이논문은예이츠의시에비추어올브라이트가최근에발표한새롭게(포스 트)모던하게창작한 시의시학에 초점을 맞추어우리의 당대의시인 대니얼 올브라이트의 시를읽으려는시도이다. 올브라이트는자신이예이츠의영향에있다고생각하지는못했을 지 모른다. 그러나 그는, 예이츠가 젊은 시절 블레이크의 시를 편집했던 것처럼 예이츠의 모든시를편집한바있다. 예이츠학자로서저자는올브라이트의시에서예이츠의반향을 들을수있다. 이논문은예이츠의시를새롭게조명할수있을것이며앞으로포스트모던한 시들이 올브라이트 시가 보여주는 방법을 취할 수도 있을 것이다. My paper makes an attempt to read Yeats’s poetry in the light of new poetry our contemporary poet, Daniel Albright, has written by focusing on the Yeatsian poetics renewed and (Post-)Modernized in Albright’s recent poetry in comparison with Yeats’s. Albright may never have thought he was under the influence of Yeats, but he has edited all of Yeats’s poetry, just as Yeats has edited Blake’s poetry when young. As Yeats scholar, I hear the Yeatsian echoes in Albright’s poetry. This reading is to help throw new light on Yeats’s poetry and give some direction Post-Modern poetry may take as exemplified in Albright’s poetry.

좋은 글을 쓰는 일은 쉽지 않다. 더욱이, 다른 사람들에게 훌륭한 글을 쓰도록 가르치는 일은 더욱 힘들다. 지금까지 작문하면, 학생들에게 글을 쓰게하고 완성된 글을 문법적으로나 주재상으로 범한 오류를 지적하고 수정하는 것으로 만족했었다. 그러나 Richard E. Young등의 학자들은 학생들에게 보다 적극적인 방법으로서 글의 창안(invention)에서 부터, 독자와 필자 사이의 관계 정립을 거쳐, 문장, 수정, 문체, 등에 이르기까지 작문의 전과정을 해부함으로써 글쓰는 일이 기계적인 것이 아니라, 어떤 창조적 과정을 거치는 작업임을 강조한다. 따라서 이들이 가장 중요시하는 부분이 창안(invention), 즉 글쓰기 직전의 모든 영역이며, 이를 분석 정리하여 법칙(maxim)으로 제시하고 있다. 본고에서는 이 법칙을 통해서, Yeats의 시를 분석함으로써 좋은 글이란 스스로 생성하는 것이 아니라, 작자의 창조적 사고 과정을 거친다는 점을 두드러지게 보여주고 있다.

심한 골병변으로 발현된 기능성 낭종성 부갑상선 선종

낭종성 부갑상선 선종과 심한 골병변을 동반한 부갑상선 기능항진증은 매우 드문 질환으로서, 저자들은 양측 고관절의 통증을 초기 주소로 내원한 환자에서 고칼슘혈증과 부갑상선 호르몬 증가, 골병변의 방사선적 소견을 통해 부갑상선 기능항진증을 진단하고, 경부 초음파와 컴퓨터 단층 촬영, 부갑상선 스캔검사 및 수술중 부갑상선 낭종액 검사 등을 통해 기능성 부갑상선 낭종의 한 종류인 낭종성 부갑상선 선종을 진단하고 수술적 제거를 통하여 정상화된 1예를 경험하였다. A cystic parathyroid adenoma is rare. A case of primary hyperparathyroidism, with the cystic formation of a parathyroid adenoma and a severe bony lesion, is reported. A 52-year-old male was admitted due to pain in both hips and for evaluation of hypercalcemia. The plasma level of the intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) was elevated to 1424 pg/mL. Ultrasonography and the computed tomography revealed a parathyroid cyst on the left thyroid lower pole. Parathyroid scintigraphy detected a parathyroid adenoma. A radiograph showed a subperiosteal bone resorption on the phalanges, and a brown tumor (osteitis fibrosa cystica) on the femur shaft was noted. A surgical excision of the parathyroid adenoma was performed. The PTH level in the cystic fluid was increased. A histological examination confirmed a cystic parathyroid adenoma. The PTH level was normalized after the operation (J Kor SOC Endocrinol 18:214-220, 2003).

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1994)

Background : In recent years gonorrhoea has been panendemic and remains one of the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Method : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria Gonorrhoeae(PPNG), Ive have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1994, 168 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 109 (64,9% ) were PPNG. Conclustion : Our results suggests that the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is still increasing.

The prevalence of PPNG among pretreated gonorrhea cases isolated at the STD clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul has been studied and reported annually since 1981. In 1991, 123 strains of N.gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 58(47.1%) were PPNG. In 1992, 98 starains of N.gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 51(52.0%) were PPNG. In all, 109(49.3%) strains were found to be PPNG among 221 strains isolated between 1991-1992. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul showed increased tendency till 1989, thereafter, it has been stationary or slightly decreasing.

씨름선수에서 체중 감량과 회복기의 Leptin과 PAI-1 변화

Obesity which is defined as accumulation of excess body fat, is central factor of insulin resistance syndrome. Recently, it is revealed tat adipose tissue is not simply an energy storage organ but it also secretes a variety of molecules which affect the metabolism of the whole body, those are leptin and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1). Therefore, leptin and PAI-1 are increased in the obese state. Leptin regulates energy homeostasis and satiety and PAI-1 regulates fibrinolytic system. For these reasons, elevated levels of leptin and PAI-1 are considered as link factors between obesity and insulin resistance syndrome. However, the exact regulating mechanism for serum levels of leptin and PAI-1 is not fully understood yet. In this study, to evaluate the regulating mechanisms of serum levels of leptin and PAI-1 according to the weight changes, we measured leptin, PAI-1, physical, metabolic, and endocrine parameters during 10 days of weight reduction and 10 days of regain period in 7 young athletes. The mean body weight change was -4.7 kg(5.0%) in the weight reduction period and -2.4 kg(2.5%) in the weight regain period compared to baseline value. Baseline level of leptin in athletes was 1.7±0.66 ng/ml, which was significantly correlated with body weight, BMI, percent body fat, body fat mass, triglyceride, insulin, and PAI-1. Baseline level of PAI-1 in athletes was 16.6±5.26 ng/ml, which was significantly correlated with body weight, BMI, triglyceride, insulin, and leptin. Leptin was decreased to 0.7±0.39(44% of the basaline value) in the weight reduction period, and increased to 1.9±0.64(119% of the baseline value) in the regain period. PAI-1 was decreased to 7.4±2.72(44% of the basaline value) in the weight reduction period, and increased to 22.8±7.33(138% of the baseline value) in the regain period. The changes of leptin during weight reduction period were significantly correlated with the changes of insulin(r=0.890, P<0.01) and triglycerides(r=0.874, P<0.01). The changes of PAI-1 during weight reduction period were significantly correlated with the changes of FFA(r=0.889, P<0.01) and triglycerides(r=0.869, P<0.05). The changes of both leptin and AAI-1 during weight regain period were significantly correlated with the changes of insulin(r=0.755 and 0.849, P<0.05, respectively). In summary, these results suggest that serum levels of leptin and PAI-1 were affected by weight cycling, the percentages of change were more greater than that of weight change, and rebound phenomena were occurred during weight regain period.

Several recent analyses of the superiority effects in multiple-wh constructions have been given within GB Theory and within the Minimalist Program : Chomsky (1981), Huang(1982), and Lasnik & Saito(1984) have proposed an Empty Category Principle(ECP) explanation; May(1985) offers a Path Containment Condition (PCC) analysis; Lasnik & Saito(1992) appeals to the Superiority Condition(SC); Aoun & Li(1993a) use their Conditions on Absorption(CA), and Chomsky(1993) appeals to economy conditions (specifically shortest move), to explain superiority effects, In spite of differences, the approaches cited above are essentially the same. They all crucially assume that the grammaticality of multiple-wh constructions depends upon the licensing of the wh-in-situ position. I demonstrate here that all the aforementioned analyses are empirically in adequate and can't explain the superiority effects of a certain constructions. Then I show that we can account for multiple-wh data that the above assumptions fail to explain, if we make the following three assumptions: (1) The ECP is conjunctive, thereby requiring that nonpronominal traces be both head-governed and antecedent-governed. (2) Government respects Rizzi's Relativized Minimality. (3) Lexically filled argument positions can be A' -positions and will be A' -positions if marked with a Comp-index. Following Stroik's VP structure and Baker's indexing conventions along with the above assumptions, I demonstrate that the VP structure permits us to offer an explanatorily adequate account of superiority effects in VP with multiple arguments and modifiers.

장력구동방식의 역감제시 시스템

In this paper, we have developed a new Force-Display system using tendon-driven method. The proposed system is based on the HIR Lab Haptic library, which calculates the real position and renders the reflecting force data to device rapidly. The system is composed of device based tendon-driving method, high-speed controller and Haptic rendering library. The developed system will be used on constructing the dynamical virtual environment. To show the efficiency of our system, we designed simulation program which can display the moving force (attaching, grabbing, rotating) on two virtual point. As the result of the experiment, our proposed system shows much higher resolution than any others.

해녀콩(Canavalia lineata)자엽에서 Canavalin의 일부 특성과 변화

해녀콩(Canavalia lineata)의 자엽에서 canavalin을 분리하여 그 특성을 알아보고 발아와 유식물 생장시 자엽에서 canavalin의 변화를 조사하였다. Sephacryl S-300 컬럼 크로마토그래피와 SDS-전기영동으로 canavalin과 그 subunit의 분자량이 각각 165kD와 49kD로 canavalin은 3량체임을 알았다. 그리고 등전점 전기영동으로 canavalin subunit의 등전점이 5.5이고 trypsin에 의하여 27kD와 25kD의 분해산물을 생성함을 알았다. 한편, 건조한 종자에는 canavalin과 그 subunit 그리고 25kD와 24kD의 작은 폴리펩티드가 존재하나 canavalin subunit는 점차 분해되고 25kD의 폴리펩티드는 4∼6일 이후에 모두 분해되지만 24kD의 폴리펩티드는 8일까지도 비교적 다량존재하였다. The properties and fate of canavalin were investigated in the cotyledons during germination and growth of Canavalia lineata. The molecular weights of canavalin and its subunit were determined by Sephacryl S-300 column chromatography and SDS-PAGE, leading to the inference that canavalin is consistent with the trimer structure consisting of 49kD subunit. The canavalin subunit had an apparent isoelectric point of approximately 5.5 based on denaturing IEF and was hydrolyzed by trypsin into two fragments of 27kD and 25kD representing cleavage at one vulnerable point in the polypeptide chain for trypsin. The canavalin subunit and its cleavaged products react with the antiserum to the canavalin subunit and the canavalin subunit and 25kD polypeptide degraded during germination and growth of seedlings, but 24kD polypeptide remained until the 8th day sowing.
