        This thesis studied whether friction welding of SUP9A, torsion bar material could be accomplished or not. And then optimum welding conditions were examined and leaded through tensile, impact, torsion and hardness test after postweld heat treatment of the actual field condition. Obtained results were as follows; Linear relationship was existed between heating time and total upset, and a quadratic equation model could be made between tensile strength and heating time. Optimum welding conditions with fine structure were as follows in case total upset(U)=8.3mm; the number of rotations(n)=2,000 rpm, heating pressure(p1)=80 MPa, upset pressure(p₂)=200 MPa, heating time(t₁)=4 sec, upset time(t₂)=3 sec.

        An extensive experimental tests(500, 600 and 700℃) on 12%Cr steel to examine Bailey-Orowan's creep recovery equation ε=r/h, where ε is the steady state creep rate, r is the recovery rate and h is the strain hardening coefficient were measured, the value of h calculated from this equation was compared with that measured in a room temperature tensile test, and the experimental results were as follows: 1) The application of Bailey-Orowan's recovery equation to steady state creep was considerably coincided with expremental results. 2) The stress sensitivity of ε was mainly due to the influnces of stress on r. 3) h was decreased several fold during the transient creep.

        This study was undertaken to review the case series of 216 ectopic pregnancies admitted to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pohang Sunrin Hospital from January, 1990 to December, 1991. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy was relatively high, being found to be 1 in 34.4 delivery cases. On the symptomatology, low abdominal pain was encountered in 96.8 percent, amenorrhea in 93.5 percent and vaginal bleeding in 16.2 percent in order. The fallopian tube was the most frequently, being found to be 98.6 percent, followed by the ovary with 0.9 percent and the cervix with 0.5 percent.

        It is very important for the turbine rotor steel to predict residual life from a viewpoint of safety under using conditions(including cold, warm and hot start), but the research report of this part is rarely found in the country. So, in this study the investigation for the maximum stress and temperature distribution of Y-Fossil HP rotor was confirmed by FEM(finite element method) analysis program, ROSTRESS and ROTEMP. The life consumption by creep and fatigue phenomenon of crack was considered. In the rotor life prediction program-ROLIFE developed, Paris and Forman rule were used and compared with each other as the prediction for the fatigue crack propagation, and the remaining rotor could be calculated as the sum of fatigue and creep damage by Miner rule.

        Outdoor campus facilities can be defined as the various convenience facilities installed around the campus, plazas and in pedestrian areas. Some examples of such facilities include benches, shelters, drinking fountains, waste baskets and ashtrays. Thes mainly satisfy the biological needs of those who use the buildings, in addition, public telephones, lights, sign boards and other such convenience facilities are included in the definition of indoor and outdoor facilities. These outdoor facilities are used by a given group of people from within the campus and as such the individual functions of these public facilities must be kept in mind during the designing process. However, currently, minor environmental concerns of the campus' function are not taken into account. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to begin by satisfying the functionality of public facilities of the outdoor campus facilities. The designs will also take into consideration the characteristics of the location and harmony with the location. The design of the outdoor facilities took into account the convenience, safety, pleasantness. and beauty in the design coordination together with the characteristics of the location so that could be installed according to the tastes of the college. However, there are limits to and individual's ability of design. As a consequence, close cooperation with experts in related fields is inevitable.

        원시성 교세포종 : 증례보고 Regarded as a subclass of primitive neuroectodermal tumors

        Primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNETs) may be a term established recently for a tumor group ( ? ) which is composed of prominent undifferentiated cells with variable foci of differentiation along glial and neuronal lines. The authors experienced a case of 'primitive glioma' regarded as a subclass of PNETs, in a 14 year old boy who had suffered from headache and vomiting for about 40 days prior to admission. Brain CT and angiographic studies reveal a huge hypovascular mass lesion with multiple cysts in the left frontal lobe. The patient was satisfactorily treated by total tumor excision and following irradiation, and is now in follow up. We present the case with review of the literatures.

        임신중 우측난소의 자궁내막장종의 성장과 파열의 1례

        계명의대 산부인과에서 35세된 경산부에서 임신과 동반된 우측 난소의 자궁내막낭종의 성장과 파열을 경험하였기에 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다 Pregnancy had long been considered to have beneficial effect on endometriosis. During the pregnancy, extrauterine endomertrial tissues did not growth or enlarged because of physiologic amenorrhea and producing hormonal effect. However, we experienced a patient who underwent emergency exploratory laparotmy at gestation week 34/4 for rupture of an ovarian endometriotic cyst. The patient had a Cesarean section delivery of a 1,960gm female baby, who died at 1st day of life.

        Creep rate is affected by the temperature and in fact, if the temperature above Tm/2(Tm: melting point), there rises some problem of its practicality. This research wishes to know the high temperature creep characteristics of pure Mg. If stress is fixied, according as temperature rises, the strain rate is distinguished. The creep rate at maximum stress change according to temperature. Creep life is corelation with the steady state creep rate. The instantaneous strain is reasonably assumed to consist of the elastic strain and the plastic strain. OSDP of TTP is well applied to similar value regardless of temperature difference. But, LMP and MHP was separated as two difference linear equation according to temperature.

        In order to examine the physical properties of carbon fiber reinforced composites with the short random carbon fibers, experimental studies of fresh and hardened CFRC were carried out, The types of fiber used are pitch-based carbon fiber and high modulus PAN type carbon fiber. To examine the effects of the types, lengths, constents of CF and matrices, the following two types of CFRC were tested ; air cured CFRC and autoclaved CFRC. According to the test results, it can be concluded that the reinforcement of CF were considerably effective in improving tensile strength, flexural strength and toughness of cement matrices compared to conventional cement mortar.

        Big accidents of flyings, vessel, subways, gas equipments, buildings and bridge happens frenquently. Therefore many people are suffering harm of property. The destruction cause of macaine components is almost accused by fatigue. This study is test for STS304 specimen by using pure and cantilever bending state. Rounded specimen and notched specimen including fracture surface investigation was comparatively experimented, fatigue life according to degree of surface finishing was examined. Fatigue fracture probability of notched canilever specimens were predicted by P-S-N curve, median rank and Weibull distribution. And at the relation with the rotational speed and stress the fatigue life of the test specimen was higher than low speed at high speed.
