Purpose -The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Visual merchandising(V MD) factors to brand engagement and purchase intention, so that make this become the basic data for the employers or employees of franchise cafe. Design, data, and methodology -To accomplish this purpose, the survey for visitors of franchise cafes in Seoul was progressed, and VMD factor was divided into six main components: ‘Harmonization’, ‘Attractiveness’, ‘Fit’, ‘Pandemic’, ‘Functionality’ and ‘Reliability’ factors. Based on previous studies, this study hypothesized and tested it using regression analysis. Result -VMD components have been shown to have a significant positive effect on brand engagement. And it has been shown to have a significant positive effect on purchasing intentions. Conclusions -Since the cafe atmosphere differs significantly from the restaurant, maximizing the atmosphere and efficiency of the space by considering the VMD factor is critical. So the operators and employees of franchise cafes will be able to establish appropriate and effective marketing strategies through the results of the study on what VMD elements customers respond to and how efforts should be made to maximize those characteristics.

<P>Phase change memory (PCM) has emerged as one of the most promising technologies to incorporate into the memory hierarchy of future computer systems. However, PCM has two critical weaknesses to substitute DRAM memory in its entirety. First, the number of write operations allowed to each PCM cell is limited. Second, write access time of PCM is about 6-10 times slower than that of DRAM. To cope with this situation, hybrid memory architectures that use a small amount of DRAM together with PCM have been suggested. In this paper, we present a new memory management technique for hybrid PCM and DRAM memory architecture that efficiently hides the slow write performance of PCM. Specifically, we aim to estimate future write references accurately and then absorb frequent memory writes into DRAM. To do this, we analyze the characteristics of memory write references and find two noticeable phenomena. First, using write history alone performs better than using both read and write history in estimating future write references. Second, the frequency characteristic is a better estimator than temporal locality in predicting future memory writes. Based on these two observations, we present a new page replacement algorithm called CLOCK-DWF (CLOCK with Dirty bits and Write Frequency) that significantly reduces the number of write operations that occur on PCM and also increases the lifespan of PCM memory.</P>

BACKGROUND: 18F-sodium fluoride positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-NaF PET/CT) has been proven to be useful in identification of microcalcifications, which are stimulated by inflammation. Blood speckle imaging (BSI) is a new imaging technology used for tracking the flow of blood cells using transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). We evaluated the relationship between turbulent flow identified by BSI and inflammatory activity of the aortic valve (AV) as indicated by the 18F-NaF uptake index in moderate aortic stenosis (AS) patients. METHODS: This study enrolled 18 moderate AS patients diagnosed within the past 6 months. BSI within the aortic root was acquired using long-axis view TEE. The duration of laminar flow and the turbulent flow area ratio were calculated by BSI to demonstrate the degree of turbulence. The maximum and mean standardized uptake values (SUVmax, SUVmean) and the total microcalcification burden (TMB) as measured by 18F-NaF PET/CT were used to demonstrate the degree of inflammatory activity in the AV region. RESULTS: The mean SUVmean, SUVmax, and TMB were 1.90 ± 0.79, 2.60 ± 0.98, and 4.20 ± 2.18 mL, respectively. The mean laminar flow period and the turbulent area ratio were 116.1 ± 61.5 msec and 0.48 ± 0.32. The correlation between SUVmax and turbulent flow area ratio showed the most positive and statistically significant correlation, with a Pearson’s correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.658 and a p-value of 0.014. CONCLUSIONS: The high degree of trans-aortic turbulence measured by BSI was correlated with severe AV inflammation.
The impact of the hope growing account program on participants’ economic well-being in South Korea

In 2010, the Korean government introduced the Hope Growing Account (Hope) program. The Hope program combines elements of a social assistance scheme (monthly income grants) with matched funds for savings to encourage the working poor to increase income and build assets. This longitudinal study estimated changes in household economic well-being among 895 low-income households who participated in Hope between 2010 and 2012. Economic well-being was measured by changes in household monthly income and income-to-needs ratio. The adjusted difference- in-differences estimation revealed that the impact of Hope varied over household income distributions: lower income households were more likely to increase their monthly earned income and income-to-needs ratio compared to demographically similar non-participants, while higher income households were less likely to increase their income and income-to-needs ratio. We describe how future research is needed to better understand how the Hope program impacts household assets and behavioral changes in the long run.

Because glycosylation of aesculetin and its 6-glucoside, aesculin, enhances their biological activities and physicochemical properties, whole-cell biotransformation and enzymatic synthesis methodologies using Neisseria polysaccharea amylosucrase were compared to determine the optimal production method for glycoside derivatives. High-performance liquid chromatography analysis of reaction products revealed two glycosylated products (AGG1 and AGG2) when aesculin was used as an acceptor, and three products (AG1, AG2, and AG3) when using aesculetin. The whole-cell biotransformation production yields of the major transfer products for each acceptor (AGG1 and AG1) were 85% and 25%, respectively, compared with 68% and 14% for enzymatic synthesis. These results indicate that whole-cell biotransformation is more efficient than enzymatic synthesis for the production of glycoside derivatives.

본 연구는 기능성 디지털 게임이 젊은 연령층에서 실내 태닝을 방지하는데 효과적인 건강 커뮤니케이션 도구로서 쓰일 수 있는지 가능성을 조사해 보고자 수행되었다. 학제간 협력을 통한 게임 개발 과정에서, 게임의 주요 요소들은 행동 예측 이론을 바탕으로 실내 태닝 행동과 연관된 중요한 신념들에 (결과 평가, 규범적 신념, 통제감 등) 영향을 미치도록 개발되었다. 이 기능성 게임이 건강 관련 웹사이트나 교육용 자료와 같이 전통적으로 널리 쓰이는 건강 커뮤니케이션 도구들과 비교해 더욱 효과적인지 평가하기 위해, 501명의 미국 젊은 성인 남, 녀를 대상으로 온라인 실험을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 기능성 게임이 태닝과 관련된 중요한 신념들에 영향을 미치는데 전통적인 도구들보다 더 효과적이라는 통계적 증거는 발견되지 않았다. 또한, 이 게임이 실내 태닝 행동 의도에 미치는 영향에 있어서, 젊은 성인 여성들이나 기존에 실내 태닝 경험이 없는 참가자들 사이에서는 가장 효과적인 도구로 나타난 것과는 달리, 남성이나 실내 태닝 경험이 있는 참가자들 사이에서는 가장 비효과적인 도구로 나타났다. 이 연구는 대안적인 건강 증진 및 교육 도구로서 기능성 디지털 게임의 활용 가능성에 주목하는 연구자와 실무자들에게 유용한 가이드를 제공하며, 이러한 뉴미디어 플랫폼이 젊은이들 사이에서 일괄적으로 긍정적으로 효과를 미칠 것 이라는 가정에 주의를 환기시키는 중요한 함의를 지닌다. This study examined the feasibility of implementing a digitalized serious game as an innovative health communication tool to prevent indoor tanning among young adults. In an interdisciplinary, collaborative design process, the main game elements were strategically developed to shape the outcome, normative, and control beliefs known to influence indoor-tanning behavior based on behavioral prediction theories. An online experiment with 501 young adults in the United States was conducted to evaluate the game’s effectiveness relative to conventional intervention modalities that have been widely used for health communication interventions. Results showed little evidence demonstrating the merit of using a digital game over traditional intervention tools, such as a health website or brochure, in influencing critical indoor-tanning beliefs. In addition, the game was among the most effective tools in discouraging future indoor tanning intention for female participants, but appeared to be the least effective tool for male participants and those who had previously tanned indoors. This study offers useful guidance for researchers and practitioners who are interested in the potential of serious games as an alternative health-intervention tool and suggests caution in assuming universal effects of using the new media platform without considering differences within the seemingly homogeneous group of young individuals.
