        In this study, butyl rubber, which is the main material constituting the self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing sheet, was mixed with reclaimed rubber, and tensile strength, tear strength, peeling resistance strength, and adhesion strength were measured for sample prepared by mixing ratio. As a result, it was confirmed that peeling resistance strength and adhesion strength decreased as the reclaimed rubber content increased, and tensile strength and tear strength did not change significantly.

        Investigation on Image Quality of Smartphone Cameras as Compared with a DSLR Camera by Using Target Image Edges

        This paper presents a set of methods to evaluate the image quality of smartphone cameras as compared with that of a DSLR camera. In recent years, smartphone cameras have been used broadly for many purposes. As the performance of smartphone cameras has been enhanced considerably, they can be considered to be used for precise mapping instead of metric cameras. To evaluate the possibility, we tested the quality of one DSLR camera and 3 smartphone cameras. In the first step, we compare the amount of lens distortions inherent in each camera using camera calibration sheet images. Then, we acquired target sheet images, extracted reference lines from them and evaluated the geometric quality of smartphone cameras based on the amount of errors occurring in fitting a straight line to observed points. In addition, we present a method to evaluate the radiometric quality of the images taken by each camera based on planar fitting errors. Also, we propose a method to quantify the geometric quality of the selected camera using edge displacements observed in target sheet images. The experimental results show that the geometric and radiometric qualities of smartphone cameras are comparable to those of a DSLR camera except lens distortion parameters.

        Further Notes on Intervention Effects on Reconstruction

        The main purpose of this paper is to examine the domain and properties of reconstruction of long-distance scrambled phrases in Korean. We argue that Beck & Kim’s (1997) intervention effect can be extended to reconstruction cases, which corroborates the conclusion made by Bae (2020). The main evidence comes from the data showing that long-distance scrambled phrases (outside their base positions) can interact with the syntactic operations such as binding and also affect semantic interpretation of idioms. In particular, we show that the interpretive option for anaphors and idioms is determined by how far reconstruction can be implemented. The result further suggests that binding condition A is not a derivational condition in Korean (contra Belleti & Rizzi 1998).

        A Study on the Moderating Effect of the Intention to Use Payment Service Derived from FinTech

        본 연구는 모바일 결제 서비스를 이용한 개인을 대상으로 모바일 간편 결제 서비스 특성인 편의성, 보안성과 개인의 특성인 혁신성, 위험성이 서비스 이용 의도에 영향을 주는지 실증분 석을 통해 검증하고자 한다. 모바일 간편 결제 서비스의 특성이 사용의도에 어떤 영향이 미치 는 지를 실증 분석을 통해 확인하여 연구결과에 대한 시사점을 제공하여 핀테크 기반 모바일 결제 서비스 제공자가 핀테크 기업 및 산업이 고려해야 할 미래전략 및 서비스 개발 방향을 수립할 수 있도록 정보를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 설문지는 2021년 4월 10일부터 4월 20일까지 약 230부를 수집되었으며, 전체 설문지 중 불성실한 응답한 11부를 제외한 219부가 통계처리에 사용되었다. 간편 결제 시스템의 특성을 알아보기 위해 편의성, 보안성과 소비자 의 개인적 특성을 알아보기 위해 혁신성과 위험성에 대한 두 가지 특성을 통해 서비스의 이용 의도와 보안성과 위험성에 대한 매개효과에 대한 실증분석을 하였다. 아울러 성별을 조절변수 로 하여 검증한 결과 편의성, 혁신성은 이용의도에 유의한 결과를 나타났고, 보안성은 위험성 에 유의한 결과를 나타났지만 위험성은 이용의도에 유의한 결과로 나타나지 않았다. 서비스 이용의도가 가장 높은 간편 결제 시스템의 특징인 편의성이 64.4%, 혁신성이 20.3%로 이용의 도를 보였다. 보안성이 높을수록 위험에 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 위험 성은 이용의도에 유의하지 않게 나타났다. 따라서 모바일 결제 서비스를 이용하는 가장 큰 요 인으로 편리성으로 본 연구에도 같은 결과를 보여주었다. Purpose : This study verifies through empirical analysis whether convenience, security, innovation, and risk affect their intention to use the service. The purpose of the study is to identify how the characteristics of mobile easy payment services affect their intention to use and provide implications for the results so that fintech-based mobile easy payment service providers can establish future strategies and service development directions to contribute to the continued spread and growth of the fintech industry. Research design, data, methodology : The questionnaire collected 230 copies from April 10 to April 20, 2021, of which 219 were used for statistical processing. The structural equation model (SEM) was used to test hypothesis in this research. Results : Convenience and innovation have shown significant results in the intention to use, security has shown significant results in the risk, but risk has not shown significant results in the intention to use. In addition, it was shown that there are differences in gender moderating effects. Conclusions : Convenience, which is a characteristic of the easy payment system with the highest service usage, was 64.4% and innovation was 20.3%. The higher the security, the more negative the risk was. However, the risk was not shown to be significant in intention to use. Therefore, this study showed the same result as convenience as the biggest factor in using mobile easy payment services.

        Electrical characteristics of multi-walled carbon nanotube-polyethylene composites by catalyst and gas control

        In this study, the electrical conductivity of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and polyethylene synthesized by an extrusion process was evaluated. The MWCNTs used exhibited differences in their dispersion characteristics depending on the type of catalyst or synthesis gas used. Thus, the choice of catalyst or synthesis gas significantly affect the physicochemical state of the final MWCNTs and MWCNT-based composites. In this investigation, the characteristics of MWCNTs were analyzed in four cases by introducing ethylene and propylene gas to each catalyst synthesized using deposition precipitation and spray drying methods. The MWCNT-based composites synthesized using the catalyst prepared by deposition precipitation and the ethylene synthesis gas showed the best electrical conductivity. In principle, the morphologies of the MWCNTs indicate that the smaller the aggregate size and bundle thickness, the better the electrical conductivity of the MWCNT composites. This implies that the network is well-formed.

      • Hydrocotyle ramiflora attenuates benign prostatic hyperplasia in the rats

        Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common urogenital disorder that affects up to 85% of males who are over 50 years-old. BPH is characterized by the increased proliferation of epithelial and stromal cells of the prostate. Hydrocotyle ramiflora (HR) of the family Apiaceae, is a perennial plant. HR is known as the induction of diuresis and antipyretic activity. And HR is used for therapy of disease of urinary system, such as ischuria and cystitis. The present study evaluated the therapeutic effects of HR on a testosterone-induced BPH rats. We induced BPH to rats by subcutaneous injections (s.c) of testosterone propionate (TP) daily for four weeks. Rats were also administered daily oral gavage of HR (150 mg/kg) or vehicle. After four weeks of induction, all animals were euthanized humanely and their prostate glands were removed, weighed and processed for further analysis, including histopathological examination, immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR, and western blot analysis. Administration of HR to TP-induced BPH rats considerably reduced prostate weight, epithelial thickness and expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). The expression of cleavage of caspase-3 was markedly increased by HR-treatment in the rats. In addition, HR decreased the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-8 (IL-8) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and suppressed the expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor(VEGF) and Transforming Growth Factor beta 1 (TGF-β1). The activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) and The expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were reduced by HR treatment in a TP-induced BPH rat model. These results indicate that HR is beneficial in the treatment of BPH by promoting the apoptosis and inhibiting the inflammation. Therefore, HR could be a useful agent in the treatment of BPH.

        Fabrication and Characterization of MWCNTs by Syngas and Temperature Conditions

        The morphologies, bulk densities, and synthesis yields of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were analyzed by optimizing the catalyst, syngas, and synthesis temperature, which are key factors in the production of MWCNTs. In addition, MWCNTs were applied to polymer composites, and their electrical conductivities were evaluated through surface resistance measurements. The catalyst used in this process was a deposition precipitation method that offers favorable uniformity of loading through the liquid phase process and provides the advantage of controlling the shape using a support. Furthermore, physical and electrical analyses were performed in the range from 650 to 725°C using ethylene, butane, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) syngas. The results showed that the optimal synthesis yield and electrical conductivity of ethylene and butane were observed at 675°C, while those of LPG syngas were observed at 700°C. This implies that the aggregate diameter and bundle length tend to decrease under the most optimal conditions.
