        교정장치로부터의 니켈과 크롬의 유리에 관한 연구

        니켈과 크롬은 대부분의 교정장치를 제작하는데 사용되는 합금을 구성하는 주요한 금속이다. 그러나 이들 금속은 과민반응, 피부염, 천식 등의 주요한 원인이 되며, 이들 금속의 우발적인 흡입에 의해 암이 유발될 수 있음이 보고된바 있다. 이에 하악 standard edgewise 브라켓을 이용한 사분악의 교정 장치를 37℃, 0.05% NaCl 용액에 저장하여 교정장치의 부식에 의해 유리된 니켈과 크롬을 Inductively Coupled Plasma(ICP) spectroanalyzer를 이용하여 측정하였다. 교정장치로부터, 1일 평균 9.83-70.0㎍/day의 니켈이 유리되었으나, 크롬은 10ppb 측정한계에서 측정불가능 하였다. 니켈 유리량은 제품에 따라 유의한 차이를 가져왔다. Galvanic 조건이나 Sand blasting 처리는 니켈 유리량에 증가를 가져왔으나 통계학적으로 유의하지 않았다. Nickel and chromium are two major metals used in the alloys of most orthodontic appliances. But these metals arc known to cause hypersensitivity, dermatitis, and asthma. In addition, a significant carcinogenic and mutagenic potential has been demonstrated for compounds containing these metals. The purpose of this study was to find out how much nickel and chromium was released from orthodontic appliances, and which factors would influence the release. The simulated orthodontic appliances were constructed for a half of a mandibular arch and incubated in 0.05% NaCl solution at 37℃. Nickel and chromium release was quantified with an Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectroanalyzer. The results were as follows 1. From simulated orthodontic appliances, nickel was released 9.83-70.0㎍/day but the release of chromium was not detectable in limit of l0ppb. 2. The amount of nickel release was significantly different between the types of appliances. 3. The galvanic condition increased the amount of nickel release, which was not statistically significant. 4. The sand blasting increased the amount of nickel release, which was also not statistically significant.

        Probable Plaintext Attack uses some probable plaintexts to find a secret key using the relationship between a pair of plaintext and ciphertext. IP header have some probable fields which can be used in a probable plaintext attack. Because of address size, Plaintext of IPv6 have more than plaintext of IPv4. In order to reduce the size of a probable plaintext in IPv6, it is required to exclude the address field from the probable plaintext attack. An encryption technique using random numbers is proposed. Before IPSEC mechanism is applied to a packet, the address field is exclusive-ored with a random number, which ensures that the address field is concealed from a probable plaintext attack. This reduces the large amount of a probable plaintext size in IPv6.

      • 청소년기 문제행동과 부모 양육행동에 관한 연구

        연구목적 : 일반 청소년의 문제행동(내재화 문제, 외현화 문제)을 평가하고, 그들을 정상 집단과 문제행동 집단으로 나누어 집단간에 부모 각각의 양육행동이 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 알아보고자 한다. 방 법 : 서울 소재의 일반 고등학교 학생 792명을 대상으로 부모 양육행동 척도와 K-YSR을 실시하여 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 양육행동과 청소년의 문제행동을 평가하였다. 부모의 양육행동과 청소년의 문제행동과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 학생들이 보고한 각 문제행동을 상/하위 25% tile을 기준으로 정상 집단과 문제행동 집단으로 나누어 부모의 양육행도의 차이를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 다음과 같다. 1) 부모의 애정, 합리적 설명, 감독의 긍정적인 양육행동은 대부분의 청소년 문제행동들과 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 반면에 학대, 과잉간섭, 과잉기대, 방임, 비일관성이 부정적인 양육행동은 문제행동들과 유의한 정적 상관이 있었다. 2)내재화 문제를 보이는 청소년들은 정상 집단에 비해 부모로부터 학대, 과잉간섭, 과잉기대, 방임, 비일관성의 양육행동을 유의하게 더 많이 받았고, 반면에 애정을 유의하게 더 적게 받았다고 지각하고 있었다. 외현화문제를 보이는 청소년들은 정상집단의 청소년들에 비해 부모로부터 학대, 과잉간섭, 과잉기대, 방임, 비일관성의 양육행동을 유의하게 더 많이 받았고, 반면에 감독을 유의하게 더 적게 받았다고 지각하고 있었다. 3) 내재화 및 외현화 문제를 모두 보이는 집단이 내재화 문제만 보이는 집단과 외현화 문제만 보이는 집단에 비해서 양쪽 부모로부터 유의하게 더 많은 과잉간섭을 받을 것으로 지각하고 있었다. 또한, 내재화-외현화 집단과 내재화 집단은 외현화 집단에 비해서 어머니로부터 유의하게 더 적은 애정과 더 많은 방임을 받고 있고, 아버지로부터 유의하게 더 많은 학대를 받은 것으로 지각하고 있었다. 결 론 : 이상의 결과로 미루어 볼 때, 청소녕이 지각한 부모의 학대, 과잉간섭, 과잉기대, 방임, 비일관성의 양육행동은 청소년의 내재화 및 외현화 문제 모두와 유의한 연관이 있고, 반면에 부모의 애정, 감독, 합리적 설명의 양육행동은 다양한 청소년기 문제행동을 줄일 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the problem behaviors of adolescents and to discriminate between parenting behaviors of problem behavior groups and those of non-problem behavior group. Methods : The subjects of this study were 792 high school students in Seoul. We administered 'parenting behavior Inventory' and Korean version of Youth Self-Report(K-YSR) to the subjects in order to evaluate the parenting behaviors perceived by adolescents and the problem behaviors of adolescents. We analzed the relationship between parenting behaviors and problem behaviors. We classified the subjects into problem behavior groups(internalizing group, externalizing group, internalizing-externalizing group) and a non-problem behavior(normal) group. We studied the differences of parenting behaviors among the groups. Results : The results are as follows. 1) There were significant negative correlations between the positive parenting behaviors such as affection, reasoning, and monitoring and the problem behaviors of adolescents. By contrast, there were significant positive correlations between the negative parenting behaviors such as physical abuse, intrusiveness, over-expectation, neglect, and inconsistency and the problem behaviors of adolescents. 2) Adolescents of the internalizing group perceived significantly more parental abuse, intrusiveness, over-expectation, neglect, and inconsistency than those of normal group. Meanwhile, they perceived significantly less affection than normal adolescents. Adolescents of the externalizing group also perceived significantly more parental abuse, intrusiveness, over-expectation, neglect, and inconsistency than those of normal group. Also, they perceived significantly less monitoring than normal adolescents. 3) Adolescents of the internalizing-externalizing group perceived significantly more intrusiveness from both parents than those of either the internalizing or the externalizing groups. Adolescents of the internalizing-externalizing group perceived significantly less affection and more neglect from their mothers than those of the internalizing of the externalizing groups. In addition, adolescents of the internalizing-externalizing group perceived significantly more physical abuse from their fathers than those of the internalizing or the externalizing groups. Conclusion : Parenting behaviors such as abuse, intrusiveness, over-expectation, neglect, and inconsistency are associated with both internalizing and externalizing problems. In contrast, our results suggest that parenting behaviors such as affection, monitoring, and reasoning might decrease the various problem behaviors of adolescents.

        홍삼류의 섭취가 비만과 혈중 지질의 상호관계에 미치는 영향

        비만은 동맥경화의 위험인자로서 혈중에 triglyceride의 농도를 종가시키고, 상대적으로 HDL-Cholesterol의 농도를 감소시킴과 동시에 수축기 혈압을 상승시킨다. 본 연구에서 홍삼제품류를 4년 또는 5년 동안 복용해 온 건강한 사람 (ginseng군)과 홍삼제품을 복용하지 않은 건강한 사람 (control군)을 대상으로 하여 신체 계측치로부터 비만지수를 구하고 이것과 혈중의 triglyceride (TG)농도, TG/HDL-Cholesterol ratio 및 수축기 혈압과의 상호관계를 연구한 바, ginseng군에서는 대조군에 비해 혈중의 TG 농도가 일정하게 유지되었고, TG/HDL-Cholesterol ratio 및 수축기 혈압도 일정하게 유지되었다. 이러한 현상은 ginseng군에서 기호품으로 alcohol을 섭취하거나, 흡연을 한 경우에도 상관없이 일정하게 유지 되었다. 이 결과는 홍삼제품류를 장기 복용하면 비만의 저하 및 고혈압 또는 동맥경화의 위험인자가 억제될 수 있고, 결론적으로 비만, 고혈압 및 동맥경화를 예방할 수 있을 것으로 추정한다. Obesity is the risk fcactor of atherosclerosis and not only increases triglyceride concentration in blood but also decreases relatively the ratio of TG to HDL-Cholesterol in blood. In case of obesity, systolic blood pressure is also increased in responding the increase of TG in blood. Index of obesity in red ginseng-taking group (ginseng group) was lower as compared with non-red ginseng-taking group (control group). The TG concentration, the ratio of triglyceride to HDL-cholesterol in blood and systolic blood pressure were decreased in the subjects of ginseng group compared with that in control group. It is inferred that long-term intake of ginseng products may help to prevent the risk of atherosclerosis and obesity.

      • Caving Disaster and Oil Spill Removal Adsorbent Mag-Sorbent

        For trying to frontal attack of new solution by fusion of technical tasks and conditions with it's solving methods of the essential tasks of marine resource development and environmental conservation in addition with elements of electronic high-technologies, the magnetic oil spill adsorbent of Mag-Sorbent* has been prepared and proposed to dispose oil spill from the marine disaster for preventing oil pollution by using them and their system with sequentially circular collection of oil spill mag-sorbent powder and fabrics on the electronic equipment like as barge robot for the scheme of sustainable development of environment-friendly technology. Because of recent marine accident occurred at Tae-An cost and earthquake in Sichuan province were very large scale accident of disaster to prevent and manage of them. So, it was verified from the experiment of electronic demonstrator that the skimmer system of oil spill mag-sorbent powder and fabrics prepared was very effective and useful technique to collect oil spill samples on the water surface specially at the closed space of underground cave. At this point, the barge-based electronic remote control was very useful system operating easily on the marine fields but also water level at the small pool to skim it with the environment-friendly system of the disposing marine disaster and preventing oil pollution using magnetic adsorbents of Mag-Sorbent*.

        Upregulation of Cytosolic NADP+-Dependent Isocitrate Dehydrogenase by Hyperglycemia Protects Renal Cells Against Oxidative Stress

        Hyperglycemia-induced oxidative stress is widely recog-nized as a key mediator in the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy, a complication of diabetes. We found that both expression and enzymatic activity of cytosolic NADP+-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDPc) were upregu-lated in the renal cortexes of diabetic rats and mice. Simi-larly, IDPc was induced in murine renal proximal tubular OK cells by high hyperglycemia, while it was abrogated by co-treatment with the antioxidant N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). In OK cells, increased expression of IDPc by stable transfec-tion prevented hyperglycemia-mediated reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, subsequent cellular oxidative stress and extracellular matrix accumulation, whereas these processes were all stimulated by decreased IDPc expres-sion. In addition, production of NADPH and GSH in the cy-tosol was positively correlated with the expression level of IDPc in OK cells. These results together indicate that upregulation of IDPc in response to hyperglycemia might play an essential role in preventing the progression of dia-betic nephropathy, which is accompanied by ROS-induced cellular damage and fibrosis, by providing NADPH, the re-ducing equivalent needed for recycling reduced glutathione and low molecular weight antioxidant thiol proteins.

      • Grating Coupler Design of an Integrated HAMR Head Light Delivery System Using Topology Optimization

        <P> This research is objected to design the grating structure for the purpose of efficient light delivery for the heat assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) system. The parameter study is firstly performed to determine the proper size of waveguide components and the topology optimization method is employed to design the grating structure. The formulation of the optimization problem is set to maximize the efficiency of the optical delivery. In the topology optimization result, the coupling efficiency is improved more than 20 times in comparison with the initial coupling efficiency and it is verified that the suggested optimization process can be applied to the grating structure design in the HAMR head effectively. </P>

      • Diagnostic Characteristics of Submesoscale Coastal Surface Currents

        <P>Submesoscale kinetic energy (KE) spectra and fluxes at the length scales ranging from 2 to 25 km are estimated from hourly and O(1) km-scale coastal surface current maps observed from shore-based high-frequency radars off southern San Diego. The one-dimensional wave number-domain KE spectra of the surface currents have decay slopes between k(-2) and k(-3) at a wave number (k) of 0.5 km(-1). The KE spectra exhibit anisotropy associated with anisotropic circulation, which is constrained by the shoreline and bottom bathymetry. Moreover, the KE spectra exhibit weak seasonality related to the regional submesoscale eddies and low-frequency circulation with weak seasonal variability. The estimated KE fluxes are categorized into four cases of purely forward cascades and inverse cascades at all wave numbers, inverse-then-forward cascades with a single zero-crossing within the range of wave numbers (0.04 to 0.5 km(-1)), and residuals, which account for approximately 33%, 39%, 19%, and 9% of the total number of realizations, respectively. An injection scale where forward enstrophy cascade and inverse energy cascade occur is estimated to be 5 to 10 km from the cases of the inverse-then-forward cascade, which is consistent with the length scales of the regional submesoscale eddies. Thus, the regional submesoscale processes are initiated by surface frontogenesis due to the weak seasonal low-frequency surface circulation and topography-related currents, then maintained by baroclinic instabilities associated with the seasonal mixed layer and O(10) km-scale submesoscale eddies with weak seasonal variability.</P>
