This paper presents the analysis of the analysis of thrust characteristics of linear induction motors(LIMs) according to secondary reaction plate. LIMs are well known as high speed transport systems, which can obtain thrust directly without gears and links, or auxiliary mechanisms. A simple structure, easy maintenance, and less environmental pollution are advantages of LIMs. In transport systems using LIMs, the secondary reaction plate is an important design factor, because it has considerable impact on the cost of the railway as well as the performance of the LIMs. This paper deals analyzed the characteristics of linear induction motor used for moving the vehicle of container scanner. Thrust, efficiency and load characteristic were interpreted with FEM regarding two models whose material of secondary reaction plate was copper and aluminum. It suggested the interpretation of thrust, efficiency and power factor characteristic along slip and compared the operation ability of linear induction motor through characteristics analysis along the load.

Up to now, triage system for all emergent patients, which can be used fast and conviently according to their severity has not been developed yet. For the triage of trauma patient, emergency medical technicians and emergency medical doctors are commonly using R.T.S. (Revised Trauma Score). The R.T.S. consists of GCS(Glasgow coma scale), systolic blood, pressure and respiration rate per minute. But it is difficult for emergency medical technicians to calculate GCS in the prehospital because of its complexity and need for more time. Therefore we develop the Triage Score by remodelling the R.T.S. by replacing GCS with AVPU scale and systolic blood pressure that is under 49 mmHg after adding 1-49 mmHg with 0 mmHg and respiration rate per minute that is under 5/min after adding 1-5/min with 0/min. We stuied the significance and the possible triage application of Triage Score in traumatic emergency patients. For nontraumatic emergency patients, we develop the Modified Triage Score to triage the cardiovascular emergencies by adding the item of chest pain to Triage Score. A prospective study was carried out on 530 patients from March 1 to 31 1996. There were 210 trauma patients and 320 nontraumatic emergency patients and the result shows as follows. For trauma patients, there was linear correlation between R.T.S. and Triage Score(R²=0.965). Comparison analysis between high risk group (admission+death patients) and low risk group(discharge patients) of nontraumatic emergency patients by using Modified Triage Score is statistically significant(P<0,001) The cardiovascular emergencies could not categorized as urgency by Triage Score, but that was possible by application of Modified Triage Score. In conclusion, we can triage the injured patients effectively by Triage Score and the nontraumatic emergency patients including emergency cardiovascular disease can be categorized as urgency by applying the Modified Triage Score.

석회암을 이용한 골재의 알칼리 반응성을 측정하기 위하여 한국공업규격의 표준시험 방법에 의한 팽창성을 측정하였다. 기존의 연구결과에 의하면 특히 백운석을 포함하는 석회암의 경우 골재-알칼리 반응이 상당한 것으로 알려지고 있으나, 본 연구에 사용된 석회암 시료의 경우는 알칼리 반응성이 매우 작은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 역학적 특성의 결과도 매우 양호하며 골재로서의 활용성이 충분한 것으로 판단된다. An experimental program was undertaken to investigate the alkali-aggregate reaction of limestone aggregates, following the standard testing method for potential alkali reactivity of carbonate rocks for concrete aggregates. It is generally known tat dolomitic limestones may exhibit high potential of alkali-aggregate reaction. However, the limestone samples employed in this study showed negligible effect of the alkali reaction, even with substantial dolomite content. It is also concluded that the mechanical properties of the limestone aggregates are adaptable for concrete aggregates
RF-Module 과 FSK Modem을 이용한 원거리 전광판 제어 시스템의 구현

최근 많은 분야에서 사용되고 있는 소형 전광판을 이용하여 원거리에서도 메시지 전달이 가능한 광고용 전광판을 제작하였다. FSK Modem과 RF-Module을 이용하여 실시간으로 광고의 내용을 바꾸는 것을 원칙으로 구현하였다.
심정지환자에서 epinephrine투여시 혈중 catecholamine의 변화

Background : Cardiac arrest is a potent stimulus for the release of endogenous catecholamine and high plasma catecholamine concentration has been reported during cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR). Few data were present about the clinical effect of high plasma catecholamine and endogenous catecholamine response to exogenous epinephrine administration during CPR. Purpose : This study was designed to evaluate endogenous catecholamine response to cardiac arrest and exogenously administered epinephrine during CPR. Method : In 21 cardiac arrest victims, blood sample for epinephrine and norepinephrine was drawn before and 1 minute after each epinephrine administration during CPR. 1mg of epinephrine was administered immediately after intravenous access and 3 minute interval during CPR. Plasma catecholamines were quantitated by high-performance liquid chromatography. Result : Baseline plasma epinephrine concentraqtion was higher in patients with cardiac arrest than normal controls (985±1627 vs 194±173 pg/ml, p<0.05). Baseline plasma norepinephrine concentration was also elevated in patients with cardiac arrest than normal controls, although statistically insignificnat(1965±4915 vs 360±250 pg/ml). Plasma epinephrine concentration in cardiac arrest patients was significantly elevated after exogenous administration of epinephrine, but its response was blunted after the third does of epinephrine. Plasma norepinephrine concentration in cardiac arrest patients was also elevated, but its response was observed only after the first epinephrine administration. Plasma epinephrine concentration was persistently higher in patients with return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) than patients without ROSC. there was no significant difference of plasma norepinephrine concentration whether spontaneous circulation was restored or not. Endogenous epinephrine response to exogenous epinephrine was not observed in patients having prolonged arrest time over 20 minutes. Conclusion : Results of this study suggests that significant amount of catecholamine is released by exogenous epinephrine administration in spite of high plasma catecholamine concentration, and degree of endogenous catecholamine response influences resuscitation outcome.

Buena parte de los latinoamericanistas tanto de Mexico como extranjeros coinciden en que una de las pecoliaridades mas notables de la cultura politica mexicana es la llamada 'camarilla'. La camarilla puede definirse como un grupo exclusivo de personas que buscan la posibilidad de elevar sus poderes politicos. En terminos generales, la camarilla, como la cultura del reclutamiento politice se deriva de 3 fuentes : la familia, la educacion y la carrera(experiencia) social. Entre ellas, la educacion demuestra el destacado cambio en nuestros dias. En la epoca cardenista, la carrera militar en la revolucion Mexicana fue un factor clave en la reproduccion de la elite politica mexicana. Con el transcurso del ano, la mayoria de los dirigentes politicos se reclutaron en el campo de derecho, principalmente de UNAM, lo que llamaria el liderazgo posrevolucionario. Entrando en la decada de los ochenta, se da un cambio significativo en las normas de seleccion, es decir se esta transformando la regla de formar la camarilla. Por ejemplo, se eleva el grado academico de los hombres del Presidente: muchos de ellos optan por el doctorado cada vez mas en las universidades prestigiosas de EE.UU. que en las nacionales. Ademas el gabiente presidencial se hace mas joven y el origen de sus miembros se concentra en el D.F. Se diversifica el area de estudio: la facultad de derecho ya no es el espacio para futuros politicos sino que los economistas ocupan los puestos importantes del gobierno. De manera definitiva, se puede decir que esto es el liderazgo tecnocratico. Como menciono el propio Presidente Zedillo, Mexico trabaja con un nuevo liderazgo, el tecnocrata. La manana de reforma politica, la que anhelan tanto los mexicanos, dependeria de sus manos, de la 'generacion de cambio'.
혼수상태의 외상환자에서 초음파를 이용한 흉부 및 복부손상의 진단

The need for rapid diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening thoracic and intra-abdominal injury result in controversy over the appropriate triage of unconscious blunt trauma patients. To aid in early decisions for these patients, a prospective analysis of 98 patients with glasgow coma scale(GCS) scores≤8 was undertaken. Although intra-thoracic and intra-abdominal injuries were frequently identified based on systolic blood ressure, the use of clinical signs alone resulted in more missed injuries than did using the emergency ultrasonography. In normotensive patients(n=34), intra-thoracic injuries was identified in one patient(2.9%), and intra-abdominal injuries were in 7 patients(20.6%). In shock(systolic blood pressure<90mmHg) Pa-tients(n=64), thoracic injuries and intra-abdominal injuries were diagnosed in 8(12.5%) and 27 patients(42.3%), thoracic and abdominal combined injuries were identified in 11 patients(17.2%). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of emergency ultrasonography were 96.3%, 91.7%, 94.9%. This study suggests that all unconscious trauma patients undergo immediate emergency ultrasonography to prevent missing life-threatening injuries.
