        암스테르담 재생 호텔의 맥락적 디자인 특성에 관한 연구

        (연구배경 및 목적) 국제사회의 교류가 활발해지면서 비즈니스와 관광을 위한 호텔산업의 급속한 발전을 가져왔다. 이러한 배경 아래 국내에서도 서울을 중심으로 호텔신축이 빠르게 증가하였지만, 대다수의 대형 브랜드 호텔은 획일화된 디자인과 정형화된 서비스공간으로 되어있어 도심 속의 역사적 장소성을 기대하고 찾은 해외 방문객들을 충분히 만족시키기에는 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 역사·문화자원 보존정책의 철저한 실행을 통해 전통적인 요소의 맥락적 디자인 특성들을 잘 살리면서 현대적인 요소들이 어우러지도록 잘 관리되어있는 도시 암스테르담의 사례를 통해서 지속 가능한 재생디자인의 방향성을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. (연구방법 및 범위) 연구 범위는 암스테르담 정부의 재생프로젝트로 유휴화된 지역의 역사적, 장소적 맥락성을 디자인에 반영하여 재생디자인 하여 복합문화 예술 단지로 주목받고 있는 De Hallen complex 지역과 NDSM Wharf 섬에 있는 호텔들을 선정하고 재생디자인 호텔에서 나타나는 맥락적 특성을 도출하였다, 연구 방법으로는 첫째, 도시재생 및 역사적 관계성과 관련된 문헌과 참고서적을 이론적으로 고찰하고 맥락적 특성의 기준을 제시한다. 둘째, 선행연구를 통한 재생디자인의 맥락적 관점을 중심으로 크게 시각적(형태적) 요소, 비시각적(의미적) 요소로 분리하여 각각의 요소에 특성들을 도출한다. 셋째, 선정된 건축물들이 가지고 있는 디자인 공간을 앞서 도출된 맥락적 요소들의 관점으로 특징을 분석틀과 함께 정리한다. 마지막으로 선정 건축물과 주변 환경들과의 관계를 고려한 장소적 지역적 특성들을 재생디자인 관점에서 재검토하여 유휴공간을 호텔로 재생 디자인할 때 맥락적 특성들을 활용하여 문화적, 예술적 가치를 높이는 방법에 관하여 고찰하고자 한다. (결과) 사례분석에 따른 연구결과를 살펴보면 암스테르담의 새로운 문화지역으로 부상하고 있는 두 지역은 방치되고 있는 유휴공간을 장소가 가진 역사적 맥락성을 잘 활용하여 특성을 가진 새로운 경험을 제공하는 공간으로 재생 디자인함으로써 지역 경제의 회복과 활성화에 성공한 좋은 사례를 보여주고 있다. (결론) 본 연구는 오랜 역사를 가진 도시들에서 증가하고 있는 재생 건축되는 호텔을 위한 디자인 방향을 제안함에 있어 맥락적 관점으로 도출한 디자인 특성들이 반영된 공간구성 예시를 활용하여 향후 노후화된 지역의 호텔산업의 재생디자인 방향과 더불어 복합문화공간과의 연계성을 통한 공간 계획의 기초연구에 도움이 되길 바란다. (Background and Purpose) As the impact of globalization and its active exchanges continue to increase, the hotel industry has developed for both business and leisure tourism. Due to this phenomenon, Seoul has experienced a surge in hotel construction. However, most big-name hotel brands have homogenous designs and standardized services, thereby creating challenges for foreign visitors who wish to experience the cultural history of a city through the design of the hotel space. This study aims to present a direction of sustainable renewable design in Amsterdam, a city that successfully harmonizes modern elements while still making good use of its traditional elements by implementing historical and cultural resource preservation policies. (Method) This study reflects the historical and spatial context of the idle area that was used in the Amsterdam government's regeneration project for the design and selection of the De Hallen complex and NDSM Wharf Island hotels; these spaces are now attracting attention as complex cultural and artistic complexes, and deriving contextual characteristics that appear in regenerative design hotels. For the research, literature and reference books related to urban regeneration and historical relationships are first theoretically reviewed, and the criteria for contextual characteristics are presented. Second, through precedent research that focused on the contextual perspective of regenerative design, characteristics are derived from each element by largely dividing them into visual (physical) and non-visual (meaningful) elements. Third, the design space of the selected buildings is organized along with the analysis frame from the perspective of the contextual elements. Lastly, by considering the relation of the given space and its environmental / regional features, the study re-examines the important contextual characteristics that can increase the cultural and artistic value of spaces through the process of regenerative design. (Results) According to the results of the case analysis, the two regions emerging as new cultural areas in Amsterdam are a good example of a successful recovery and revitalization of the local economy by redesigning neglected idle spaces into spaces that provide new experiences with characteristics by utilizing the historical context of the place. (Conclusions) This study proposes design directions for hotels that are being regenerated and constructed in historical cities. We hope that using examples of design characteristics derived from a contextual point of view will inform basic research on spatial planning through its connection with the complex cultural space.

        Circ_0001666 affects miR-620/WNK2 axis to inhibit breast cancer progression

        Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important roles in the progression of various cancers, including breast cancer (BC). However, the role of circ_0001666 in BC remains unclear. Objective To explore the role of circ_0001666 in the progression of BC and reveal its potential molecular mechanism. Methods Real-time polymerase chain reaction was conducted to determine the expression of circ_0001666, miR-620 and with-no-lysine kinase 2 (WNK2). Cell counting kit 8 assay, fow cytometry and transwell assay were used to measure cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion. Western blot was utilized to examine the level of protein. Dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay were used to verify the interaction between miR-620 and circ_0001666 or WNK2. Mice xenotransplantation models were built to explore the efect of circ_0001666 on BC tumor growth in vivo. Results Circ_0001666 was downregulated in BC tumor tissues and cells. Overexpressed circ_0001666 inhibited the proliferation, migration, invasion, while promoted apoptosis and tumor growth of BC in vitro or in vivo. Furthermore, circ_0001666 could serve as a sponge of miR-620. MiR-620 inhibitor hindered BC cell progression, which was similar to the efect of circ_0001666 overexpression. WNK2 was a target of miR-620, and circ_0001666 could sponge miR-620 to positive regulate WNK2. The knockdown of WNK2 reversed the efect of circ_0001666 overexpression on BC progression. Conclusion Circ_0001666 hindered the progression of BC via miR-620/WNK2 axis.

        박물관의 몰입이론을 적용한 전시연출 환경 요건에 관한 연구 : 관람자 중심의 체험전시 위주로

        인간은 어떠한 현상에 깊이 몰입하여 시공간을 초월하여 나아가 자신에 대한 생각까지도 잊어버리게 되는 심리상태를 경험하는 순간이 찾아오기도 한다. 이러한 경험을 심리학자 칙센트 미하이는 플로우(flow)라고 정의하였고 박물관 등 전시공간에 있어 관람자의 몰입은 보다 효과적인 전시 메시지 전달과 학습의 효과를 높일 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 체험형 전시관의 전시물 전시연출환경요인을 비교·분석하고 관람행태 및 파생되는 12감각을 유추 분석하여 박물관 전시의 몰입에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 체험전시를 경험하는 관람객은 호기심과 흥미를 느끼고 다양한 학습경험을 하였다. 이러한 경험은 관람객과 전시물간의 커뮤니케이션과정을 거친 후 전시물에 대한 과제 집착력과 학습 경험을 하게 되어 관람자는 전시물로 인한 학습의 기쁨을 느끼고 그로 인한 재이용 의도를 유발하게 되었다. 또한 관람객은 다양한 감각적 사고가 생성되는데 특히 운동감각과 촉각이 요구되어지는 체험전시물이야 말로 전시물에 대한 과제 집착력과 학습 플로우가 높아짐을 유추할 수 있었다. 최근 사용자의 몰입과 연계된 smart-phon의 어플리케이션 중 하나인 증강현실(augmented reality) 또는 Quick Response Code 등을 전시 공간에 계획하는 것으로 새롭게 매체를 도입하는 것 역시 몰입에 유용하다. 더불어 점유력과 흡인력을 가지는 코너로서 향후 전시공간을 대형화하여 이를 이용한다면 사회적 맥락 측면에서 공유하여 함께 완성품을 만들어 가는 프로세스로써 콘텐츠 개발이 요구된다. Museum audiences sometimes are being completely involvement in exhibits for their own sake and lose sense of space-time and their ego would fall away. Mihály Csíkszentmihályi calls it flow the positive psychology concept which has been widely referenced across a variety of fields including in education and economics. Therefore the museum exhibition-like audiences require the study and understanding of involvement factors delivering messages more effectively and increasing learning effect. The study therefore will analyze the relationship between flow and exhibit-production environmental-factors when audiences are participating in experience-exhibit of a representative science museum applied the most advanced technology in Korea and will project developmental museum having high sense of flow exhibit-production environment in future museum planning. The characteristics of production media as flow exhibit-production environmental-factors are as followings: Firstly experiencing scientific circumstances that we normally can't in daily life in an exhibit would harness the state of flow effectively. Secondly motional interactive experience-exhibit requiring sense of motion and touch would help audiences understand learning contents. Thirdly exhibit-production environmental-factors using parts of a body especially give excitements interests and pleasure and the audiences would be immersed in a feeling of full involvement. As many people use smart-phone recently providing mobile application for augmented realty or applying Quick Response Code in a museum would help in choosing new types of media.

        Changes in Korean Consumers’ Perception on Food Preservatives by a Risk Communication Booklet

        본 연구는 학부모를 대상으로 식품첨가물 및 보존료에 대한 인식 수준과 정보요구도를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 학부모의 식품첨가물 및 보존료에 대한 올바른 이해와 안전한 식생활을 위한 교육자료를 개발하고자 하였다. 2014년 서울 경기지역 초등학생을 둔 학부모 381명을 대상으로 식품첨가물 및 보존료에 대한 인식 및 정보요구도에 대한 설문조사를 수행한 결과 응답자 중 가공식품 구입시 안전성을 가장 중요한 요소라고 응답하였으며, 41.5%가 식품 첨가물을 가장 식품안전을 위협하는 것이라고 응답하였으며, 식품 첨가물 중에서는 보존료가 가장 위험하다고 응답하였다. 그러나 응답자의 90.6%가 식품첨가물 및 보존료에 대한 교육 경험이 없다고 응답하였다. 설문결과와 학부모들의 정보요구도에 따라 교육홍보책자인 ‘보존료 바르게 알기’를 개발하였다. ‘보존료 바르게 알기’는 ‘보존료란 어떤 물질인가요?’, ‘보존료는 어떤 종류가 있나요?’, ‘보존료는 안전한가요?’, ‘가공식품, 어떻게 섭취해야 하나요?’, ‘식품첨가물은 식약처가 철저히 관리하고 있어요’ 등의 5장으로 구성하여 소비자인 학부모들이 알고싶어하는 내용들을 알기 쉽고 재미있게 전달할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 개발된 교육홍보책자를 초등학교 학부모에게 시범 적용한 결과, 사전 18.9%만이 보존료가 무엇인지 알고 있다고 응답한 수준에서 사후 90.9%가 그 역할을 이해하고 72.7%가 안전하다고 응답하여 개발된 책자가 보존료에 대한 이해도를 크게 높이고 보존료에 대한 오해를 바로잡을 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 교육홍보책자는 학부모를 비롯한 일반소비자들에게 보존료에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 효과적인 정보전달매체로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. Food preservatives are very important food additives for the biological and chemical safety of processed foods. The purposes of this study were to investigate Korean consumer’s perception and information needs on food preservatives, to develop an educational booklet as a risk communication material on food preservatives, and to assess the educational effect of the developed booklet. To understand perception on food preservatives, a self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted by 381 parents having elementary school students at Seoul and Geoynggi area in Korea. Based on the survey results, brain storming of the authors along with consultation from the professionals, we developed a risk communication booklet about food preservatives. It was exposed to 35 parents of elementary school children, and their evaluation was collected by using a questionnaire and analyzed statistically. Respondents considered food safety (44.8%) as the most important factor while purchasing processed foods. They still perceived food additives as the most hazardous one (41.5%), and among those, food preservatives were the most concerned (45.9%). Total 67.7% of the respondents considered the consumption of food preservatives as hazardous or very hazardous. However, 90.6% of respondents did not have any educational experience about food additives and food preservatives. Based on their information needs, a science-based booklet consisting of the definition, classification, safety, intake, and management of food preservatives was developed. When the booklet titled as ‘Food preservatives, Just Know Them!’ was exposed to the parents via elementary school teacher, their negative perceptions on food additives and food preservatives were changed positively by increasing the understanding level on preservatives from 18.9% to 90.9% and obtaining 72.7% positive answers on their safety. Therefore, it could be used as an effective risk communication material on food preservatives.

        The Effects of Generative Concept Map on Science Learning Achievement and Cognitive Load

        This study investigated the effect of generative concept maps according to learning achievements and cognitive load. A total of 78 students in the first grade of middle school participated in this study. Before the experimental treatment was implemented, students had to fill out a questionnaire assessing prior knowledge. The study was designed where all the students were presented the same learning contents regarding photosynthesis; however, the two experimental groups were provided with different concept map methods: a learner-generative concept map (GCM) and an instructor-provided concept map (PCM). GCM students were asked to make a concept map by themselves in small groups while they are reading material. PCM students were instructed to study in small groups in order to read the material; however, they were provided a concept map developed by their teacher. The control group (CG) had the teacher present the learning contents in traditional lecture format with no accompanying concept map. The results show that there were significant differences in the achievements among the groups. CG showed higher achievement than both the experimental groups. There was also a significant difference in cognitive load. Although the GCM group did not obtain higher achievement than the other groups, the GCM group showed higher mental effort and lower physical fatigue than the other groups. The GCM group might have invested more effort to find and connect ideas when drawing their concept map with peers which is unlike the conditions for the PCM group and CG. In conclusion, we should consider applying GCM in teaching and learning design in order to increase learning achievement and decrease extraneous cognitive load.

        Comparison of the Permeability of Stilbene Analogues in Caco-2 Cells

        Permeability of resveratrol, piceid, rhapontigenin, and rhaponticin in Caco-2 cell assays using high-performance liquid chromatography were compared. Caco-2 cell monolayers were used to evaluate the transport rates of stilbene analogues from the apical to the basolateral sides. All stilbenes experimented in this study were transported to the basolateral side by times. For comparing the permeability of 4 stilbenes, we calculated the slope of the cumulative concentration of each stilbene in basolateral sides over time, resulting in those values of resveratrol, piceid, rhapontigenin, and rhaponticin with 3.766×10<sup>?5</sup>, 4.330×10<sup>?6</sup>, 5.430×10<sup>?5</sup>, and 2.458×10<sup>?5</sup> μM/sec, respectively. Apparent permeability coefficient of resveratrol and rhapontigenin were calculated to 9.994×10<sup>?6</sup> and 1.441×10<sup>?6</sup> cm/sec, respectively, while those of piceid and rhaponticin were to 1.149×10<sup>?7</sup> and 6.523×10<sup>?7</sup> cm/sec, respectively. These results suggest that aglycones would be absorbed more effectively than glycosides in stilbenoids.
