Research into first episode psychosis (FEP) is a growing field in psychiatry. In this paper, the authors provide an overview of neurocognitive findings and therapeutic approaches indicated for patients with FEP. Focus will be placed on evidence from neuropsychological assessment and brain imaging of electrophysiological activities, as well as the ability of some psychotropic drugs, such as second generation antipsychotics, to improve functional outcome. Efforts to identify biological signals characteristic of FEP are expected to facilitate early intervention into schizophrenia and related disorders.

Studies on the optimal location of retail store have been made in case of no obstacle(Minagawa etal. 1999). This paper deals with the location problem of retail store considering obstacles (e.g. rivers, railways, highways, etc.) and obstacle-overcoming points (e.g. bridges, railway crossings, zebra crossings, overpasses, etc.). We assume that (1) commercial goods dealt here are typically convenience goods, (2) the population is granted as potential demand, (3) the apparent demand is a function of the maximum migration length and the distance from the store to customers, (4) the scale of a store is same in every place and (5) there is no competitor. First, we construct the basic model of customers' behavior considering obstacles and obstacle-overcoming points. Analyzing the two dimensional model, the arbitrary force attracting customers is represented as a height of a cone where the retail store is located on the center. Second, we formulate the total demand of customers and determine the optimal location that maximizes the total demand. Finally, the properties of the optimal location are investigated by simulation.

The utility interactive sinewave modulated inverter for the solar photovoltaic (PV) power conversion and conditioning with a new high frequency pulse modulated link is presented for domestic residential applications. As compared with the conventional full-bridge hard switching PWM inverter with a high frequency AC link, the simplest single-ended quasi-resonant soft switching sinewave modulated inverter with a duty cycle pulse control is implemented, resulting in size and weight reduction and low-cost. This paper presents a prototype circuit of the single-ended zero voltage soft switching sinewave inverter for solar power conditioner and its operating principle. In addition, this paper proposes a control system to deliver high quality output current. Major design of each component and the power loss analysis under actual power processing is also discussed from an experimental point of view. A newly developed interactive sinewave power processor which has 92.5% efficiency at 4kW output is demonstrated. It is designed 540mm-300mm-125mm in size, and 20kg in weight
Index Terms- A quasi-resonant inverter, Zero voltage soft switching, Photovoltaic power conversion system, Utility interactive power generator, High frequency transformer link.
Background/Aims: The adenoma detection rate (ADR) of screening colonoscopies performed by trainees is often lower than thatof colonoscopies performed by experts. The effcacy of cap-assisted colonoscopy (CAC) in adenoma detection is well documented, especially that of CACs performed by trainees. Endocuff, a new endoscopic cap, is reportedly useful for adenoma detection; however,no trials have compared the effcacy of Endocuff-assisted colonoscopy (EAC) and CAC conducted by trainees. Therefore, the presentstudy retrospectively compared the effcacy between EAC and CAC in trainees. Methods: This was a single-center, retrospective study involving 305 patients who underwent either EAC or CAC performed by threetrainees between January and December 2018. We evaluated the ADR, mean number of adenomas detected per patient (MAP), cecalintubation rate, cecal intubation time, and occurrence of complications between the EAC and CAC groups. Results: The ADR was significantly higher in the EAC group than in the CAC group (54.3% vs. 37.3%, p=0.019), as was the MAP (1.36vs. 0.74, p=0.003). No significant differences were found between the groups with respect to the cecal intubation rate or cecal intubationtime. No major complications occurred in either group. Conclusions: Our results suggest that EAC exhibits increased ADR and MAP compared to CAC when performed by trainees.

Patients with dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy occasionally elicit psychosis. So far, one study reported first generation antipsychotics drugs may provide an effective treatment; however, there is no literature on the benefits of second generation antipsychotics. We report on a 44-year-old man with dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy whose psychotic symptoms were effectively treated with olanzapine. Our observation suggests some second generation antipsychotics provide a therapeutic option for ameliorating psychosis in dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy.
Optimal control of PMSMs using model predictive control with integrator

Permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSM) have been receiving much attention due to their high effi-ciency. Usually, an inverter is used to drive the PMSM. In conventional current control systems, the inverter is regarded as an ideal amplifier. However, there exist various constraints such as voltage saturation in current transient response and output nonlinearity in over modulation. Inaddition, an output of the inverter is limited to discrete values in aprecise sense. Thus, the system has an a ture of a hybrid dynamical system. In this paper, we propose a novel model predictive control(MPC) based current control system to improve performance in cases where the inverter can not provide the appropriate output. In MPC, a steady state error often occurs due to the modeling error. In order to over come the problem, we extend the model in which the accumulation of the steady state error is included. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown through simulations and experiments.
