소아와 청장년기 아토피 피부염 환자에서 MAST 화학발광법에 관한 비교연구

Background and Objective: The MAST-CLA (multiple allergosorbent test-chemiluminescent assay) is a new assay for serum allergen specific IgE and allows many allergens to be tested simultaneously. Futhermore, it has shown good sensitivity, specificity and a correlation with the RAST and skin prick test. The purpose of this study was comparatively to evaluate results of the MAST-CLA between child and adolescence atopic dermatitis. Materials and Methods: Our study was designed by analyzing outpatients with atopic dermatitis through the MAST-CLA with a total IgE and allergen specific IgE in fifty children and twenty adolescence patients. Results: The results were as followings; 1) Among the subjects, 77% (child group; 76%, adolescence group; 80%) of patients showed elevated serum total IgE levels and 57.1% (child group; 50%, adolescence group; 75%) revealed at least more than one allergen specific IgE by the MAST-CLA. But, this did not show statistical significance. 2) Patients positive rates of commonly detected allergens were D. farinae 47% (child group; 42%, adolescence group; 60%), D. pteronyssinus 34% (child group; 28%, adolescence group; 50%), house-dust 23% (child group; 20%, adolescence group; 30%). But, all food allergens were positive lower than 5%. 3) The positive allergen specific IgE in food allergens was detected in only child atopic dermatitis patients. This difference between child and adolescence group showed statistical significance(P=0.027). 4) Good correlation was obtained between total IgE levels and number of positive allergen speficif IgE in the MAST-CLA, with 0.465 correlation coefficient. Conclusion: Our results suggest that MAST-CLA may be used as an effective method to evaluate inhalant allergens in adolescence more than child atopic dermatitis patients. Additionally, it is recommended that more speficif allergens should be added to Korean panel of MAST-CLA.
Butyl cyanoacrylate가 성견 치은절제술후의 치유에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to observe the comparative clinical and histological changes associated with healing following the use of cyanoacrylates and no dressing in the 1st molar areas where gingivectomy procedures had been carried out. In this experimental study, 5 adult mongrel dogs were used and each dog divided into one control and the other experimental areas. The dogs were sacrificed on the 3rd, 7th, 14th, 21th, and 28th day. The experimental areas were observed clinically, and histological specimens were made following the usual methods and observes with light microscope. The results were as follows. In the clinical observations. immediately after the gingivectomy, postoperative hemostasis was made more rapidly on the experimental areas. On the 3rd day, the majority of the cyanoacrylate on the experimental areas were detached, and the complete detachment of the cyanoacrylate was observed on the 7th day. In the histologic observations, the experimental areas as compared with the controls:there was a thiner covering of fibrotic pseudoepithelium, and lesser edematous fibrous matrix and weaker inflammatory cell infiltration on the lower connective tissue was shown on the 3rd and 7th day. The extension of the blood vessels of the experimental areas was lesser than the control areas. But through the entire procedure of the histologic observations, there was little difference between two in the degree of healings after the 14day. On the 28th day, there was secondary inflammation on the both areas because of dental plaque and food debris.
A Study on the Eclipse Estimation and Management of the COMS for On-station Operation

The COMS will be located at 128.2 deg East in geostationary orbit with three missions, one is a continuous monitoring of imagery and extracting of meteorological products, another is a monitoring of marine environments around Korean peninsular. The other is experimental telecommunication with Ka band payload. In space, especially geostationary orbit. various space circumstances, especially eclipse should be considered to operate the COMS in safety. The eclipse management which has two types of the Sun eclipse that causes a geostationary satellite to be in the shadow. The most common one is caused by the Earth blocking the sunlight and happens near equinoxes. The Earth caused eclipses can continue up to 45 days around equinox with the satellite being in the shadow up to 72 minutes each day. The eclipse estimation which is classified with the Sun eclipse by the Moon. the Sun eclipse by the Earth and the Moon eclipse by the Earth, are required for the purpose of the payloads and satellite operation. On station, two sub-system are concerned by the Sun eclipse, the one is AOCS because the Sun is used in normal mode for yaw estimation, the other is electrical power subsystem, because there is no more the Sun on the solar array to provide the power. We estimate entry and exit of eclipse of partial and total eclipse from geometrical relationship between the Sun, the Moon, the Earth and the COMS. This estimation is based on the stationkeeping simulation plan which will be done with 7 days period.

Background/Aims: Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the stomach is an uncommon disease. Bone marrow involvement is reported even in patients with only a mucosal lesion. We evaluated the prevalence and risk factors of marrow involvement and its implications for diagnosis and treatment. Methods: In total, 132 patients who were diagnosed with gastric MALT lymphoma at the National Cancer Center in Korea between January 2001 and December 2016 were enrolled in the study. The patient data were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results: Of the 132 patients, 47 (35.6%) were male, with a median age of 52 years (range, 17 to 81 years). The median follow-up duration was 48.8 months (range, 0.5 to 169.9 months). Helicobacter pylori infection was detected in 82 patients (62.1%). Most patients (80.3%) had stage IE1 according to the modified Ann Arbor staging system. Ninety-two patients underwent bone marrow evaluation, and four patients (4.3%) had marrow involvement. Of these patients, one presented with abdominal lymph node involvement, while the other three had stage IE1 disease if marrow involvement was disregarded. All three patients had no significant symptoms and were monitored after local treatment without evidence of disease aggravation. Conclusions: Bone marrow involvement was found in 4.3% of the patients with gastric MALT lymphoma. Bone marrow examination may be deferred because marrow involvement does not change the treatment options or outcome in gastric MALT lymphoma confined to the stomach wall. (Gut Liver 2018;12:278-287)

A spacecraft placed in an Earth-Moon L2 quasi-halo orbit can maintain constant communication between the Earth and the far side of the Moon. This quasi-halo orbit could be used to establish a lunar space station and serve as a gateway to explore the solar system. For a mission in an Earth-Moon L2 quasi-halo orbit, a spacecraft would have to be transferred from the Earth to the vicinity of the Earth-Moon L2 point, then inserted into the Earth-Moon L2 quasi-halo orbit. Unlike the near Earth case, this orbit is essentially very unstable due to mutually perturbing gravitational attractions by the Earth, the Moon and the Sun. In this paper, an insertion maneuver of a spacecraft into an Earth-Moon L2 quasi-halo orbit was investigated using the global optimization algorithm, including simulated annealing, genetic algorithm and pattern search method with collision avoidance taken into consideration. The result shows that the spacecraft can maintain its own position in the Earth-Moon L2 quasi-halo orbit and avoid collisions with threatening objects.

High levels of cortisol in blood are frequently observed in patients with major depressive disorders and increased cortisol level induces depressivelike symptoms in animal models. However, it is still unclear whether maternal cortisol level during pregnancy is a critical factor resulting in neuropsychiatric disorders in offspring. In this study, we increased cortisol level in rats by repetitively injecting corticosterone subcutaneously (Corti. Mom, 20 mg/kg/day) during pregnancy and evaluated the behavioral patterns of their pups (Corti.Pups) via forced swimming (FS), open field (OF), elevated plus maze (EPM) and Morris water maze (MWM) tests during the immediate post-weaning period (postnatal day 21 to 25). In results, corticosterone significantly increased plasma cortisol levels in both Corti.Moms and Corti.Pups. Unlike depressive animal models, Corti.Pups showed higher hyperactive behaviors in the FS and OF tests than normal pups (Nor.Pups) born from rats (Nor.Moms) treated with saline. Furthermore, Corti.Pups spent more time and traveled longer distance in the open arms of EPM test, exhibiting higher extremity. These patterns were consistent with behavioral symptoms observed in animal models of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which is characterized by hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. Additionally, Corti.Pups swam longer and farther to escape in MWM test, showing cognitive declines associated with attention deficit. Our findings provide evidence that maternal cortisol level during pregnancy may affect the neuroendocrine regulation and the brain development of offspring, resulting in heterogeneous developmental brain disorders such as ADHD.
