중간세공 분자체 SBA-15는 tetraethoxysilane을 실리카원으로 하여 triblock copolymer를 구조유지 시약으로 사용하여 합성된다. 이러한 중간 세공 분자체의 응용성은 역시 결정의 외관상 형태에 의 해 좌우되어진다. 규칙적인 모양의 입자를 합성하는 것은 나노 공간의 SBA-15를 이용한 나노물질을 제조하는데 응용되기 때문에 매우 중요하다. SBA-15의 형태는 숙성과정의 온도와 시간을 바꿔 줌으로써 조절된다. 특히 rod 형태의 입자의 길이는 숙성 반응과 수열반응의 조합에 의해 조절된다. Morphology 변화는 형태학적 재 구조화에 의해 설명될 수 있다. Mesoporous molecular sieve SBA-15 using triblock copolymer as a structure directing agent and tetraethoxysilane as a silicon source has been synthesized. The applicability of mesoporous molecular sieve depends also on the external morphology of crystallites. The synthesis of regular shaped particle is very important due to the application for the preparation of nano materials using the nano space of SBA-15. By varying the aging temperature and duration, the morphology of SBA-15 was controlled Especially, the length of rod-shaped particle was controlled with the combination of reaction condition of aging and hydrothermal reaction. The change of morphology could be attribute to the metamorphic reconstruction

Stenosis of central vein is a common complication arising after percutaneous subclavian vein catheter insertion performed for temporary vascular access in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. There are several treatment methods for the condition like percutaneous angioplasty(PTA), stent insertion, and surgery, but recent trend is toward PTA and stents. Among the patients diagnosed with chronic renal failure from March 1993 to May 2002 and undergoing hemodialysis through AV fistula, the 14 Patients in whom central vein stenosis arose were selected for the study. A total of 28 percutaneous interventions(5 PTA and 23 stent placement) were performed, and restenosis rate and the time taken till the restenosis in de novo lesions and instant lesions were compared. All 28 cases were operated successfully. The 14 cases that received both anigioplasty and stent placement initially. (de novo lesion : 14 cases), Among the 10 cases with de novo lesion that followed up more than 1 year, 3 cases are currently undergoing hemodialysis without restenosis, and the remaining 7 cases have recurred stenosis with the mean time to restenosis of 10.9 months. In the 7 cases in whom stenosis recurred, 11 interventions were done(instent lesion: 11 cases). 4 of these were using only ballon angioplasty with 100% restenosis rate and the mean time of 3 months until restenosis. The remaining 7 cases were using both balloon angioplasty and stent placement, also with 100% restenosis rate but with the mean time of 12 months until restenosis, which was later than the group receiving only balloon angioplasty. In treating the patients with central vein stenosis, stent placement seems to be more advantageous over PTA in terms of restenosis rate and the mean duration of patency. In the case of instent lesion, inserting the stent for the second time after stenosis recurred lengthened the duration of patency compared to performing balloon angioplasty alone.

Metacercariocidal effects and infection status of Gymnophalloides seoi in oysters

We studied the infection rate of and various metacercariocidal approaches to controlling Gymnophalloides seoi for prevention of human infection in cultured and natural oysters in Korea. The selected survey areas were Aphae-do (Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do), which is an endemic area for G. seoi, and Tongyeong (Geonsangnam-do), which is the main production area of oysters in Korea. In the Tongyeong area, the metacercariae of G. seoi were not detected in cultured oysters (0/201) or wild oysters (0/134). Seventy-two G. seoi metacercariae were observed in 33 of 265 natural oysters collected from Aphae-do; however, metacercariae were not detected in the cultured oysters (0/1101) purchased from the Daejeon Fish Market. To investigate the viability of G. seoi metacercariae, various metacercariocidal treatments were used with 3.5% saline and oyster juice used as positive controls. The metacercariae survived for 75.4 h in 3.5% saline and 112.6 h in oyster juice. After the metacercariocidal treatment, G. seoi metacercariae were survived for 13.29 min in tap water, < 20 sec in 4.3% vinegar, no effect in a rinse of the whole oyster body in 70°C water for 1 sec, but 1 sec in a rinse of the whole oyster body in 90°C water for 1 sec. The greatest metacercariocidal effect on G. seoi was from rinsing oysters in 90°C water followed by those from treatment with 20% ethyl alcohol, 4.3% vinegar, and tap water. However, we suggest that the most actual prevention to G. seoi human infection is rinsing the oysters with tap water for at least 30 min.
Examination on Characteristics of Cho Dong-Ik’s Music

This paper is intended to examine renowned works composed by Cho Dong-Ik(1960~), Korea’s most identifiable sessionman and composer in the 1990s. Korean pop music artists successfully instilled awareness of the time and emotions that are uniquely Korean into folk music which was introduced to Korea in the 1970s, and put them back on the global stage. After the 1980s, Korean pop music began taking off, with many burgeoning music genres. Cho Dong-Ik is one of the composers who led the development of Korean pop music, in step with contemporary age. This study revealed various characteristics in melody and chord progression used in music created by Cho Dong-Ik who have continued his creation since the 1980s. Although this work has a limitation of failing to cover every single work created by Cho Dong-Ik, I hope this study would provide some insights for musicians who stick to varying melody and chord progression even in today’s prevalence of computer- generated music through MIDI software with relatively simpler melody and chord progression. 본고는 1990년대에 한국 최초의 세션맨이자 편곡자로서 명성이 높은 조동익 (1960년~)이 작곡한 작품에 대한 고찰이 목적이다. 1970년대 미국의 포크음악이 한국에 유입되면서 한국 대중음악가들은 한국인의 시대의식과 자신의 감성을 반영하여 한국대중음악을 세계화시키는데 성공하였다. 그 결과 1980년대 이후에는 다양한 부류의 음악 장르가 형성되어 한국대중음악이 발전하게 되는데, 조동익이 시대의식에 맞게 한국대중음악을 이끌어간 작곡가중의 하나이다. 1980년대부터 꾸준히 작품 활동을 해 오고 있는 조동익의 음악적 분석 연구를 통하여 그의 작품에 사용된 다양한 선율적 특징과 화성 전개 방식을 알 수 있었다, 조동익의 모든 작품을 연구하지 못한 제한점이 있으나, 사운드에 비해 선율 전개나 화성 진행이 상대적으로 단순한 미디 프로그램을 활용한 컴퓨터 음악이 보다 많이 발표되는 요즘에 다채로운 선율과 화성진행을 사용하는 작곡법을 지향하는 뮤지션들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되었기를 기대하며 본 연구를 마친다.
Capacity of a Class of Multicast Tree Networks

<P>In this paper, we characterize the capacity of a new class of discrete memoryless multicast networks having a tree topology. For achievability, a novel coding scheme is constructed where some relays employ a combination of decode-and-forward and compress-and-forward and the other relays perform a random binning such that codebook constructions and relay operations are independent for each node and do not depend on the network topology. For converse, a new technique of iteratively manipulating inequalities exploiting the tree topology is used. This class of multicast tree networks includes the class of diamond networks studied by Kang and Ulukus as a special case.</P>
