Hydrogenic impurity states in wurtzite symmetric ZnO/MgZnO coupled quantum dots
Shuyi Wei,Qing Chang,Zaiping Zeng 한국물리학회 2011 Current Applied Physics Vol.11 No.1
Within the framework of effective-mass approximation, the ground-state donor binding energy of a hydrogenic impurity in cylindrical wurtzite (WZ) symmetric ZnO/MgZnO strained coupled quantum dots (QDs) is calculated by means of a variational method, considering the strong built-in electric field induced by the spontaneous and piezoelectric polarizations. Numerical results show that the strong built-in electric field induces an asymmetric distribution of the donor binding energy with respect to the center of the coupled QDs. When the impurity is located at the center of the dot which is opposite to the growth direction, the donor binding energy has a maximum value with increasing dot height; and it is also insensitive to the middle barrier width if the middle barrier width is large. Moreover, numerical results also indicate that the donor binding energy of impurity located at the right boundary of the dot which is opposite to the growth direction is insensitive to the Mg composition if the Mg composition is large.

Customer experience is a top priority for business executives and a competitive ground for marketing. Business-to-business (B2B) customer experience is more intricate as it involves multiple actors with distinct roles and objectives, necessitating more customization and knowledge. Hence, it is paramount for organizations operating in the B2B space to understand and enhance the customer experience to gain a competitive edge. This complexity is further amplified in cross-border settings where partners face additional differences and distances, requiring even more mutual adaptations than in domestic business interactions. In such scenarios, individuals involved may significantly differ in terms of culture, language, and business practices.

A novel magnetic polyurethane (PU) composite, PU/OA@Fe3O4 (MPU), was synthesized using oleic-acidcoatedFe3O4 nanoparticles. The response surface method based on the Box-Behnken design wasemployed to optimize the synthesis of MPU. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectronspectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and saturated magnetizationwere employed to characterize the MPU. The conditions for optimal synthesis of MPU were asfollows: 0.65 g of catalyst A, 0.42 g of catalyst B, 2.11 g of organic silicon resin FS-05, and a toluene diisocyanateindex of 112. The saturated magnetization of MPU at an OA@Fe3O4 of 8% and 10% were 21.19 and32.83 emu/g, respectively. The improvement in removal performance of a sequencing batch biofilm reactorwith MPU compared to conventional PU was also investigated. Removal of ammonia nitrogen, totalnitrogen, chemical oxygen demand, and total phosphorus were all improved, compared to PU, by11.73%, 9.13%, 11.22%, and 10.34%, respectively. At the end of the experiment, total and volatile biomassof MPU were 542 and 375 mg/g, respectively, which were 30 and 100 mg/g greater than those of PU. Inaddition, the biofilms growing on MPU contained considerably more proteins and tightly bound extracellularpolymeric substances than those growing on PU.

At present, deep convolutional neural networks have made a very important contribution in single-image super-resolution. Through the learning of the neural networks, the features of input images are transformed and combined to establish a nonlinear mapping of low-resolution images to high-resolution images. Some previous methods are difficult to train and take up a lot of memory. In this paper, we proposed a simple and compact deep recursive residual network learning the features for single image super resolution. Global residual learning and local residual learning are used to reduce the problems of training deep neural networks. And the recursive structure controls the number of parameters to save memory. Experimental results show that the proposed method improved image qualities that occur in previous methods.

An impact system is the core part of the hydraulic rock drill. The dynamic simulation model of the hydraulic impact system is established based on the system simulation platform AMEsim. We used the AMEsim simulation model to verify the displacement, velocity curves of the piston, and valve by using stress wave testing data. The following key features of the impact system are determined: the characteristic curves of the pressure variations in the piston chambers, the influences of oil flow, the charging pressures of the high-pressure accumulator, the pre-setting pressure of the relief valve on impact performance, and impact efficiency. On the basis of orthogonal experiments, a response surface method is used to build a mathematical model of the impact system with efficient and various working parameters. The impact system with an optimal efficiency is designed, and the working parameters are optimized. Our proposed system efficiency increases by 17.7% after the working parameters are optimized. This study provides a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the impact system parameters of the hydraulic rock drill with a sleeve valve.
Pile-sinking force modeling and analysis of anti-pull impact pile driver
Shuyi Yang,Deshun Liu,Yaobing Sun 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.8
A "Rigid body - spring - rigid body - elastic rod - rigid body - spring - elastic rod" impact system dynamics model for an anti-pull impactpile driver is established based on the Newton mechanics and stress wave theory. In the developed model, the force, velocity, andstress curves are acquired by solving the dynamic equations. Influences of system dynamics parameters on the maximum pile-sinkingforce are discussed. Results show that mass and velocity of the impact hammer, stiffness of buffer spring and pile cap have significantimpacts on maximum pile-sinking force, while mass of transmission box and platen have less effects. In engineering applications, maximumpile-sinking force can be controlled by rational allocation and design of pile cap and platen’s stiffness. This work can provide someguidelines for the future product optimization design. As a result, impact performance pile drivers with much better can be designed.

The rifampicin-resistant strain E9-302 of Edwardsiella ictaluri strain 669 (WT) was generated by continuous passage on BHI agar plates containing increasing concentrations of rifampicin. E9-302 was attenuated significantly by 119 times to zebrafish Danio rerio compared to WT in terms of the 50% lethal dose (LD50). Zebrafish vaccinated with E9-302 via intraperitoneal (IP) injection at a dose of 1 × 103 CFU/fish had relative percentage survival (RPS) rates of 85.7% when challenged with wild-type E. ictaluri via IP 14 days post-vaccination (dpv). After 14 days of primary vaccination with E9-302 via immersion (IM) at a dose of 4 × 107 CFU/ml, a booster IM vaccination with E9-302 at a dose of 2 × 107 CFU/ml exhibited 65.2% RPS against challenge with wild-type E. ictaluri via IP 7 days later. These results indicated that the rifampicin-resistant attenuated strain E9-302 had potential as a live vaccine against E. ictaluri infection. A previously unreported amino acid site change at position 142 of the RNA polymerase (RNAP) β subunit encoded by the gene rpoB associated with rifampicin resistance was identified. Analysis of the whole-genome sequencing results revealed multiple missense mutations in the virulence-related genes esrB and sspH2 in E9-302 compared with WT, and a 189 bp mismatch in one gene, whose coding product was highly homologous to glycosyltransferase family 39 protein. This study preliminarily explored the molecular mechanism underlying the virulence attenuation of rifampicin-resistant strain E9-302 and provided a new target for the subsequent study of the pathogenic mechanism of E. ictaluri.
