Modified Genetic Operators for the TSP

For a long time, genetic algorithms have been recognized as a new method to solve difficult and complex problems and the performance of genetic algorithms depends on genetic operators, especially crossover operator. Various problems like the traveling salesman problem, the transportation problem or the job shop problem, in logistics engineering can be modeled as a sequencing problem This paper proposes modified genetic crossover operators to be used at various sequencing problems and uses the traveling salesman problem to be applied to a real world problem like the delivery problem and the vehicle routing problem as a benchmark problem Because the proposed operators use parental information as well as network information, they could show better efficiency in performance and computation time than conventional operators.
Practical Patching for Efficient Bandwidth Sharing in VOD Systems

Recursive Patching is an efficient multicast technique for large-scale video on demand systems and recursively shares existing video streams with asynchronous clients. When Recursive Patching initiates a transition stream, it always makes a transition stream have additional data for the worst future request. In order to share a VOD server's limited network bandwidth efficiently, this paper proposes Practical Patching that removes the unnecessary data included in the transition stream. The proposed Practical Patching dynamically expands ongoing transition streams when a new request actually arrives at the server. As a result, the transition streams never have unnecessary data. Simulation result confirmed that the proposed technique is better than Recursive Patching in terms of service latency and defection rate.
Study on the Energy-Band Structure of Indium-Rich InGaN/GaN Quantum Dot System

The ground-state energy levels and energy band structures of the In-rich InGaN/GaN quantumdot (QD) system were analyzed by performing the capacitance-voltage (C-V), deep-level transient spectroscopy (DLTS), and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. The InGaN QD system was grown by using a metal-organic chemical vapor deposition method. The lateral size, the height, and the density of a disc-shaped InGaN QDs were 47.3 nm, 1.2 nm and 9.0 × 109 cm.2, respectively. The ground states of the InGaN QDs were located at 0.44 eV from the top of the barrier, which correspond to the conduction band edge of GaN. The QDs had various levels, except for the ground-state energy. A band-to-band transition energy of 2.92 eV was found by using PL measurements. Moreover, antisite point defects were also founded in GaN buffer layer, and their activation energy and emission cross-section were 0.70 eV and 1.19 × 10.13 cm2, respectively.
통합에 대한 장애유아부모와 유아통합기관 전문가들의 요구에 대한 질적연구

본 연구는 천안지역의 통합유치원 모형 개발을 위한 기초자료를 수집하기 위한 질적연구이다. 이 연구를 위해 천안지역에 거주하고 있는 8명의 장애유아부모들의 통합교육에 대한 요구와 타 지역에서 비교적 통합교육을 모범적으로 실시하고 있는 세 기관의 원장, 일반유아교사, 유아특수교사와 심층면담을 하였다. 연구결과 장애유아의 부모와 통합교육관련 전문가들은 장애유아를 위해 통합교육이 절실히 필요하고 교육적 효과도 높다고 지각하였다. 그러나 효과적인 통합교육이 이루어지기 위해서 통합교육환경의 체계적인 물리적 기준 설정, 다양한 자질을 지닌 교사, 유아교육기관 안에서 교육과 치료의 통합, 일반교육과정의 수정 그리고 종일반 운영에 대한 고려가 있어야 한다고 생각하였다. This study collected fundamental data to develop a model for an inclusive early childhood education center in Cheonan. Eight parents of young children with disabilities were interviewed to understand their needs, and directors, early childhood teachers, and early childhood special teachers in three inclusive early childhood education centers were interviewed for their opinions. An analysis of the results revealed that parents with young children with disabilities and professionals in inclusive early education centers perceived that inclusive early education is necessary. To establish desirable inclusive education, a systematic standard for the physical setting should be established. It is also suggested that the inclusive teachers should have diverse talents, and the inclusive early child education centers should integrate education and therapy. It is necessary that the early childhood education curriculum be varied.
Dietary Factors Associated with Hyperlipidemia in Korean Postmenopausal Women

This study was performed to investigate the related dietary factors associated with hypercholesterolemia in postmenopausal Korean women. The study sample comprised 455 postmenopausal women aged40 $\leq$ < 65. The hypercholesterolemic (serum cholesterol $\geq$240mg/dl group (N = 82) showed significantly higher BMI and waist circumference compared to the normal group (N = 373). However, both group did not show any significant difference in energy intake but hypercholesterolemic group demonstrated significantly lower intakes of fat and vitamin A with higher intake of vitamin C. Significant dietary factors associated with the higher risk of hypercholesterolemia included consumption frequencies of light color vegetable more than 3.79times/day (OR = 4.62 ; $95\%$ CI : 2.96 - 7.22), dried squid more than 0.08time/day (OR = 1.63 ; $95\%$ CI : 1.13 - 2.35), and beer more than 0.03time/day (OR = 1.57 ; $95\%$ CI : 1.01-2.43). Whereas consumption frequency of yellow and green leafy vegetables more than 1 time per day was associated with the significantly lower risk of hypercholesterolemia (OR = 0.06 ; 95 CI : 0.038 - 0.101).
