Backgroud: DHEA-S is the most abundant steroid hormone in circulation, and primarily secreted from the adrenal cortex, but its physiological role is little known. One of the characteristic features of DHEA-S is progressive decrement of plasma DHEA-S level with advancing age, in contrast, plasma levels of other adrenal hormones are not chaging or littie decreasing. To grasp the trends of plasma DHEA-S level and DHEA-S/cortisol ratio by age in healthy Korean, we measured the plasma DHEA-S levels and DHEA-S/cortisol ratios in healthy Korean. Methods: Healthy Korean(men: 99, women: 102, age range: 15-97 year old)were studied. Subjects were not taking drugs(such as glucocorticoid or androgenic medication) or cigarettes known to modify the plasma level of DHEA-S and cortisol, and had no evidence of hepatic, renal disease or hyperlipidemia as determined by serum lipid, bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT, BUN, creatinine. Data were analyzed by 10-year age group for men and women: i.e, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40- 49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89 and 90 year or more. Plasma DHEA-S levels were measured by using a commercially available RIA kit with 125I labeled-DHEA-SO4(Coat-A Count DHEA-SO4), and for the measurement of plasma cortisol levels, commercial Gamma Coat TM[125I] Cortisol Radioimmunassay Kit was used. Results:. 1) In both men and women, plasma DHEA-S level showed high interindividual variation within the same age group. 2) There were individual sex differences in plasma levels of DHEA-S, in all age groups, plasma DHEA-S levels were significantly higher values for men than for women. 3) Maximum plasma DHEA-S levels(men; 237+-3.35 ug/dL, women; 108+-17.5 ug/dL) were at third decade in both men and women. 4) Both men and women showed the continuous decline in plasma DHEA-S level with age. These age-related decline was more prominent in men than in women(men; y= -3.152 * +292.6, r2= 0.8459, P$lt;0.05, women; y= -1.417 * +143.3, r2 = 0.7278, P$lt; 0.05). 5) As an index of aging, there was no stastical difference between DHEA-S and DHEA- S/cortisol ratio. Conclusion: In healthy Korean, there were high interindividual variation of plasrna DHEA-S levels. In both men and women plasma DHEA-S level was peak at third decade, and from when it declined progressively with age. These results suggest that although the reliability of single plasma DHEA-S measurement are limited, the decline of DHEA-S with advancing age might be a specific marker of endocrinologic hormonal milieu(aging index). Also, concerning to individual adrenal secreting capacity, we measured DHEA-S/cortisol ratio. But we did not found that plasma DHEA-S/cortisol ratio is superior to the plasma DHEA-S level as an aging index. (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 12:245-254, 1997)

Man Soo Han. 1997. Worldview, Culture, and Language. Collected Papers on Christain Language Culture. The purpose of this is to restore morality in language based on living sacrifices in pious, biblical and social-ethical dimensions. And, on the basis of this Purpose, this paper also aims at the establishment of Christian worldview which is the central systematization of Christian culture from which stems its values and system. In order to achieve this purpose, this paper makes an introductory remarks in chapter 1, In chpater 2, this paper argues that worldview functions as congnitive foundation and emotional security. And it integrates culture and monitor culture change based on validation of the deepest cultural forms. In chapter 3, Christian worldview has some words about the cross, reconcilation, life and salvation on the basis of the answers to the questions of our own, such as " I have been redeemed" " I have been called.", and " I am His." Besides the worldview, Christian culture is argued here that its core is the very understanding that we must live a life of living sacrifices in faith, hearing the word of God. In chapter 4, biblical language and morality are argued. It is argued that Jesus is a perfect communicator, a persuasive speaker with consummate skills of speech. It is also proposed that morality is restored only through Jesus as a perfect communicator. And, morality is also restored through our purification and beautification of our language lives. Animal-like language is to be changed into the language of making humans human. In chapter 5, our abstaining from profanity of our sacred words and not to tell a lie in the presence of God and in human society are proposed. In chapter 6, biblical language are proposed. They are symbolic, dialogical, and praying languages. Finally, in chapter 7, this paper proposes that restoration of morality in language is carried out only through the faith that it is not we who speak, but the spirit of our Father who speaks in us. With the help of the spirit we must speak with each other in our Christian culture based on Christian worldview. (Director of the Institute)

축구선수와 일반인의 스쿼트운동에 따른 근피로도 변화 비교

In this study, to analyze the changing process of the muscle fatigue before squat, immediately after squat, 5 minutes after squat, 10 minutes after squat, experiment was carried out to 8 people of soccer player played over 7 years who are at I university and 8 people of healthy adult man. The electromyogram was measured at Erector Spinae, Gluteus Maximus and Rectus Femoris, and repeated 2-way ANOVA test was performed by repeated measuring about the value of the muscle fatigue of each muscle and time, group, left and right side, time and group, time and left and right side. The results are as below. About the left and right side of the Erector Spinae, Gluteus Maximus and Rectus Femoris, there is no meaningful difference through all 3 kind of muscles. In the result of the analysis of the study about the Erector Spinae and Rectus Femoris, there are statistically definite differences through time and a little statistical difference through time and group. But about the Gluteus Maximus, there is no statistically meaningful difference. Thus, the muscle fatigue generated in the process of squat, influences on the muscle of Erector Spinae and Rectus Femoris but doesn`t influence on the Gluteus Maximus.

His world of experience has been widened in Men Without Women. The name Nick was changed into Frederic Henry in A Farewell to Arms, and here he has deepened the knowledge of love and war. In The Sun Also Rises, Jake Barnes. Nick's another alter ego, has come into the moods of degradation. In translation of his literary background into Africa, the protagonist. Harry or Francis Macomber, has been purge of all human pride, however. At last, Nick's last alter ego Santiago has appeared in The Old Man and the Sea. In short, Santiago is the last name of Nick Adams' life journey in Hemingway's literary world.

Dr. Man Soo Han. 1999. Language and Morality. Collected Papers on Christian Language Cuilture. The purpose of this paper is to tide over the "aphasia" in our head through "healing words" and to restore our morality to the image of God, that is, to help make humans human on the basis of linguistic morality. In order to achieve this purpose, this paper makes an introductory remark in chapter 1. This paper argues human and language activity in chapter 2. In chapter 3, worldview and language are argued. In chapter 4, "aphasia" of modern men and its healing are argued, and healing words and morality are proposed in chapter 5. 모바일 매체 플로우와 광고유형이 광고 효과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 대중화가 이루어진 휴대폰 환경에서 소비자의 행동을 새롭게 파악할 수 있는 플로우 개념에 대해 살펴보았으며, 본 연구의 목적은 매체 플로우 정도와 모바일 광고유형에 따라 광고 효과에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 연구결과 휴대폰 사용자의 플로우가 높을 때에는 낮을 때보다 모바일 광고효과가 높게 나타났다. 모바일 풀형 광고와 푸시형 광고 유형별 차이에 따른 광고효과는 광고태도, 브랜드태도에 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으나, 구매의도에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 전반적으로 풀형 광고가 푸시형 광고보다 광고 효과가 더 높게 나타났다. 휴대폰 사용자의 플로우가 낮을 때에는 풀형 광고가 푸시형 광고에 비해 광고 태도와 브랜드태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 플로우가 높을 때에는 낮을 때에 비해 모바일 광고를 클릭하는 구매의도의 광고효과가 높게 나타났다. 플로우와 성별과의 관계를 살펴보면, 플로우가 낮을 때에는 여성이 남성보다 광고효과에 더 긍정적인 영향을 보였다. This experimental study was carried out on the assumption that depending on types of mobile advertising and media flow level, their impacts on mobile advertising effectiveness would be different. This study is focused on media flow showing the consumer behavior in the new environment of mobile phones. The results of the study show that when the flow of mobile phone users is lower, it seems to be significant impacts on mobile advertising -- ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention than when the flow is higher. Advertising effects showed significant differences in advertising attitude and brand attitude according to types of mobile advertising. When the flow of mobile phone users is lower, pull-type advertising appeared to have significant impacts on ad attitude and brand attitude. There seems to be sexual differences regarding media flow and advertising effects. When the mobile flow is lower, more positive impact on ad attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention was shown in women than in men.

Man's behavior tendency as a rule depends upon his personality traits. It's of common sense that man's personality in relation to his personality traits and behavior pattern is uniquely responded to his environment. We can make his behavior better through analyzing student's personality in terms of psychological testing. 밝은社會의 人間像과 言語行爲

Dr. Man Soo Han. Human's Image and Language Activity in Enlightened Society. Collected Papers on Christian Language Culture. On the basis of restoration of human's image created in God's own image, this paper aims at the establishment of enlightened society by healing the language activity affected by a disease in our heart. In this connecton, this paper makes an introductory remark in Chapter 1, arguing social characteristics and human language activity in Chapter 2, human personality in enlightened society and healed human's image in Chapter 3, the language activity in enlightened society in 4, and finally this paper reaches a conclusion in Chapter 5. Especially, in Chapter 3, as a healed human's image, this paper emphasizes the types of spiritually beantiful image, affluent image at heart, and a cooperative human's image. Also in Chapter 4, this paper suggests the language of mentality and the language of healing. Especially, in the language of healing, as seen in James Chap. 3, we must speak with care we must control talk and cultivate thought. In controlling talk, powerful tongue, perverse tongue, and polluted tongue airs discussed. And, in cultivating thought, humble wisdom, gracious wisdom, and peaceable wisdom are discussed. In conclusion, this paper proposes that we must establish enlightened mental personality and brighter humanity based on the language of mentality and healing, so that we may enlighten our corrupt society. Captopril과 Nifedipine 병합요법의 강압효과에 관한 임상적 연구

Background: The hypotensive effect of captopril(angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor) and nifedipine(calcium channel blocker) was studied. Method: Captopril(75mg) and nifedipine(30mg) were administered in 30 hypertensive adults during twelve weeks after a week observation for washout with stepwise increments of the dose according to the patient's blood pressure in every two weeks. Result: The supine blood pressure were decreased from 169.5±22.3/104.0±20.3 mmHg to 130.4±21.3/82.4±19.5mmHg at the end of twelve weeks during therapy.(p<0.05) The standing blood pressure were also decreased conferrably and to the some lower level. Hematologic examination and blood chemistry revealed no discernible abnormal findings before and after the treatment. During the period of the study a few probably drug-related symptom such as cough and headache, gastrointestinal disturbance developed but not troublesome enough to administering. Conclusion: Captopril and nifedipine regimen is well tolerated and effective in the treatment of hypertensive patients.

Incisional Hernia in Adult Liver Transplant Recipients

Aims: Incisional hernia is one of the complication following abdominal operation. Patients undergoing liver transplantation have a high risk of developing an incisional hernia because of immunosuppression. The purpose of this study is to review incisional hernia cases after liver transplantation and to identify the risk factors for hernia formation. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed and analyzed the medical records of the ninety-four incisional hernia patients after liver transplant recipients from January 2000 to December 2015 in single center institution. Results: 1463 underwent adult liver transplantation during the study period. 94 Incisional hernia patients were found among them. The overall incisional hernia rate was 6.4 %. Mean age was 54 years old and 76.6 % were men. No significant difference was observed for sex, diagnosis, smoking, alcohol, albumin, Child-Pugh score, MELD score, intensive care unit stay, hepatorenal syndrome, ventilator, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, diabetes, bile leakage, wound problems between patients with incisional hernia and patients without incisional hernia. The characteristics of patients with incisional hernia showed old recipient, more body weight, higher body mass index, living donor recipient compared with patients without incisional hernia. Hypertension, tuberculosis, rejection, postoperative complication event before hernia were significant risk factor (p<0.05). Conclusions: Present study identifies the risk factors for incisional hernia. Surgeons should strive to reduce the risk of incisional hernia after adult liver transplantation.
