중국 안휘성 소속 대학교 창업교육의 창업 실천 사례연구

        ng Jīnlíng,ng Màn,Tíng 한국국제교육교류학회 2021 국제교류와 융합교육 Vol.1 No.2

With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, it is particularly important to strengthen the development of start-up innovation among Chinese university students, that is, public innovation is no longer a slogan.College student start-ups can promote the constant development of society, provide more jobs to society, diversify college students' experiences, and help college students gain experience. However, currently, there are problems such as an imbalance in economic and educational development in China, which affects the aggressiveness of college student start-ups. This study aims to contribute to the development of innovative start-ups in Chinese university students by analyzing the influencing factors of innovative start-ups for college students and presenting solutions.

T-RFLP reveals high &bgr;-Proteobacteria diversity in microbial fuel cells enriched with domestic wastewater

        Lefebvre, O.,Ha Nguyen, T.T.,Al-Mamun, A.,Chang, I.S.,Ng, H.Y. Blackwell Publishing Ltd 2010 Journal of applied microbiology Vol.109 No.3

Abstract

Aims:

To assess the biodiversity of a large number of microbial fuel cell (MFC) anodes from a variety of MFC designs, all enriched with domestic wastewater, using a molecular fingerprinting method.

Methods and Results:

We optimized a protocol allowing the rapid characterization of MFC communities using terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) with two different sets of primers and a varying number of restriction enzymes. This protocol was further validated by direct comparison with bacterial clone libraries. Twenty-one MFC anodes were analysed by T-RFLP. We also provided a statistical comparison with other bacterial communities from environments sharing common features.

Conclusions:

Bacterial communities were dominated by &bgr;-Proteobacteria, mostly belonging to the Burkholderiales order, that are known to play an active role in the cycle of metals such as iron and manganese. This property may allow them to properly pass electrons to the anode of an MFC.

Significance and Impact of the Study:

Unlike other groups, &bgr;-Proteobacteria have seldom been acknowledged as potentially efficient electrochemically active bacteria (EAB) in MFCs. Yet, they are plentiful in natural environments like biocorrosion biofilms and acid mine drainages that consequently show some potential for MFC enrichment.

Wheelchair martial arts practitioners have similar bone strength, sitting balance and self-esteem to healthy individuals

Fong, Shirley S.M.,Ng, Shamay S.M.,Li, Anthony O.T.,Guo, X. korean Academy of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation 2014 Physical therapy rehabilitation science Vol.3 No.1

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the radial bone strength, sitting balance ability and global self-esteem of wheelchair martial arts practitioners and healthy control participants. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Nine wheelchair martial art practitioners with physical disabilities and 28 able-bodied healthy individuals participated in the study. The bone strength of the distal radius was assessed using the Sunlight Mini-Omni Ultrasound Bone Sonometer; sitting balance was quantified using the modified functional reach test (with reference to a scale marked on the wall); and the self-administered Rosenberg self-esteem (RSE) scale was used to measure the global self-esteem of the participants. The velocity of the ultrasound wave (speed of sound, m/s) traveling through the outer surface of the radial bone was measured and was then converted into a T-score and a Z-score. These ultrasound T-score and Z-score that represent bone strength; the maximum forward reaching distance in sitting (cm) that represents sitting balance; and the RSE total self-esteem score that indicates global self-esteem were used for analysis. Results: The results revealed that there were no statistically significant between-group differences for radial bone-strength, maximum forward reaching distance, or self-esteem outcomes. Conclusions: The wheelchair martial arts practitioners had similar radial bone strength, sitting balance performance and self-esteem to able-bodied healthy persons. Our results imply that wheelchair martial arts might improve bone strength, postural control and self-esteem in adult wheelchair users. This new sport-wheelchair martial arts-might be an exercise option for people with physical disabilities.

INDIAN MERCHANTS IN ANCIENT SOUTHEAST ASIA: THE CASE OF ÓC EO – FUNAN

Nguyễn Văn Kim,Doãn Tùng Anh 부경대학교 글로벌지역학연구소 2022 Journal of Global and Area Studies(JGA) Vol.6 No.1

Being considered a trading polity, Funan was known to have established relationships with major regional economic centers and nations. At its height, Funan controlled a variety of valuable resources and dominated the Southeast Asian maritime trade network, which included many trading ports, raw materials production centers, as well as the Isthmus of Kra, the principal link in the East-West trade route. In this, Indians, notably traders and craftsmen, did not only limit their presence to trading with Funan, but had also permanently settled in the Lower Mekong Delta. They were involved in political life, propagating religion, enriching culture, and producing commodities. Indians’ contributions set the commodity standards for Funan’s economy, affecting arts and the current of ideas in Funan, as well as other Southeast Asian states. Together with internal factors, these external factors influenced the transformation of Funan into a regional power.

Prognostic factors and treatment outcomes in surgicallystaged noninvasive uterine clear cell carcinoma: a Turkish Gynecologic Oncology Group study

        Mustafa Erkan Sarı,Mehmet Mutlu Meydanlı,Osman Türkmen,Günsü Kimyon Cömert,Ahmet Taner Turan,Alper Karalök,Hanifi Şahin,Ali Haberal,Eda Kocaman,Özgür Akbayır,Baki Erdem,Ceyhun Numanoğlu,Kemal Güngördü 대한부인종양학회 2017 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.28 No.4

Objective: To assess the prognosis of surgically-staged non-invasive uterine clear cell carcinoma (UCCC), and to determine the role of adjuvant therapy. Methods: A multicenter, retrospective department database review was performed to identify patients with UCCC who underwent surgical treatment between 1997 and 2016 at 8 Gynecologic Oncology Centers. Demographic, clinicopathological, and survival data were collected. Results: A total of 232 women with UCCC were identified. Of these, 53 (22.8%) had surgically-staged non-invasive UCCC. Twelve patients (22.6%) were upstaged at surgical assessment, including a 5.6% rate of lymphatic dissemination (3/53). Of those, 1 had stage IIIA, 1 had stage IIIC1, 1 had stage IIIC2, and 9 had stage IVB disease. Of the 9 women with stage IVB disease, 5 had isolated omental involvement indicating omentum as the most common metastatic site. UCCC limited only to the endometrium with no extra-uterine disease was confirmed in 41 women (73.3%) after surgical staging. Of those, 13 women (32%) were observed without adjuvant treatment whereas 28 patients (68%) underwent adjuvant therapy. The 5-year disease-free survival rates for patients with and without adjuvant treatment were 100.0% vs. 74.1%, respectively (p=0.060). Conclusion: Extra-uterine disease may occur in the absence of myometrial invasion (MMI), therefore comprehensive surgical staging including omentectomy should be the standard of care for women with UCCC regardless of the depth of MMI. Larger cohorts are needed in order to clarify the necessity of adjuvant treatment for women with UCCC truly confined to the endometrium.

      • Going beyond oracle property: Selection consistency and uniqueness of local solution of the generalized linear model

        Ng, C.T.,Oh, S.,Lee, Y. Elsevier BV 2016 Statistical methodology Vol.32 No.-

Recently, the selection consistency of penalized least square estimators has received a great deal of attention. For the penalized likelihood estimation with certain non-convex penalties, search space can be constructed within which there exists a unique local minimizer that exhibits selection consistency in high-dimensional generalized linear models under certain conditions. In particular, we prove that the SCAD penalty of Fan and Li (2001) and a new modified version of the unbounded penalty of Lee and Oh (2014) can be employed to achieve such a property. These results hold even for the non-sparse cases where the number of relevant covariates increases with the sample size. Simulation studies are provided to compare the performance of SCAD penalty and the newly proposed penalty. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
