ABSTRACT : The recent, a large capacity of communication is required in order to it is in proportion to capacity of information communication increase and to satisfy a demand because of the demand about Internet, a multimedia service of Video of internet protocol (VoIP), Audio/Video streaming. DWDM technique has been emerged as the method of solving it without additional optical fiber network building and high-speedequipment. Therefore this thesis proposed the optical filter of fiber/multilayer slab coupled structure combining it to multilayer slab waveguide by polishing the cladding of one side of fiber to design the optical filter having these functions.

This paper is to estimate sizing design sensitivity of linear and nonlinear vehicle frame structure using structural analysis result from ANSYS. Using design sensitivity results, optimal design of plane vehicle frame structure with buckling constraint is carried out the gradient projection method. Optimal design results are compares gradient projection method result with SUMT result.

Currently domestic criteria for the aircraft noise is being adapted WECPNL(weighted equivalent continuous perceived noise level), while internationally preferred method is L_(dn) which is originated from L_(eq) and can evaluate even environmental noise. WECPNL used in domestic as a evaluation method is only for the aircraft noise. It is, therefore, not adequate for the evaluation of residents' injury, moreover, it is very difficult to measure the aircraft noise with WECPNL due to the complicated calculating procedures as long as automatic measuring system is not used This study aims to propose alternative evaluation method for the aircraft noise. To achieve this purpose, the data measured by automatic measuring system in 5 places among domestic airports from 1998 to 2002 were gathered and calculated with three evaluation method ; WECPNL, L_(eq) and L_(dn) and the results calculated from different methods were compared and analyzed. At the same time, it was investigated problems generated from the actual operating of the automatic measuring system and that remedy was presented.

This paper is studied the high-repetition rate optical-pulse stream generation using optical fiber directional coupler. With the recent development of the ultrahigh-speed optical time division multiplexed system, high-repetition rate optical-pulse stream generation is necessary. This is different from conventional approaches, which use fiber or integrated waveguide delay line circuits. The high-repetition-rate optical-pulse multiplication phenomenon occurs when the optical pulse's spectral width is greater than the transfer bandwidth of the coupler used. From the analysis, the output repetition rate can be controlled by using fiber couplers with different equivalent transfer bandwidths. The pulse separation spacing is controlled by number of cascaded coupler in optical loop mirror coupler scheme.

Acute pyelonephritis is one of the most common causes of unexplained fever in children. It may lead to the development of progressive renal damage. However, the detection of acute pyelonephritis can be difficult, especially in infants. The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of various lab tests and imaging studies for acute renal parenchymal changes in children with APN. We correlated the clinical and laboratory manifestations of acute pyelonephritis with the Imaging studies. With development of medical appliances, these methods which are an ultrasonograph, Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Image and Angiography are frequently used the test of the urinary organs, but Intravenous Pyelography(IVP) is the examine method which is basic and important. Although IVP is used frequently, IVP's schedule to examine the urinary organ test is not being. In this paper, make a trial of the examination method which take a photograph with three method in the different time, each image quality was compared and examined the best effect expose time.

Rectangular dielectric waveguide, the most fundamental and indispensible elements in integrated optics, have been investigated by many researchers with various approaching methods including from the relatively approximate techniques to the numerical method. The technique also provides analytical expression for the modal field profile that should be useful in the design of various integrated optical devices. Also an efficient power transmission from a single mode fiber to a thin-film waveguide devices is one of the most fundamental and inevitable subject that should be first solved toward the realization of the integrated optic system. In this thesis, in order to get rid of field profiles mismatching and achieve a high power coupling efficiency, single mode fiber-thin film waveguide coupling structure is considered. The large mismatch of field profiles at the single mode fiber-thin film waveguide interface is well avoided by using to the coupling guide which is intentionally developed on the top of the thin-film guide.

Three-dimensional(3D) magnetic resonance(MR) imaging was evaluated as a noninvasive alternative to direct cholangiography for the assessment of its reliability in patients with obstructive jaundice. A heavily T2-weighted gradient-echo sequence(PSIF) was used for 3D projection inaging of the biliary system in five healthy ovlunteers and 25 patients with obstructive jaundice. The 3D images of the bile ducts were formed by stacking consecutive coronal MR images obtained with a fast imaging method to a maximum-intensity projection algorithm.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors affecting the mental health status of children from multicultural families in South Korea. Met hods: This study was based on Dahlgren and Whitehead's (1991) rainbow model as a conceptual framework and used data from the second phase of the multicultural adolescents panel study conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed using SPSS version 26.0, with p<.05 considered to indicate statistical significance. Results: In the final model, stress (odds ratio [OR]=0.53, p<.001), life satisfaction(OR=2.09, p=.004), self-esteem (OR=1.73, p=.032), and peer support (OR=1.46, p=.019) affected the mental health status of children from multicultural families. The living and working conditions and general socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental conditions did not significantly influence the mental health status of children from multicultural families in the final model. Conclusion: As components of Dahlgren and Whitehead's model, individual hereditary and lifestyle factors, as well as social and community networks, affected the mental health status of children from multicultural families. Therefore, in order to improve the mental health of children from multicultural families, efforts are needed to alleviate their stress, increase life satisfaction and self-esteem, and strengthen their social support.
