        Coupling of Creep Deformation Mechanism Equations and Dynamic Recrystallization Kinetics for the Calculation of Processing Maps for Metallic Alloys

        In the present work, kinetic equations of dynamic recrystallization and high-temperature deformation mechanism equationswere coupled to calculate and construct processing maps for metallic alloys in 2D and 3D. The validity of this method wasconfirmed for selected materials (Mg and Fe alloys) by comparing the calculated processing maps with those constructedbased on experimental data. The effect of the initial grain size on the processing maps was predicted. The proposed analysismethod is innovative because the processing map for a material of interest can be calculated as a function of strain rate,temperature and strain under any deformation condition once the dynamic recrystallization kinetics and the creep deformationequations for the material are known. Furthermore, the proposed method can provide information regarding the ratecontrollingcreep deformation mechanism and microstructural evolution at any location on the processing maps.

        The present paper is an introduction to the whole project of "The systematic studies on Korean Betulaceae". Three studies under the project were performed this year and presented in this report : a review of taxonomic literatures and the construction of distribution maps by Woo-Tchul Lee, pollen morphology by Sang-Tae Lee and Moo-Yeol Kim, and wood anatomy by Woong-Young Soh and Kwan-Bae Jeon.

        동측에 발생한 대퇴골 경부 및 간부 골절의 치료

        목적: 동측의 대퇴골 경부 골절과 간부 골절이 동반된 경우에서 수술적 치료에 대해 본원에서 실시한 수술 방법들의 결과를 분석하였다. 대상 및 방법: 수술 후 1년 이상 추시 관찰이 가능하였던 11례를 대상으로 하였으며 경부 골절은 Garden 제 1형이 3례, 제 2형이 6례, 제 3형이 1례, 제 4형이 1례였다. 간부 골절은 중간부가 7례, 원위부가 4례였다. 추시 기간은 최소 1년 이상으로 평균 33개월이었고 11례 전부가 남자였으며 나이는 22세에서 54세로 평균 38세였다. 각 수술 방법에 따른 수술시간을 측정하였으며 방사선학으로 골유합의 시기, 부정유합, 불유합 등을 평가하였고 임상적으로는 골절부의 동통 및 관절 운동장애를 평가하였다. 결과: 치료 방법으로는 경부는 다발성 피고정술이 8례, 활강압방 고 나사못고정술이 1례였으며 간부의 경우는 중간부는 역행적 Ender정 고정술이 4례 , 금속판 고정술이 1례, 재건상 골수강내 고정술이 2례, 역행적 금속정 고정술이 1례였고, 원위부는 금속판 고정술이 1례, 역행적 교합성 금속정 고정술이 3례였다. 평균 수술시간은 재건상 골수강내 골종술이 180분, 다발성 핀고정술 및 금속판 고정술이 220분, 다발성 핀고정술 및 역행적 골수강내 고정술이 200분이었다. 골유합 기간은 간부 골절의 경우 평균 5개월이었다. 경부 골절에 대한 합병증으로는 간부 골절에 대해서 Ender정 고정술을 한 1례와 간부에 금속판 고정술을 한 후 지연진단되어 경부에 다발성 핀고정술을 한 1례에서 대퇴골두에 무혈성 괴사증이 병발하였으며 재건상 골수강내 금속정 삽입술을 한 1례에서 수술시 경부 골절의 정복소실이 있었으며 간부 골절에 대한 합병증으로는 역행적 금속정 고정술을 한 2례 (Ender정 1례와 교합성 금속정 1례)에서 불유합이 생겨서 금속판 고정술 및 자가골이식술로 대치하였다. 그리고 Ender정 고정술을 한 1례에서 지속적인 슬관절 주위 동통이 있었다. 결론: 대퇴골 경부 골절과 동측의 간부 골절이 동반된 경우의 수술적 치료에서 재건상 골수강내 금속 고정술은 기술적으로 어려움이 많아서 경부와 간부의 치료를 각각 하는 것이 기술적으로 쉬웠다. 수술시는 경부 골절의 수술을 먼저 하여도 고정에 어려움이 없었으며 간부 골절은 분쇄 골절이 많기 때문에 견고한 내고정이 필요하였다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analysis the result of operative treatment in ipsilateral femur neck and shaft fracuture. Material and Methods: Eleven cases of ipsilateral femur neck and shaft fractures were operated and followed more than 1 year. There were 11 men and mean age at index operation was 38 years (range 22~54). In neck fracture there were 3 of type Ⅰ, 6 of type Ⅱ, and 1 of typeⅢ according to Garden classification, shaft fractures were located an middle 1/3 (7 cases), at distal 1/3 (4 cases). We evaluated the operation time, union time, nonunion, malunion, and clinical evaluation with pain and joint stiffness. Result: In neck fractures treatment methods were 8 of multiple pinning, 2 of reconstruction nail and 1 of CHS, in shaft fractures 2 of DCP, 7 of retrograde nailing (3 Ender nail, 4 interlocking nail). The mean operation time was 180 minutes in reconstruction nail, 220 minutes in multiple pinning and DCP and 200 minutes in multiple pinning and retrograde nailing. The mean time for shaft union was 5 months. The complications were 1 case of neck reduction loss during operation in reconstruction nailing group, 1 of persistant pain around knee in Ender nailing group. Conclusion: The author think that reconstruction nail fixation is technically difficult, thus neck and shaft fracture be fixed individually. Neck fracture can be fixed first without difficulty and shaft fractures should be fixed rigidly due to comminution.

        The characteristics of the shear stress distributionsrare studied theoretically and experimentally for the laminar steady flow and the laminar pulsating flow generated by butterfly valve in the coiled pipes with the curvature ratio of 30. The shear stress distributions are abruptly changed from θ = -60˚~-40˚ in the plane direction. The shear stress distributions for the laminar steady flow and the pulsating flow increase abruptly near the wall.

      • 품종에 따른 수수 메탄올 추출물 및 용매분획물의 항산화활성

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant contents and activities of solvent fractions from methanolic extracts of sorghum according to varieties. The cultivated varieties were Hwanggeumchal-susu (HS), Milo-susu (MS) and Jungmo 4001 (JM4). The yield of methanolic extract of HS was 4.37%, whereas those of its solvent fractions (hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water) were 8.82, 2.46, 5.24, 24.49, and 47.23%, respectively. The highest total polyphenol, flavonoid, tannin, and proanthocyanidin contents of methanolic extracts (ME) were 30.33 mg GAE/g ME, 4.69 mg CE/g ME, 25.86 mg TAE/g ME, and 675.09 μg CE/g ME from HS, respectively. The highest total polyphenol and flavonoid contents of solvent fractions (SF) were 52.87 mg GAE/g SF and 18.86 mg CE/ g SF in ethyl acetate fraction of HS, respectively. The highest total tannin and proanthocyanidin contents of solvent fractions were 39.27 mg TAE/g SF and 1210.74 μg CE /g SF in the butanol fraction of HS, respectively. The highest DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities of the solvent fractions were 20.54 and 33.85 mg TE/g SF in ethyl acetate fraction of HS, respectively. The highest catalase activity of the solvent fractions was 67.92 nmol/min/mL in ethyl acetate fraction of HS. The superoxide dismutase- like activities of methanolic extracts from HS, MS and WS were 20.22, 20.00 and 3.14 unit/mL, respectively. The results of this study show that notable antioxidant activities in sorghum flowers have significant health benefits.

        전국교도관 무도대회의 역할과 성과

        The purpose of this study is to examine the role and outcome of the National martial art competition of correctional staff. The results of the examination are as follows. First, we can find out the fact that ‘The martial match of prison guard’ was held every year through the article of the newspaper‘Chosun ilbo’and ‘Maeil sinbo which wered aily newspapers at that time. That match is origin of the National martial art competition of correctionasl taff during the Japan’s reign. After the independence in 1945, the first competition with the same name of previous one was held in the gym of prison guard academy only with Judo, July 4th in 1949, And the second compeittion was hosted in the same place, May 14th in 1955. Kumdo is included to the match officially, since then. Tae-kwondo is added at 16th competition in 1978. Since then, there have been three kinds of martial a, rtJudo, Kumdo, Taekwondo, which are officially recognized and implemented annually until the 48th competition in 2013. Second, Each martial art performance of Kumdo, Judo, Taekwondo, has been shown before the main event. Judo performance was shown in the gym of the correctionl aofficer academy in 1949 at the first competition, and bon- standard posture of each martial art - was eprformed in Judo, Kumdo. Moreover the performance of slicing a sheaf of straw by real sword was included in Kumdo performance. It was good opportunity to impress the staff members of ministry of justice and civilian about martial art spirit of correctional officer. At present, the organizing and preliminary practice of the peorfrmance is executed by the hand of martial art professors who are dispatched to the institute of justice. Th ispractice maintains for one month, based on the scenario and teaching by them. Third, the annual match became a good chance to improve jobk isll and organizational capability, during the preparation of the competition. Especifically, there are alo t of resource for the impovement. So to speak, the martial art curriculum of institute of justice, hiring maestr level employees, activate martial art club in correction facility, friendly match with Japan correction service ,chance for the promotion are good base for the improvement. There are currently about 4,100 martial art trainees which are divided into 1,300 Judo trainees, 1,300Kumdo trainees, 1,500 Taekwondo trainees that are affiliaetd with national correctional centers. Furthermore, there are about 350senior experts that have a master level, fourth-degree black belt or higher. The martial art clubs of the 50 correction facilities contribute t oimprove martial art skill for the correctional staffs and make positive image about correctional service in their community through providing martial art lecture and exchanging their skill.

      • Design of T-S(Takagi-Sugeno) Fuzzy Control Systems Under the Bound on the Output Energy

        This paper presents a new T-S(Tae-Sugeno) fuzzy controller design method satisfying the output energy bound. Maximum output energy via a quadratic Lyapunov function to obtain the bound on output energy is derived. LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) problems which satisfy an output energy bound for both of the continuous-time and discrete-time T-S fuzzy control system are also derived. Solving these LMIs simultaneously, we find a common symmetric positive definite matrix P which guarantees the global asymptotic stability of the system and stable feedback gains K's satisfying the output energy bound. A simple example demonstrates validity of the proposed design method.
