical and safety outcomes after endovascular treatment (EVT) for acute basilar artery occlusion (BAO) with different anesthetic modalities. Methods This was a retrospective analysis using data from the Endovascular Treatment for Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion (ATTENTION) registry. Patients were divided into two groups defined by anesthetic modality performed during EVT: general anesthesia (GA) or non-general anesthesia (non-GA). The association between anesthetic management and clinical outcomes was evaluated in a propensity score matched (PSM) cohort and an inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW) cohort to adjust for imbalances between the two groups. Results Our analytic sample included 1,672 patients from 48 centers. The anesthetic modality was GA in 769 (46.0%) and non-GA in 903 (54.0%) patients. In our primary analysis with the PSM-based cohort, non-GA was comparable to GA concerning the primary outcome (adjusted common odds ratio [acOR], 1.01; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.82 to 1.25; <i>P</i>=0.91). Mortality at 90 days was 38.4% in the GA group and 35.8% in the non-GA group (adjusted risk ratio, 0.95; 95% CI, 0.83 to 1.08; <i>P</i>=0.44). In our secondary analysis with the IPTW-based cohort, the anesthetic modality was significantly associated with the distribution of modified Rankin Scale at 90 days (acOR: 1.45 [95% CI: 1.20 to 1.75]). Conclusion In this nationally-representative observational study, acute ischemic stroke patients due to BAO undergoing EVT without GA had similar clinical and safety outcomes compared with patients treated with GA. These findings provide the basis for large-scale randomized controlled trials to test whether anesthetic management provides meaningful clinical effects for patients undergoing EVT.

        Tao Sun,Yong-Ho Kim,Soon-O Kwon,Hae-Jong Kim,Jae-Woo Jung,Jung-Pyo Hong 한국자동차공학회 2010 한국자동차공학회 부문종합 학술대회 Vol.2010 No.5

A design process composed of the analytical method and finite element method for the traction motor using in inwheel type electric scooter is introduced in this paper. Considering the last prevalence, an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor is studied. In this process, first, the target speed-torque characteristic of the motor is estimated depending on the desired scooter dynamic capability. And then, according to the space restriction, the initial model is proposed by using Fourier analysis method. In order to reduce the design time, a technique called EL-map is proposed and used to improve the initial model to achieve required voltage, current and efficiency. Finally, using response surface methodology, the cogging torque, torque ripple, etc. are optimized. The experiment results will be used to verify this design process.

Tao Sun 보안공학연구지원센터 2014 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.7 No.6

Event coreference resolution is an important step for business intelligence. In this paper, we present a method for event coreference resolution based on heterogeneous information network. We adopt holistic, hierarchical clustering algorithm to solve this problem. In terms of similarity measure, the proposed method utilizes the relationship between entities, events, documents and data source, calculates event comprehensive similarity through the event properties similarity. Experiment on business event sets, characters event sets and product event sets, the experiment results show that the algorithm of this paper can effectively complete event coreference resolution, and has good recall and precision.

      • Effect of Pole and Slot Combination on Noise and Vibration in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

        Tao Sun,Ji-Min Kim,Geun-Ho Lee,Jung-Pyo Hong,Myung-Ryul Choi IEEE 2011 IEEE transactions on magnetics Vol.47 No.5

<P>This paper investigates the effect of pole and slot combination on the vibration and noise in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Two PMSMs that have the same performances but different pole and slot combinations are studied. A numerical analysis process for the vibration is introduced. First, by using the electromagnetic field finite element analysis (FEA) and Maxwell stress tensor method, the radial forces of these two motors are analyzed. In order to evaluate the effect of the radial force on the vibration, then the equivalent magnetizing current method is used to calculate the local force which then is employed in the mechanical FEA analysis. Finally, an experiment is processed to test the vibration and noise of these two motors, and verify the proposed analysis process. The effect of the pole and slot combination on the noise and vibration are revealed.</P>

        Tao, Hengcong,Sun, Xiaofu,Back, Seoin,Han, Zishan,Zhu, Qinggong,Robertson, Alex ,W.,Ma, Tao,Fan, Qun,Han, Buxing,Jung, Yousung,Sun, Zhenyu Royal Society of Chemistry 2018 Chemical Science Vol.9 No.2

<▼1><P>The doping of Pd with a small amount of Te can selectively convert CO2 to CO with a low overpotential.</P></▼1><▼2><P>Designing highly selective and energy-efficient electrocatalysts to minimize the competitive hydrogen evolution reaction in the electrochemical reduction of aqueous CO2 remains a challenge. In this study, we report that doping Pd with a small amount of Te could selectively convert CO2 to CO with a low overpotential. The PdTe/few-layer graphene (FLG) catalyst with a Pd/Te molar ratio of 1 : 0.05 displayed a maximum CO faradaic efficiency of about 90% at –0.8 V (<I>vs.</I> a reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE), CO partial current density of 4.4 mA cm–2, and CO formation turnover frequency of 0.14 s–1 at –1.0 V (<I>vs.</I> a RHE), which were 3.7-, 4.3-, and 10-fold higher than those of a Pd/FLG catalyst, respectively. Density functional calculations showed that Te adatoms preferentially bind at the terrace sites of Pd, thereby suppressing undesired hydrogen evolution, whereas CO2 adsorption and activation occurred on the high index sites of Pd to produce CO.</P></▼2>

Transcriptome analysis of differentially expressed genes in rabbits’ ovaries by digital gene-expression profiling

        Tao Huang,Ya‑dong Wang,Ming‑ming Xue,Xue Feng,Cai‑Xia Sun,An‑si Wang,Shu‑yu Xie,Meng Zhang,Gui‑Rong Sun,Ming Li 한국유전학회 2018 Genes & Genomics Vol.40 No.7

Reproduction is a complex physiological process that is regulated by multiple genes and pathways. Compared with studies of common livestock, fewer studies of genes related to the fertility of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) have been reported, and the molecular mechanism of their high productivity is still poorly understood. To identify candidate genes associated with development and prolificacy in rabbits, we analyzed gene expression differences among the ovaries of mature Californian rabbit (LC), and mature (HH) and immature Harbin white rabbit (IH) using digital gene expression technology. We detected 885 and 321 genes that were significantly differentially expressed in comparisons between HH/IH and HH/LC, respectively. The functions of the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were determined by GO classification and KEGG pathway analysis. The results suggest that most of the DEGs between the mature and immature developmental stages were predominantly associated with DNA replication, cell cycle, and progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation, and most were up-regulated in the IH group compared with the HH group. The DEGs involved in disparate fecundities between HH and LC were associated with reproduction, fructose and mannose metabolism, steroid hormone biosynthesis, and pyruvate metabolism. Our results will contribute to a better understanding of changes in the regulatory network in ovary at different developmental stages and in different fertility of rabbit.

Measured and investigated nonlinear dynamics parameters on bolted flange joints of combined rotor

        Tao Li,Dongjian Yang,Binbin Zhao,Qingchao Sun,Junzhou Huo,Wei Sun 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.5

The complex micro-slip phenomenon of the contact interface will lead to the nonlinear stiffness of the connection structure, as well as the structural damping and energy dissipation. As the most important connection structure of the combination rotor, the mechanical properties of bolted flange joint interface are needed in the dynamic analysis of the combined rotor. Therefore, it is urgent to model and test the friction contact interface in the nonlinear dynamic analysis of rotor. In this paper, two sets of mechanical characteristics test system were built to test the dynamic parameters of tangential and bending directions of the bolted flange joint interface. Then, the mechanical behavior and the change regularities of dynamics parameters were studied under different external excitation, bolt distribution and tightening torque. The results show that once the bolt preload is above the rated torque, stiffness softening behavior is not significant; and then the tangential stiffness of the joint interface tends to be stable, with the variation range of 8.08~8.96e8 N/m; the equivalent bending stiffness coefficient is about 3.38~3.83e6 N·m/rad. With the decrease of bolt preload, the external excitation and the number of bolts have a significant effect on the stiffness reduction of the joint. Finally, the change interval of the dynamics parameters of the interface obtained by the experiment provide basis for the uncertainty dynamic analysis and optimization of the rotor.

Tao Sun,Suk-Hee Lee,Jung-Pyo Hong 한국자동차공학회 2008 한국자동차공학회 춘 추계 학술대회 논문집 Vol.- No.-

This paper deals with the determination of parameters in the motor module of vehicle simulator. In the general vehicle simulator. the traction motor of Hybrid Electric Vehicle is defined by efficiency map, maximum torque/speed curve and so forth. Due to the prevalence of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM), this paper mainly focuses on the calculation of efficiency map of IPMSM considering magnetic nonlinearity. Firstly, by means of numerical methods. the inductance and iron loss resistance are calculated. Next according to equivalent circuits, the motor characteristics including speed. torque and efficiency are investigated. Finally, the calculated efficiency result is verified by the experiment data. And all parameters are loaded and implemented in ADVISOR which is an advanced vehicle simulation software for testing.
