본 연구는 한국에서의 사이버 교육의 현황과 전망에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 사이버 교육의 각 개념과 용어에 대해 살펴보았으며, 가상 교육을 위한 원격 교육의 기반 기술 및 구성과 운영 방안에 대해 S/W 와 H/W적인 측면을 고찰하였고, 외국의 가상 교육의 사례와 한국의 가상 교육의 사례를 비교 고찰하였다. 또한 이에 대한 고찰을 기반으로 한국 상황에서 알맞은 가상 교육의 새로운 패러다임에 따른 수업의 구성과 운영 방안에 대하여 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the situation and sound direction of Cyber Education in Korea. For this purpose, the concepts and terminologies of Cyber Education were summarized and major technologies and issues of Cyber Education as distance education in the area of hardwares as well as softwares were investigated. The comparison between foreign situation and Korean situation of Cyber Education in detail was made. Finally, the study suggested what would be the sound direction, sample curriculum, and management issues for the new paradigm in Korean Cyber Education.

After establishing improved HPLC analytical method ofcefaclor in human plasma samples, a bioavailability study of cefaclor capsules was conducted according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The standard calibration curve using an HPLC with UV detector was constructed in a range of 0.0324--16 μg/m1. The 6% perchloric acid instead of 6% trichloroacetic acid was used to precipitate plasma protein. The HPLC chromatograms were precisely and accurately resolved when spiked with human plasma spiked with cefaclor and cephalexin (internal standard). Twenty healthy male Korean volunteers received two commercial cefaclor capsules, Neocef ' capsule (Jinyang Pharm. Co., Ltd) or Ceclor" capsule {Lilly Korea. Co., Ltd.) at the 250 mg cefaclor in a 2 x 2 crossover study. There was a one-week washout period between the doses. Plasma concentrations of cefaclor were monitored for 8 hours after oral drug administration. AUC, the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 8 hr (13 points), was calculated by the linear trapezoidal rule method. C,,,a" (maximum plasma drug concentration) and Tmax (time to reach Cma,) were compiled from the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was carried out using logarithmically transformed AUC, and Cmax. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters indicating that the cross-over design was properly performed. The 90% confidence intervals of the AUC, ratio and the Cmax ratio for Neocer/Ceclor" were 0.9049 S S < 1.0304 and 0.9776 5 S 1.226, respectively. These values were within the acceptable bioequivalence intervals of 0.80-1.25. Thus, our study demonstrated the bioequivalence of Neocef"/Ceclor" with respect to the extent of absorption.

A study of 118 autopsy cases associated with medical care in 1990 was present according to the medical department, the mode of treatment and the cause of death. The Pediatrics showed the highest rate (25.4%), followed by the Obstetrics & Gynecology (22.9%), and Internal medicine (20.2%). According to the mode of treatment, medical accidents during operation and anesthesia were 29 cases (24.6%) with highest rate in Obstetrics & Gynecology (13 cases), 38 cases (32.2%) were during medication and/or injection with highest rate in Internal Medicine (18 cases), and 51 cases (43.2%) were during general medical practice with highest rate in pediatrics (19 cases). The most prevalent cause of death was the disease of respiratory system (34.9%, 30 cases) and the diseases of cardiovascular and urogenital system accounted for 31.4% and 11.6% respectively. The main cause of death in Internal medicine was the disease of cardiovascular system (11/24 cases), the respiratory system in pediatrics (15/30 cases) and the disease of urogenital system in Obstetrics & Gynecology (9/27 cases. ) Asphyxial deaths were 7 cases and the death due to adverse drug reaction accounted for 10 cases.
Development of AI Education Program on Natural Language Processing

The purpose of this study is to design and develop an education program about natural language processing (NLP) in the school curriculum, understand, experience, and utilize the concept of natural language processing, and considers related ethical issues. Though NLP is a major learning component of artificial intelligence (AI) education, few educational programs have been researched about NLP education. Accordingly, the development direction of the NLP education program was set by analyzing the relevant literature, curriculum, and textbook contents, and the results of expert validity analysis were reviewed. According to the reviewed development direction, the 22nd session of education programs and materials was developed. As a result of expert validity analysis, the educational program’s content validity was assessed. The program was then augmented and updated by the open response. It is expected that the developed curriculum-based NLP education program will be used as data for realizing AI education in the school field.

<P><B>Aim</B></P><P>To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ipragliflozin vs placebo as add‐on therapy to metformin and sitagliptin in Korean patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>This double‐blind, placebo‐controlled, multi‐centre, phase III study was conducted in Korea in 2015 to 2017. Patients were randomized to receive either ipragliflozin 50 mg/day or placebo once daily for 24 weeks in addition to metformin and sitagliptin. The primary endpoint was the change in glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) from baseline to end of treatment (EOT).</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>In total, 143 patients were randomized and 139 were included in efficacy analyses (ipragliflozin: 73, placebo: 66). Baseline mean (SD) HbA1c levels were 7.90 (0.69)% for ipragliflozin add‐on and 7.92 (0.79)% for placebo. The corresponding mean (SD) changes from baseline to EOT were −0.79 (0.59)% and 0.03 (0.84)%, respectively, in favour of ipragliflozin (adjusted mean difference −0.83% [95% CI −1.07 to −0.59]; <I>P</I> < .0001). More ipragliflozin‐treated patients than placebo‐treated patients achieved HbA1c target levels of <7.0% (44.4% vs 12.1%) and < 6.5% (12.5% vs 1.5%) at EOT (<I>P</I> < .05 for both). Fasting plasma glucose, fasting serum insulin, body weight and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance decreased significantly at EOT, in favour of ipragliflozin (adjusted mean difference −1.64 mmol/L, −1.50 μU/mL, −1.72 kg, and −0.99, respectively; <I>P</I> < .05 for all). Adverse event rates were similar between groups (ipragliflozin: 51.4%; placebo: 50.0%). No previously unreported safety concerns were noted.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Ipragliflozin as add‐on to metformin and sitagliptin significantly improved glycaemic variables and demonstrated a good safety profile in Korean patients with inadequately controlled T2DM.</P>

Aims: We investigated the diagnostic performance of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), AFP-L3, protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist-II (PIVKA-II) and their combination in diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: Patients who were referred from primary clinic to Korea University Medical Center for newly detected liver mass or elevated serum AFP level were considered to be eligible. Serum AFP, AFP-L3, and PIVKA-II levels were measured at the time of first visit. Results: In total, 622 patients were included for analysis. In these patients, 355 patients (57.1%) had chronic liver disease and 208 patients (33.4%) had liver cirrhosis. HCC was diagnosed in 160 patients (25.7%). Area under the receiver operating characteristics (AUROCs) of serum AFP level, AFP-L3 fraction, AFP-L3 level and PIVKA-II level for the diagnosis of HCC were 0.775, 0.792, 0.814, and 0.834, respectively. To develop a novel diagnostic model, all included patients were classified into two groups with a 1:1 ratio under the stratification by presence or absence of HCC, training and validation sets. Using the results of binary regression analysis in training cohort using AFP-L3 and PIVKA-II levels, we calculated ALPs (AFP, AFP-L3 fraction, and PIVKA-II) score with the formula as follows: ALPs score = 3.8 × [serum AFP level (ng/mL) × AFP-L3 fraction (%) × 0.01] + 0.2 × PIVKA-II level (mAU/mL). The AUROC of ALPs score for the diagnosis of HCC was 0.878, which was significantly higher than those of serum AFP level (P<0.001), AFP-L3 fraction (P<0.001), PIVKA-II level (P=0.036), and AFP-L3 level (P=0.006) (Fig. 1). The optimal cutoff value of ALPs score was 5.3 (sensitivity, 85.0%, specificity 80.1%, PPV 59.6%, and NPV 93.9%). Similar results were also shown in validation cohort. Conclusions: ALPs score calculated using serum AFP level, AFP-L3 fraction, and serum PIVKA-II level showed improved accuracy in diagnosis of HCC.

The deformation behavior of woven composites at high strain rates was analyzed using a constitutive equation developed to describe the nonlinear, anisotropic/asymmetric and rate-dependent mechanical behavior of woven composites. The rate-dependent nonlinear behavior of woven composites was characterized at high strain rates (1 s-1 to 100 s-1) using a tensile testing method first proposed in this research. The material properties for the developed constitutive equation were determined and subsequently used in a finite element analysis of the deformation behavior of woven composites at high strain rates. Finally, the impact behavior of woven composites was predicted using the constitutive equation and the results were compared with experiments, showing that the current constitutive equation including the characterization method is adequate to describe the deformation behavior of woven composites at high strain rates up to impact level.
