        Necrotizing pancreatitis develops in about 10-20% of patients with acute pancreatitis, and pancreatic abscesses develop in 3% of them. The mortality of pancreatic abscess has been reported up to 40% in one study. Recently, there are several reports that show good results with n on-surgical therapy, such as percutaneous drainage and endoscopic drainage, but if the non-surgical drainage fails, surgical therapy are recommended. However, there is no definite therapeutic method which is suggested yet so far after the failure of the surgical drainage. So we report the case in which we experienced successful treatment of pancreatic abscess by endoscopic removal of necrotic tissue through the gastrocystostomy, after the failure of the surgical debridement and internal drainage through gastrocystostomy.

        1845년 김대건 신부 일행의 상륙 장소에 관한 연구

        본 논문은 한국천주교회사나 지역사의 입장에서 중요한 역사적 의미를 지니고 있는 1845년 페레올((Ferreol) 주교·다블뤼(Daveluy) 신부·김대건(안드레아) 신부 일행의 상륙 장소를 체계적으로 규명한 것이다. 우선 함께 입국했던 선교사들은 그들의 상륙 장소를 `강경 항구` 또는 `강경 포구에서 좀 떨어진 외딴 곳`으로 밝혔다. 이를 바탕으로 1874년 달레는 상륙 장소를 강경 포구로 이해하는 강경포설을 제기했다. 그러나 기해·병오 순교자 시복 재판 때 최선정(베드로)이 김대건 신부 일행의 상륙 장소를 `강경 황산동네`로 증언한 기록을 토대로 1934년 피숑(Pichon) 신부는 상륙 장소를 강경포가 아니라 황산포로 이해하는 황산포설을 제기하였다. 그러나 이러한 황산포설은 상륙 장소를 `화산`으로 밝힌 나바위 본당의 기록을 자료로 활용하지 않은 점에서 한계가 있다. 한편 1882년 처음 형성된 나바위 공소 신자들의 증언을 바탕으로 1953년 김후상 신부는 김대건 신부 일행의 상륙 장소를 `화산`으로 밝혀 화산설을 제기했다. 그러나 나바위 본당의 기록에는 상륙 장소를 `강경포`나 `황산포`로 밝힌 부분도 있다. 하지만 그는 상륙 장소를 `강경 황산포 화산`으로 분명히 밝혔다. 그러므로 나바위 신앙 공동체의 기록에서 상륙 장소를 강경포로도 황산포로도 화산으로도 언급한 것은 상륙 장소인 `강경 황산포 화산`을 지명도에 따라 각기 다른 단위로 표현한 것으로서 서로 모순되지 않는다. 따라서 김대건 신부 일행의 상륙 장소는 화산으로 보는 것이 옳다. 그리고 상륙 장소의 조건을 고려할 때 화산 중에서도 나암포 쪽이나 황산포 쪽에서도 보이지 않는 금강 쪽으로 쑥 내민 서쪽 자락으로 생각된다. This paper systemically investigated the disembarkation location of Bishop Ferreol, Fr. Daveluy and Fr. Andrew Kim Tae-gon(金大建) in 1845, which has a great historic significance in the Korean Catholic Church history and the local history. First of all, the missionaries who accompanied Fr. Andrew to Korea revealed that they disembarked at Ganggyeong(江景) Port or a remote place away from an entrance to Gyanggyeong Port. Based on the statement, Dallet suggested the theory of Gyanggyeong Port that Fr. Andrew and his party disembarked at Ganggyeong Port. However, St. Peter Choi Seon-Jeong(최선정) testified that Fr. Andrew and his party disembarked at Hwangsan(黃山) village in Ganggyeong in the beatification trial on the martyrs under persecution in the years of Gihae(己亥, 1839) and Byeongoh(丙午, 1846). Based on the testimony, Fr. Pichon proposed the theory of Hwangsan(華山) that the disembarkation location was Hwangsan Port rather than Ganggyeong Port. However, there was a limit in the theory of Hwangsan since it did not consider the records of the Nabawi Catholic Community, which mentioned that the disembarkation location was Hwasan. Meanwhile, Fr. Kim Hoo-sang suggested the theory of Hwasan in 1953 that Fr. Andrew and his party disembarked at Hwasan, based on the testimony of the Nabawi Catholic Community that was founded in 1882. However, some of the records of the Nabawi Catholic Community mentioned that the disembarkation location was Ganggyeong Port or Hwangsan Port. However, he clearly revealed Hwasan of Hwangsan Port in Ganggyeong as the disembarkation location. Therefore, the terms `Ganggyeong Port`, `Hwangsan Port` or `Hwasan` in the records of the Nabawi Catholic Community were not contradictory to each other, since the disembarkation location was expressed in different units depending on the well-knownness of the area. Therefore, it is right to consider Hwasan as the location at which Fr. Andrew and his party disembarked. Given the conditions for disembarkation, it is considered that the exact location was on the western edge of Hwasan towards Geumgang River that was hardly seen from the side of Naam Port(羅巖浦) or Hwangsan Port(黃山浦).         Mirizzi's syndrome is a rare complication of the gallstone disease, characterized by narrowing of the common bile duct (CBD) due to chronic extrinsic compression of an impacted gallstone in the cystic duct or the neck of the gallbladder. The impacted gallstone may erode into the bile duct, causing cholecystocholedochal fistula. The patients generally have history of repeated attacks of jaundice and abdominal pain. But there is no report about asymptomatic Mirizzi syndrome with cholecystocholedochal fistula which were found incidentally. So herein we present our clinical experience with a case of asymptomatic Mirizzi syndrome with cholecystocholedochal fistula in a young female.

        21가지 장미꽃 품종의 페놀성 화합물 함량 및 항산화 활성

        본 연구는 21품종의 장미꽃에 대한 식품 및 화장품 원료로 사용 가능성을 살펴보기 위해 페놀성 화합물과 항산화 활성을 평가하였다. 총 폴리페놀, 총 플라보노이드 및 타닌 함량은 러버샤이 품종에서 각각 379.70 mg GAE/extract g, 50.10 mg CE/extract g 및 339.44 mg TAE/extract g으로 높게 나타났으며, 칠백리 품종에서 각각 107.25 mg GAE/extract g, 9.46 mg CE/extract g 및 36.31 mg TAE/extract g으로 낮았다. 페놀산 함량은 총 폴리페놀 함량과 유사한 결과를 보였으며, 러버샤이 품종에서 27.40 mg/extract g으로 높았다. 안토시아닌은 대부분 cyanidin-3,5-diglucoside로 확인되었으며 총 안토시아닌 함량은 유니나 품종에서 8.80 mg/extract g으로 가장 높았다. ABTS 및 DPPH 라디칼 소거 활성은 각각 428.10 및 419.59 mg AAE/extract g로 러버샤이 품종에서 가장 높았으며, 항산화 활성과 페놀 화합물의 함량과 높은 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 러버샤이와 같은 항산화 활성이 뛰어난 품종들이 관상 목적뿐만 아니라 높은 기능성을 가진 식품 및 화장품의 원료로 사용 가능성이 있다고 판단된다. This study evaluated the functional components and antioxidant activities of 21 different rose flower extracts, to confirm their value as a food and cosmetics ingredient. The highest values of total polyphenol, flavonoid and tannin contents (379.70±1.64 mg GAE/extract g, 50.10±0.76 mg CE/extract g, and 339.44±1.20 mg TAE/extract g, respectively) were obtained in Lover Shy. The proanthocyanidin content ranged from 61.88 mg CE/extract g in the Unina cultivar to 5.34±0.13 mg CE/extract g in the Aileen cultivar. The phenolic acid content obtained was highest in the Lover Shy cultivar (27.40±0.26 mg/extract g), whereas highest levels of anthocyanin (8.83±0.03 mg/extract g) were obtained in the Unina cultivar. High ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging activities were determined in the Lover Shy cultivar (428.10±0.29 and 419.59±3.12 mg AAE/extract g, respectively). Taken together, these results indicate that the antioxidant activity and functional components of Lover Shy cultivar are superior, and this extract can potentially be applied as a food and cosmetic ingredient.

        The study was conducted to evaluate the difference of life style, subjective symptoms and health cognition depending on the Sasang Constitution in the industrial workers. The results were as follows ; Constitutional distribution among exposed group were Tae-eum In(38.4%), So-eum In(35.2%), and So-yang In(26.4%) and it was turned out that Tae-eum In took a higher portion of Sasang constitution than other constitutions in technician workers. 'Exercise' and 'Obesity' were found most in Tae-eum In, In So-eum In there were many 'Normal' weight and 'Having digestive disorders' were found most in So-eum In. There were no significant difference in the health cognition among the constitutions. The closer to 'normal' weight, the higher prevalence in 'having' concern about health condition and the more 'normal' condition in sleeping, the higher prevalence of 'having' self-confident in present health.

        맨드라미(Celosia cristata L.) 꽃 메탄올 추출물로부터 용매분획된 분획물의 항산화활성

        맨드라미꽃의 식품학적 이용가능성을 확인해 보고자 항산화성분 및 항산화활성에 대해 검토하였다. 맨드라미꽃의 항산화성분과 활성은 메탄올 추출물과 순차적 용매분획물에 대해 측정하였으며, 메탄올 추출물과 hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 및 물 분획물의 추출수율은 각각 23.33, 10.27, 20.00, 13.63, 17.55 및 38.54%였다. 맨드라미 꽃 메탄올 추출물의 총 polyphenol, flavonoid 및 tannin 함량은 각각 6.80 ㎎ GAE/g ME, 2.34 ㎎ CE/g ME 및 6.23 ㎎ TAE/g ME였다. 순차적 용매분획물 중 butanol 분획에서 각각 14.92 ㎎ GAE/g SF, 5.44 ㎎ CE/g SF 및 13.38 ㎎ TAE/g SF로 함량이 높았다. 총 proanthocyanidin 함량은 44.72 ㎍ CE/g ME였고 순차적 용매분획물은 각각 42.47, 44.43, 50.03, 49.12 및 41.80 ㎍ CE/g ER로 용매간 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 맨드라미꽃의 메탄올 추출물의 DPPH 및 ABTS radical 소거활성은 각각 5.24 및 10.70 ㎎ TE/g ME였고 butanol 분획에서 각각 12.53 및 21.09 ㎎ TE/g SF로 활성이 높았다. 메탄올 추출물의 SOD 유사활성은 7.96 unit/mL로 나타났고 hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 및 물 분획물은 각각 4.56, 6.15, 8.07, 12.36 및 5.21 unit/mL로 butanol 분획의 활성이 높았다. 맨드라미꽃 추출물의 항산화성분과 항산화활성 간에 높은 정의 상관관계를 보였고 맨드라미꽃 추출물이 체내 및 식품에서 유익한 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant contents and activities of solvent fractions from methanolic extracts of cockscome flowers. The yield of methanolic extracts from cockscome flowers was 23.33%, whereas those of its solvent fractions (hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water) were 10.27, 20.00, 13.63, 17.55, and 38.54%, respectively. Total polyphenolic, flavonoid, tannin, and proanthocyanidin contents of methanolic extracts (ME) were 6.80 ㎎ gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g ME, 2.34 ㎎ catechin equivalent (CE)/g ME, 6.23 ㎎ tannic acid equivalent (TAE)/g ME, and 44.72 ㎍ CE/g ME, respectively. The highest total polyphenolic, flavonoid, and tannin contents of solvent fractions were 14.92 ㎎ GAE/g solvent fraction (SF), 5.44 ㎎ CE/g SF, and 13.38 ㎎ TAE/g SF in the butanol fraction, respectively. The total proanthocyanidin contents were 42.47, 44.43, 50.03, 49.12, and 41.80 ㎍ CE/g SF, respectively. The DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities from cockscome flowers were 5.24 and 10.70 ㎎ Trolox equivalent (TE)/g ME, respectively. The highest DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities of the solvent fractions were 12.53 and 21.09 ㎎ TE/g SF in the butanol fraction, respectively. SOD-like activities of methanolic extracts from cockscome flowers were 7.96 units/mL, whereas those of its solvent fractions were 4.56, 6.15, 8.07, 12.36, and 5.21 units/mL, respectively. The results of this study show that notable antioxidant activities in cockscome flowers have significant health benefits.

        비수리(Lespedeza cuneata G. Don) 메탄올 추출물로부터 분획된 용매분획물의 항산화활성과 α-Glucosidase 저해활성

        비수리의 식품학적 이용가능성을 확인해 보고자 항산화성분 및 항산화활성, superoxide dismutase 유사활성, α-glucosidase 저해활성 등에 대해 검토하였다. 비수리 메탄올 추출물과 hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 및 물 분획 등 순차적 용매분획물의 총 폴리페놀 함량은 각각 12.44, 3.61, 6.39, 27.11, 20.00 및 9.32 ㎎ GAE/g extract residue(ER)로 나타났으며, 총 플라보노이드 함량은 각각 2.94, 9.92, 7.77, 9.27, 5.11 및 2.66 ㎎ CE/g ER, 총 탄닌 함량은 각각 8.75, 10.04, 7.42, 17.32, 11.65 및 7.61 ㎎ TAE/g ER, 총 프로안토시아니딘의 함량은 346.09, 63.50, 103.76, 288.62, 231.99 및 358.48 ㎍ CE/g ER로 나타났다. 비수리 메탄올 추출물과 hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, butanol 및 물 분획물의 DPPH radical 소거활성은 각각 20.62, 5.16, 9.29, 20.80, 20.00 및 20.79 ㎎ TE/g ER, ABTS radical 소거활성은 각각 33.86, 9.24, 17.36, 33.76, 33.49 및 33.86 ㎎ TE/g ER로 나타났다. SOD 유사활성은 각각 4.12, 0.61, 2.01, 9.89, 13.47 및 11.82 unit/mL의 활성을 보여 butanol 분획과 물 분획에서 유의적으로 높은 활성을 나타내었고 α-glucosidase 저해활성은 물 분획 50 및 25 ㎍/mL에서 각각 93.85 및 61.64%로 높은 저해활성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에서 비수리 추출물은 항산화성분 및 항산화활성, SOD 유사활성, α-glucosidase 저해활성을 가지는 물질을 함유한 것으로 보이며, 체내 및 식품에서 활성산소 종 제거에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant contents and antioxidant activities of solvent fractions from methanolic extract of sericea lespedeza. To determine the antioxidant compounds in solvent fractions from methanolic extract, total polyphenolic, flavonoid, tannin, and proanthocyanidin contents were measured by spectrophotometric methods. Solvent fractions were evaluated for antioxidative capacity according to DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities. Total polyphenolic contents were 12.44, 3.61, 6.39, 27.11, 20.00, and 9.32 ㎎ gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g extract residue (ER), respectively. Total flavonoid contents were 2.94, 9.92, 7.77, 9.27, 5.11, and 2.66 ㎎ catechin equivalent (CE)/g ER, respectively. Total tannin contents were 8.75, 10.04, 7.42, 17.32, 11.65, and 7.61 ㎎ tannic acid equivalent (TAE)/g ER, respectively. Total proanthocyanidin contents were 346.09, 63.50, 103.76, 288.62, 231.99, and 358.48 ㎍ CE/g ER, respectively. DPPH radical scavenging activities of solvent fractions from methanolic extract of sericea lespedeza were 20.62, 5.16, 9.29, 20.80, 20.00 and 20.79 ㎎ Trolox equivalent (TE)/g ER, and ABTS radical scavenging activities were 33.86, 9.24, 17.36, 33.76, 33.49, and 33.86 ㎎ TE/g ER, respectively. SOD-like activities were 4.12, 0.61, 2.01, 9.89, 13.47, and 11.82 units/mL, and α-glucosidase inhibition activities were 93.85 and 61.64% at concentrations of 50 and 25 ㎍/mL in the water fraction, respectively. The results of this study show that notable antioxidant activities in sericea lespedeza have significant health benefits.

        불완전 전뇌 허혈후 소생의 백서 모델을 이용한 재관류 뇌혈류량과 허혈성 뇌조직 손상도와의 관계

        Background: Experimental data indicate that low-flow reperfusion following prolonged cardiocirculatory arrest may aggravate early cerebral microcirculatory reperfusion disorders. We investigated the influence of cerebral reperfusion flow change to the ischemic histopathologic damage of brain tissue after incomplete forebrain ischemia in rats. Materials and method: Anesthetized Sprague-Dawley rats were undergone ligation of both internal carotid artery by microvascular clamp for 10 minutes. After release of the clamp, reperfusion was started with several different flow levels (0, 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100%) of internal carotid artery comparing to pre-clamping phase using flowmeter. After 15minutes of reperfusion, rat brains were prepared by perfusion-fixation with 3% formaldehyde. Under light microscopic examination of Hematoxylin-Eosin stained tissue slide, histopathologic damage was examined at cortex, putamen, and hippocampus regions. Categorical hisotopathologic damage scores were derived in each regions by manual counts of ischemic neurons. Result: The histopathologic damage scores were 0, 10.2±0.5, 7.6±1.5, 5.9±1.4, 5.0±2.8, 3.5±0.7, and 1.0±0.0 in control, 0, 10,20, 30, 50, and 100% reperfusion groups, respectively(p<0.05). Conclusion: Our results showed significant increment of brain histopathologic damage scores along with decreasing amount of cerebral reperfusion flow after incomplete forebrain ischemia. We believe restoration of reperfusion flow to pre-ischemic level would be a critical component in attenuation of brain ischemic damage.
