Authors have identified fifty two strains of pathogenic organisms out of 200 cultures of fecal specimen requested from wards during 1973. Authors carried out various biochemical tests for fifty two strains of pathogenic organisms and evaluated this laboratory studies in order to obtain statistical significance and finally learned that clinical microbiological laboratory works in chosun University hospital gave hospital staffs much help to confirm diagnosis and to treat patients suffering from salmonellosis, shigellosis and particularly infections by proteus group identified as antibiotic resistant strains. Following results were obtained by biochemical and serological tests with fifty two strains of pathogenic organisms. Among 52 strains, 20 Shigella group strains, 9 Salmonella group strains, 17 Arizona-citrobacter group strains and 6 proteus group strains were identified. All cultures of tested strains revealed typical biochemical and serological properties although they were isolated in different seasons and age groups.

하드웨어 중심의 기존 로봇에 웹서비스 및 기술을 적용하여 로봇의 응용 서비스 영역을 확장함으로써 로봇의 정보 서비스 고도화를 이루기 위해 웹 기반 IT 로봇 서비스enabling 기술을 개발하고 있다. 시맨틱 검색 기술은 사용자가 원하는 서비스 또는 콘텐츠를 비교적 정확히 찾기 위해 시맨틱 웹을 사용하고 있으며 서비스 프로세스 실행 기술은 인터넷 상의 웹서비스와 로봇의 구동 서비스를 하나의 프로세스로 동적으로 구성하여 수행할 수 있도록 해준다. 로봇은 방대한 양의 시맨틱 정보를 내장하고 않고 원격지 서버상에서의 시맨틱 검색을 통해 충분히 시맨틱한 결과를 획득할 수 있으며 또한 고정되지 않은 그리고 웹이 컨텍스트와 콘텐츠를 활용할 수 있는 서비스 프로세스 형태의 로봇이 제공할 수 있는 서비스의 질을 개선하고 그 종류 또한 다양하게 변화시킬 수 있다

The insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP3) has been investigated as a candidate gene for growth promoting effects in beef cattle and a modulator of IGF bioactivity. Previously, we have reported twenty two sequence variants discovered in Korean native cattle (Hanwoo). In this study, we examined the association between gene-specific polymorphisms of IGFBP3 and cold carcass weight (CW) and marbling score (MS) among Korean native cattle. Among twenty two polymorphisms, four common polymorphic sites (-854G>C, -100G>A, +421G>T and +3863C>A) were genotyped in our beef cattle (n = 437). Statistical analysis revealed that one common polymorphism in the promoter region (-854G>C) showed putative associations with MS (p = 0.03). IGFBP3 variation/haplotype information analyzed in this study will provide valuable information into strategies for the production of a commercial line of beef cattle.

Bovine coding region single nucleotide polymorphisms located proximal to quantitative trait loci were identified to facilitate bovine QTL fine mapping research. A total of 692,763 bovine SNPs was extracted from 39,432 UniGene clusters, and 53,446 candidate SNPs were found to be a depth >3. In order to validate the in silico SNPs experimentally, 186 animals representing 14 breeds and 100 mixed breeds were analyzed. Genotyping of 40 randomly selected candidate SNPs revealed that 43% of these SNPs ranged in frequency from 0.009 to 0.498. To identify non-synonymous SNPs and to correct for possible frameshift errors in the ESTs at the predicted SNP positions, we designed a program that determines coding regions by protein-sequence referencing, and identified 17,735 nsSNPs. The SNPs and bovine quantitative traits loci informations were integrated into a bovine SNP data: BcSNPdb (http://snugenome.snu.ac.kr/BtcSNP/). Currently there are 43 different kinds of quantitative traits available. Thus, these SNPs would serve as valuable resources for exploiting genomic variation that influence economically and agriculturally important traits in cows.

Many arthritis patients experience physical and psychological impairments. Two hundred and three patients were examined to identify the relationships between the variables such as pain, ADL depression, self-efficacy and the effect of self-efficacy on pain, ADL and depression. It was found that ADL is significantly negatively related to depression and pain, and positively related to self-efficacy. Pain was significantly negatively related to self-efficacy, and positively related to depression and ADL. Then stepwise multiple regression was performed to identify the variables to predict ADL, pain and depression. Self-efficacy predicted negatively depression and positively ADL. Depression predicted positively pain. So it was revealed that self-efficacy decreased pain indirectly by influencing depression. Also pain predicted negatively ADL. ADL was predicted directly by pain and self-efficacy. So it is suggested that nursing intervention improving self-efficacy would be useful for patients with depression, pain, and ADL limitation. Moreover, these subjects gained 44 score in depression which means severe depressed state. So it is very important to implement nursing intervention to increase self-efficacy. Recommendations for future research was suggested.
