Purpose Capecitabine is an extensively used oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil in treatment of colon cancer and is known to cause hand-foot syndrome (HFS). As the target enzyme for capecitabine, thymidylate synthase (TYMS) plays a key role for 5-fluorouracil metabolism and has been associated with some side effects caused by capecitabine. The aim of our study is to identify the possible genetic predictors of capecitabine-induced HFS (CAP-HFS) in Chinese colorectal cancer patients.Materials and Methods Whole exons of TYMS were sequenced for 288 extreme phenotype HFS patients, including 144 severe or early-onset (first 2 cycles) moderate HFS extreme cases and 144 extreme controls with no reported HFS. The associations between polymorphisms and CAP-HFS were analyzed using logistic regression under an additive model.Results We identified a novel risk mutation (c.1A>G, chr18:657743), was associated with severe HFS in an extreme case who was affected during the first cycle of treatment. Moreover, we identified three new variants, rs3786362, rs699517, rs2790, and two previously reported variants, 5’VNTR 2R/3R and 3′-untranslated region 6-bp ins-del, which were significantly associated with CAP-HFS (p < 0.05). In silico analysis revealed that the effect of these polymorphisms in the TYMS region on the development of HFS might not be restricted solely to the regulation of TYMS expression, but also the TYMS catalytic activity through the indirect effect on ENOSF1 expression.Conclusion This study identified new polymorphisms in TYMS gene significantly associated with CAP-HFS, which may serve as useful genetic predictors for CAP-HFS and help to elucidate the underlying mechanism of HFS.

Rapid amplification of cDNA ends was performed to isolate cold-regulated CbCOR15 (EF208112) from Chorispora bungeana. This alpine species is distributed in subnival areas. Transcripts were detected in the leaves, but not the roots, of plants acclimated to cold temperatures. Expression was induced at high levels at both 4°C and −4°C. In comparing its deduced protein sequence to that of AtCOR15a (cold-regulated 15a in Arabidopsis thaliana), the N terminus had less homology than the C terminus while still containing a region analogous to the chloroplast-targeted signal peptide of AtCOR15a. We also introduced CbCOR15, with the CaMV 35S promoter, into tobacco. Second-generation (T1) plants had significantly increased tolerance to chilling, as determined by their electrolyte leakage, chlorophyll content, and relative water content. Further freezing-stress experiments showed that the tolerance of transgenic lines was significantly greater than that of the nontransgenics. Although the degree of chilling and freezing tolerance in the transgenic plants was not directly correlated with the accumulated levels of CbCOR15, we could conclude that this gene confers cold tolerance.
An Efficient Protocol for ZigBee Security Problems

The ZigBee Key management is very important in the network security, which is related to key generation, key exchange, key storage, and key safeguarding. Therefore successful key management is critical to the security of a cryptosystem and x-based authentication. In this paper, we suggest the problems of the ZigBee key management and show a multi-CA center model to overcome these problems.
클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 위한 퍼지 논리 기반 상황인식 접근 제어 모델

무선 환경에서의 인증 모델은 많은 보안 위험을 내포하고 있다. 그러나 이 분야에 일반적으로 사용되는 표준 기술이 존재하는 것이 아니어서 본 논문에서는 무선 인증 환경에서 보다 강화된 보안을 제시할 수 있는 퍼지 논리 기반의 인증 모델을 제시한다. 제안하는 모델을 위해서 퍼지 논리 기반의 분류 방법을 사용하고 적절한 판단을 위해서 개선된AHP 알고리즘과 사례 기반의 추론 방법을 추가적으로 사용한다. 개선된AHP 알고리즘을 사용해서 다양한 상황정보를 수치화하고, 제안된 인증 모델을 사용해서 입력 데이터에 대한 보안 등급을 계산한 다음, 다양한 환경의 상황정보를 가진 무선환경에 제안된 인증 모델을 안정적으로 사용할 수 있을 것이다. 향후에는 상황인식 연구를 클라우드 컴퓨팅 분야를 포함한 다양한 분야로 제안 모델을 확대하면 더욱 안전한 보안 환경을 기대할 수 있을 것이다. Authentication model in the wireless environment has many security vulnerabilities. However, there is no adapting standard method in this field. Therefore, we propose a fuzzy logic based authentication model to enhance the security level in the authentication environment. We use fuzzy logic based classification to construct our model, and also additionally utilize improved AHP and case-based reasoning for an appropriate decision making. We compute the context information by using the improved AHP method, use the proposed model to compute the security level for the input data, and securely apply the proposed model to the wireless environment which has diverse context information. We look forward to better security model including cloud computing by extending the proposed method in the future.
VOS Viewer를 기반으로 한 중국 식품 포장디자인 연구

본 연구는 계량서지학을 토대로 EndNote, VOSviewer를 활용하여 중국 학술사이트 CNKI의 식품 포장디자인 핵심저널 및 CSSCI 문헌을 연구하였다. 2002-2022년 399건 문헌을 대상으로 정량적 연구 및 시각화분석을 실시하였으며, 분석 내용은 발표연도, 저널 출처, 문헌 피인용횟수, 문헌 저자 협력 네트워크, 키워드 군집화, 연구 동향 시각화 등이다. 중국 식품 포장디자인 문헌의 발표연도는 크게 3개의 시기로 뚜렷하게 나뉘었다. 주요 학술지는 모두 식품공업 저널이며 디자인 경향성은 낮았다. 저자 협력 네트워크는 뚜렷한 핵심저자그룹이 존재하지 않았다. 키워드 군집화 분석 결과, 소비자, 아이디어 디자인, 색채, 어린이식품 포장과 지역문화, 특색식품에 위주의 3개 군집을 도출하였다. 고빈도 키워드는 ‘식품 포장디자인’, ‘포장디자인’, ‘식품 포장’, ‘소비자’ 등이며, 연구 이슈 추세 분석 결과, ‘포장 아이디어 디자인’, ‘시각전달디자인’이 최근 연구 중점으로 나타났다. 본 논문의 연구 결과가 향후 중국 식품 포장디자인 연구를 위한 참고자료로 활용되길 기대한다. This study studied the core journal of food packaging design and CSSCI literature of the Chinese academic site CNKI using EndNote and VOSviewer based on quantitative bibliography. Quantitative research and visualization analysis were conducted on 399 documents from 2002 to 2022, and the contents of the analysis include the year of publication, journal sources, number of citations in the literature, cooperative network of literature authors, keyword clustering, and research trend visualization. The year of publication of the Chinese food packaging design literature was largely divided into three periods. All major journals are food industry journals, and design trends were low. The author cooperation network did not have a distinct core author group. As a result of keyword clustering analysis, three clusters focused on consumers, idea design, color, children's food packaging, local culture, and specialized foods were derived. High-frequency keywords are “food packaging design,” “packaging design,” “food packaging,” and “consumer,” and as a result of the analysis of trends in research issues, “packaging idea design” and “visual transmission design” have recently focused on research. It is hoped that the research results of this paper will be used as reference materials for future research on Chinese food packaging design.
Molecular characterization of HEXOKINASE1 in plant innate immunity

Hexokinase1 (HXK1) is an Arabidopsis glucose sensor that has a variety of roles during plant growth and devlopment, including during germination, fowering, and senescence. HXK1 also acts as a positive regulator of plant immune responses. Previous research suggested that HXK1 might infuence plant immune responses via responses to glu‑ cose. Plant immune responses are governed by two main pathways: PAMP-triggered immunity (PTI) and efectortriggered immunity (ETI). PTI involves the recognition of Pathogen-Associated Molecular Patterns (PAMPs) and leads to increased callose formation and accumulation of pathogenesis response (PR) proteins. ETI acts in response to efectors secreted by Gram-negative bacteria. During ETI, the membrane-localized protein RPM1-interacting protein 4 (RIN4) becomes phosphorylated in reponse to interactions with efectors and mediates the downstream response. In this study, the efects of glucose on plant immune responses against infection with Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 and other P. syringae strains were investigated in the presence and absence of HXK1. Infltration of leaves with glucose prior to infection led to decreases in bacterial populations and reductions in disease symptoms in wild-type Arabidopsis plants, indicating that glucose plays a role in plant immunity. Both PTI and ETI responses were afected. However, these efects were not observed in a hxk1 mutant, indicating that the efects of glucose on plant immune responses were mediated by HXK1-related pathways.
