튜오마스 이롤라의 음향 분석을 활용한 슈만의 <트로이메라이> 연주해석

본 논문에서는 동일한 곡이 두 개의 서로 다른 연주적 표현에 의하여 어떻게 감정적 의미 연합을 진행하는지에 대하여 녹음된 음향신호를 활용하여 분석하였다. 동일한 곡이라도 다른 연주 표현을 통하여 악곡에 부여된 의미와 음악 외적인 정보와의 연합에 의해 다양성을 나타낸다. 음향 신호에 대한 음향적 정보의 발췌를 위하여 이롤라(T. Eerola)의 “음악에 대한 청취자의 감정적 반응 도식화” 논문을 심층 분석하여 활용하였다. 이롤라가 지정한 총 여섯 가지의 음향적 정보 중 주파수 중심도, 템포 명료성, 그리고 음량 등을 집중하였다. 분석의 대상으로는 슈만의 ‘트로이메라이’를 선택하였는데, ‘트로이메라이’는 예술적이면서 대중취미적인 음악적 특징과 함께 표제음악으로서의 의미 및 음악 외적인 정보를 다양하게 담고 있는 성격소품(Character piece)이다. 연주자로는 프랑코 디 니토(Nitto, F.D.)와 윤디 리(Li, Y.)를 선택하였다. 그들이 연주한 ‘트로이메라이’를 소닉 비쥬얼라이져(Sonic visualizer)를 활용하여 음향 신호를 시각화 한 뒤, 이롤라의 음향적 정보와 감정반응의 메커니즘을 적용하여, ‘트로이메라이’의 다양한 상징적 정보와 어떻게 연합을 이루는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 본 연구자는 두 연주자의 ‘트로이메라이’ 연주의 소리신호에 따라 감정 반응은 각각 달라지고, 이 달라진 감정 반응들은 ‘트로이메라이’가 담고 있는 다양한 정보와 연합하게 되는 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 결국, 연주자의 다른 해석은 각기 다른 청취적 반응을 일으키며, 이것은 음향적 차이에 의하여 발생 될 수 있다. Even in the same music, the association between the meaning given to a piece of music through different performance expressions and its external information create diversity. The purpose of this study is to analyze how this emergent performance associates with emotional information and information formed by music by using recorded voice signals. To extract the acoustic information related to the voice signal, the author classified the acoustic signal by thoroughly analyzing the paper by Tuomas Eerola’s ‘Modeling the listener’s emotional response to music.’ This study intensively utilized the frequency centroid, tempo clarity, and volume, among a total of six types of acoustic information designated by Eerola, for the analysis of Robert Schumann’s ‘Traumerei’. ‘Traumerei’ is a character piece that contains a variety of information outside of music and meaning as the title music (program music) along with artistic and kitsch musical characteristics. All emotional responses of listeners will be different according to the acoustic signals of the ‘Traumerei’ performance, and these changed emotional responses are associated with various information contained in ‘Traumerei'. Therefore, according to the acoustic signals of the performance, various symbolic associations of the meanings of the music can be formed in various ways. Through this study, the author visualized the audio signals of Franco Di Nitto and Yundi Li’s ‘Traumerei’ by using Sonic Visualizer. Applying it to the mechanism of emotional response, the author examined how it is associated with various symbolic information of ‘Traumerei’. As a result, the various interpretation of performers create diverse audio signals and, the diverse audio signals cause extensive audible decoding.

This study is conducted to provide a method to estimate the setting time and early age compressive strength using D type durometer.Test results indicated that the use of D type Durometer attached with modified needle, which was designed to secure improved accuracy in setting and compressive strength, enables to estimate setting time and the compressive strength at early age.

This study attempted to confirm the possibility of estimating condensation time and initial compressive strength with five types of estimation needles in the existing Durometer D type. In order to determine the surface finishing operation time and develop a method for estimating the initial age compression strength, an estimation needle capable of complexly measuring the estimation time and the initial age compression strength based on the Durometer D type was derived as 1.5, 2.0mm.
Text Mining-Based Trend Analysis of United States Defense Standards

The purpose of this study was to understand the trends of standards established in the United States, an advanced country in the field of defense, and to find points that can be applied to Korean defense standards. The titles of various United States defense documents including MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, MIL-PRF, and MIL-DTL registered on the web were selected for analysis. A wordcloud was created after analyzing the frequency of words appearing in the title using text mining. It was possible to grasp the trend of words appearing in MIL-STD by era. Words that appear a lot due to the format of the document itself, words that appear a lot throughout the era, words that are used frequently in the past but are not used much in the present, and words that do not receive attention in the past but appear many in the present were identified. In addition, the characteristics of each document were derived through the wordcloud created for various defense documents. Korean defense standards also require consideration of safe use of materials and provision of various cargo transport standards. In addition, if the defense standard document system is clearly established and invested in efficient management, the quality of defense standards can be expected to improve.

In this paper, we propose a mobile robot steering structure that can do counter-steering and rotate in place. There are a lot of car-like robots and differentially driven robots since they are easy to make. But they cause slip when they rotate; especially, differentially driven robots cause greater slip than other models. Also, it cannot even rotate in place on a surface with high friction, like asphalt. To reduce these slips and increase maneuverability, AWS(All-Wheel- Steer) robots with as many motors as the number of wheels have been being chosen. However, with many motors, software and hardware systems are complex and expensive. So, we propose a more simple and inexpensive steering structure with high maneuverability like AWS. This steering structure has a single motor and a solenoid actuator, but it has high enough mobility to do tasks required in the smart farm.
Object Modeling for Environment Perception through Human-Robot Interaction

In this paper we propose a new method of object modeling for environment perception through human-robot interaction. Particularly, within a multi-modal object modeling architecture, we tackle the gestural language part using a stereo camera. To do that, we define three human gestures based on the size of target objects; holding small objects, pointing at medium ones, and contacting two corner points of large ones. When a user indicates where the target object is located in the environment, the robot interprets the user’ gesture and captures one or more images including the target objects. The region of interest where a target object is likely to be located in the captured image is estimated from the environmental context and the user’ gesture. Finally, given an image with a region of interest, the robot performs foreground/background segmentation automatically. Here, we suggest a marker-based watershed segmentation method for object segmentation. Experimental results show that the segmentation quality of our method is as good as that of the GrabCut algorithm, but the computational time of ours is so much faster that it is appropriate for on-line interactive object modeling.
