Prediction of thrapeutic response to radioiodine in Graves' disease is poorly understood. Although thyrotropin binding inhibitor immunoglobulin(TBII) level is a strong index for relapse after antithyroid drug medication, conflicting results are reported regarding its prognostic significance in Graves' disease treated with RAI. This study is dengned to evaluate possible relationship between post-treatment hypothyroidism and TBII in Graves' disease treated with RAI. Fourty two patient with Graves' disease after radioiodine treatment were studied retrospectively. The subject were divided into hypothyroid group and euthyroid or hyperthyroid group. We evaluated the association of hypothyroidism and TBII with radioiodine treatment dose. The mean age of hypothyroid group was 48±11 years and euthyroid or hyperthyroid group was 47±12 years. There was no difference in two groups. And there was no significant difference in post- treatment TBII between two groups(49.9±28.5%, 29.9±14.3%, p-value >0.05). The treatment-dose had no influence on post-treatment thyroid state. Euthyroid or hyperthyroid group was done with 13.6±6.9mCi and hypothyroid group was 17.0±10.4mCi(p-value > 0.05). TBII had no prognostic significance on long-term hypothyrodism in Graves' disease treated with radioiodine. And, treatment-dose had no influence on post-treatment thyroid state.
대장균 세포내 칼모듈린 돌연변이체 고발현을 위한 클로닝 및 Chemiluminescence 검출법에 의한 발현분석

To obtain a large amount of VU-4 calmodulin (115, Lys to Ile). VU-4 calmodulin gene with Ptac promoter (680 bp) was cloned into a plasmid, pUC18. Newly cloned pUC18/VU-4 was transferred into E. coli UT481. The plasmid isolated from cell extracts of the transformed E. coli was analyzed by restriction mapping and yielded the expected restriction endonuclease map with BamHI and EcoRI. Calmodulin was detected by Western blot analysis using chemiluminescence protocol and the estimated expression level was 60 pmole calmodulin/mg protein. Calmodulin was purified from the E. coli cell extracts by Ca^(2+)-dependent chromatography on a phenyl-Sepharose column. The purified calmodulin was identified as a mutant VU-4 calmodulin by SDS-PAGE and methyltransferase substrate test.

An anechoic chamber was constructed to make to condition of acoustic free field at the Department of Physics, Sung Kyun Kwan University. In this paper the criteria for the design and construction of the anechoic chamber are described. 48cm long wedges of density 15.3kg/㎥ glasswool attached to the 40×20×20㎤ base were used for the lining of anechoic chamber with the cutoff frequency of 125Hz. The interior space of the chamber is 3.56m long, 3.38m wide and 2.37m high.

According to the fast-paced environment of information technologies and improving customer services, one of the fundamental design issues that arise in the refrigerated warehouse facility design is to optimize the system with minimum cost, maximum throughput, and service level. This study is concerned with the integrated model development of the refrigerated facility system performance evaluation using simulation method with customer responsive service level for DCM(Demand Chain Management). In this study we propose a method to decide the optimal number of input/output docks and the number of transporters. We develope a computer program to for the users and show outputs of example problem of K-Refrigerated Company in Busan. The computational results show that the proposed method is very effective on a set of test problems.

This study is focussed on a comparative study on storage facility layout for fish culture and its distribution centers using set-covering problem in a two-echelon distribute system. The objective of this study is to determine the minimum number of locations of supply centers among a discrete set of location sites so that the probability of each retailers to be covered is not less than a critical value to provide the demander requirement service level. A logistic cost function including both ameliorating and deteriorating rate is developed for comparison purpose. We have formulated a probabilistic set-covering problem which can be solved by 0-1 programming methods. The results of a set of sample runs well show the impact of both ameliorating and deteriorating rates of fish culture items on the number of locations required. We have compared the number of locations required of the three cases such as; ameliorating, deteriorating and non-changing cases. Also we have developed a computer program to compute the solution of these problems. For the further study, a user-interface with visualization for input and output of the model is needed.

To investigate the volatile flavor components of perilla leaves, analyses of kinds of cultivar by GC, GC/MS, UV, IR and NMR were carried out. The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. The essential oils were extracted with diethyl ether after steam disillation. 2. The identified volatiles include 10 hydrocarbones, 6 alcohols, 3 aldehydes, 2 ketones and 1 miscellaneous components. 3. The major volatile component perilla ketone was identified by UV, IR and NMR spectrum. 4. The perilla ketone were identified in Suwon 8, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26 and purpurea while perillaldehyde was identified in purpurea only.

This paper focuses on a performance analysis model for optimizing the freight terminal design and layout using AutoMod simulator and numerical analysis. We developed a model to analyze the freiht terminal performance per unit time and the material handling cost based on both throughput and waiting due to conjestion. We developed computer program for this model and some sample results by both numerical method and AutoMod simulator are compared.

제조설비의 운영은 적절한 생산제품의 품질(신뢰도 생산단가 등)을 유지하는 조건으로 유지되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 제조설비의 적정운영조건을 구하기 위하여 제조설비의 RAM 및 순기비용 (LCC)이 제조설비의 성능에의 영향을 분석하고 최적대안을 구하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 설비의 RAM 및 LCC 산정모델을 개발하고 이를 이용하여 제조설비의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 수리모델을 제시하였다. 이를 위한 전산프로그램을 개발하고 이를 이용하여 제조시스템의 성능 분석 사례를 들어 보였다. 또한 다양한 환경에서 제조시스템의 성능을 예측하기 위하여 시스템의 복잡성이 큼 문제를 분석하는데 적절한 GMDH방법을 사용하여 추정하였다. 이를 이용한 성능예측의 실 예를 들어 본 연구의 과정을 보였다.

R&D project management is a process of decicions concerned with the achievement of goals of objectives. Especially, defense R&D project planning is the key in the successfull management of defense development. The defense project managers are constantly having to perform "what if ?" exercise, such as what if the project is extended out for an additional months? What would be the additional cost? In this research, we developed a schedule-cost analysis model based upon Critical Path Method(CPM) and Venture Evaluation and Review Technique(VERT) for schedule-cost trade off analysis defense R&D projects. In the first step, a deterministic model is developed as a heuristic which determines the schedule extension and reduction cost as a function desired schedule. In the second step, a stochastic network simulation model is developed to analyse the project risk(sucess and failure). The expected time and cost can be determined for desired schedule under the assumptions of stochastic are data(time and cost) with a various precedence relationships. This model provides the defense R&D managers with an estimated and expected cost for curtailing or extending a project a given amount of time. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed methods, a heuristic and stochastic networks simulations, have bees demonstrated through examples.
금속 절삭가공 공정의 최적 절삭 조건 및 가공주기 결정 방안 연구

This paper focuses on a automatic selection of optimal cutting conditions and cycle time for multi-spindle metal cutting machines based on machining parameters and tool change schemes which are the two most common terms used in the metal cutting. In this research we used in the metal cutting. In this research we used two step generative approach, step 1 is mathematical modeling for the selection of optimal cutting conditions and the other is GMDH-Type modeling to estimate the system performance evaluation. we developed computer programs for these models and the fitting manufacturing examples are applied to this model and it was shown that the proposed approach has a good potential and offers a valuable tools to analyse the metal cutting system.
