      • A Study on the Translation and Digital Communication of Chinese Car Culture Corpus in the Context of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Circle

        As the world’s first producer of automobiles, China’s automobile development history epitomizes the struggle of the Chinese nation. Nowadays, China9s car culture does not only include the car itself, but also covers the national sentiment, Chinese culture and Chinese spiritual story behind its brands. However, the lack of foreign propaganda texts of Chinese car culture and foreign dissemination efforts have led to the world’s understanding of China’s car culture remain in a shallow level, and it is not possible to eliminate conflicts and resolve differences through this popular culture. In this paper, we will explore the ways to promote the dissemination of Chinese car culture in the context of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Circle, in order to enhance the sense of cultural identity and cultural self-confidence of the Chinese people, and then allow the world to recognize Chinese culture.

        Changes in the affordability of 4-year public higher education in China during massification

        This study investigates how the affordability of 4-year public higher-education tuition in China changed during the massification period. To conduct an in-depth analysis, this paper examines a wide range of data from the National Bureau of Statistics and adopts a series of measurement indicators, including average tuition as a percentage of per-capita GDP, its share in per-capita disposable income and family savings, and its ratio to financial aid. First, this study concludes that during massification, college affordability rapidly declined and then continuously increased. While for a significant majority of Chinese families college tuition is not an unbearable financial burden, it remains expensive for households in the lowest-income quintile. Second, this paper sheds light on the gap in residents’ ability to pay higher-education tuition between urban and rural areas, different regions, and different income groups. It finds a rapid widening in the gap in these dimensions during the early years of massification, which in recent years has gradually narrowed. Indeed, the mode of Chinese higher education has quickly transformed from “high tuition and low aid” to “low tuition and high aid.”

        The research in spatial data processing mainly focus on two or multi-dimension data processing, and spatiotemporal data processing on moving objects are now more highlight. Spatial data structure are complicated, so the operations on spatial data will spend more cost. Therefore the optimization on spatial query is the key-point in application, and spatial index structures become the bottle-neck in spatial application, many scholars have done their best and given many methods on the problems. The paper present the review on the development of spatial index methods in recently years, and give a perspective in the spatial index and spatiotemporal index technology.

        Contact Parameter Computation and Analysis of Air Circuit Breaker with Permanent Magnet Actuator

        An air circuit breaker (ACB) with novel double-breaker contact and permanent magnet actuator (PMA) is presented. Three-dimensional (3-D) finite element method (FEM) is employed to compute the electro-dynamic repulsion forces, including the Holm force and Lorentz force, which are acting on the static and movable contacts. The electro-dynamic repulsion forces of different contact pieces are computed, illustrating there is an optimal number of contact pieces for the ACB being studied. The electro-dynamic repulsion force of each contact, which varies from the outer position to the inner position, is also computed. Finally, the contacts of the double-breaker are manufactured according to the analyzed results to validate the simulations.

        Correlation Between the CYP2C19 Phenotype Status and the Results of Three Different Platelet Function Tests in Cardiovascular Disease Patients Receiving Antiplatelet Therapy: An Emphasis on Newly Introduced Platelet Function Analyzer-200 P2Y Test

        Background: An association has been reported between CYP2C19 polymorphism and the altered antiplatelet activity of clopidogrel. We investigated this association using the newly introduced platelet function analyzer (PFA)-200 (INNOVANCE PFA-200 System; Siemens Healthcare, Germany) P2Y test. Methods: Polymorphisms of CYP2C19*2, *3, *17 and the degree of inhibition of platelet function were determined in 83 patients. Three different platelet function tests were used to evaluate the degree of platelet inhibition and to check the association with genotype. Results: The post-procedure PFA-200 values of extensive metabolizers (EM) patients (285.3±38.8) were higher than those of intermediate metabolizers (IM) and poor metabolizers (PM) patients (227.7±98.3 and 133.7±99.2, respectively; P=0.024). Light transmittance aggregometry (LTA) and the VerifyNow system showed that the post-procedure values for EM patients were lower than those of IM and PM patients (LTA: 24.4±15.7, 34.1±17.6, and 42.2±16.9, respectively, P<0.001; VerifyNow: 133.2±60.5, 171.5±42.6, and 218.7±59.3, respectively, P<0.001). The high residual platelet reactivity (HPR) rates were significantly different among the EM, IM, and PM groups using PFA-200 (PM:IM:EM=82.4:40.6:11.8, P<0.001). Conclusions: Approximately, 59.0% of Korean patients with cardiovascular disease receiving clopidogrel had CYP2C19 loss-of-function genotypes classified as IM or PM, and the frequency was similar to the data from Asian people. The PFA-200, LTA, and VerifyNow platelet function tests revealed evidence of a significant association between the efficacy of clopidogrel and CYP2C19 genotypes.

        Exploiting Correlation Characteristics to Detect Covert digital communication

        As a widely used way to exfiltrate information, wireless covert channel (WCC) brings a serious threat to communication security, which enables the wireless communication process to bypass the authorized access control mechanism to disclose information. Unlike the covert channel on the network layer, wireless covert channels on the physical layer (WCC-P) is a new covert communication mode to implement and improve covert wireless communication. Existing WCC-P scheme modulates the secret message bits into the Gaussian noise, which is also called covert digital communication system based on the joint normal distribution (CJND). Finding the existence of this type of covert channel remains a challenging work due to its high undetectability. In this paper, we exploit the square autocorrelation coefficient (SAC) characteristic of the CJND signal to distinguish the covert communication from legitimate communication. We study the sharp increase of the SAC value when the offset is equal to the symbol length, which is caused by embedding secret information. Then, the SAC value of the measured sample is compared with the threshold value to determine whether the measured sample is CJND sample. When the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 20db, the detection accuracy can reach more than 90%.

        Angiopep-2-conjugated liposomes encapsulating γ-secretase inhibitor for targeting glioblastoma stem cells

        CD133? cell subpopulation in U87 MG cellsdisplays glioblastoma stem cell (GSC) like properties. Notch, a key regulator of stem cells, is also over-activatedin GSCs. It was previously reported that c-secretaseinhibitors inhibit the Notch pathway by targeting the csecretasecomplex. To examine the GSCs, CD133? cellswere separated from the U87 MG cells by magnetic activatedcell sorting and only cell populations with nearly90 % CD133? cells were used as GSCs. The sorted U87-CD133? cells indeed display enhanced chemoresistanceand high Notch activity. For targeting studies, Angiopep-2(An2)-conjugated YO-01027 (YO) encapsulating liposomes(PEG-lipo-YO-An2) were prepared by lipid filmhydration method. An2 is an effective ligand of low densitylipoprotein receptor-related protein which is over-expressedin the blood–brain barrier and GSCs. The meandiameter, zeta potential and encapsulation efficiency ofPEG-lipo-YO-An2 was around 180 nm, -10.0 mV and56.6 %, respectively. In in vitro studies, we confirmed thatPEG-lipo-YO-An2 showed enhanced anti-GSC propertiessuch as enhanced stability, anti-proliferation and antitumorsphere formation abilities towards than free drug. This study demonstrates that An2 conjugation and liposomalencapsulation of YO enhance the cytotoxicity of YOagainst GSCs, and this formulation could be used as apromising candidate for the treatment of glioblastomamultiforme by targeting GSCs.

        Human Population Admixture in Asia

        Genetic admixture in human, the result of inter-marriage among people from different well-differentiated populations, has been extensively studied in the New World, where European colonization brought contact between peoples of Europe,Africa, and Asia and the Amerindian populations. In Asia, genetic admixing has been also prevalent among previously separated human populations. However, studies on admixed populations in Asia have been largely underrepresented in similar efforts in the New World. Here, I will provide an overview of population genomic studies that have been published to date on human admixture in Asia, focusing on population structure and population history.

        Mechanism and force-energy parameters of a hollow shaft’s multi-wedge synchrostep cross-wedge rolling

        First, the rotation condition of a hollow shaft’s multi-wedge synchrostep cross-wedge rolling (MSCWR) is determined and the relevant influencing rule is illustrated based on a mechanical model of the hollow shaft and the theory of solid shaft’s rotation condition. The influence rule states that the increasing number of wedges increases the shrinkage rate of the hollow shaft and diminishes the rotation conditions, which can be improved by increasing μ on the forming surface of the hollow rolling mold, setting the stretching b , and forming α angles at approximately 4°-12° and 15°-35°, respectively. Second, a rigid-plastic finite element model is established for the hollow shaft with MSCWR by using the DEFORM-3D software, and the deformation mechanism of the hollow shaft is illustrated. The deformation degree of the rolling piece at the stretching stage decreases gradually from the surface to the interior of the hollow shaft, and radial compressive and transverse tensile strains interact with each other, thus resulting in an elliptic cross section of the hollow shaft. Stress field is mainly distributed in the exterior margin and then permeates into the inner part along the direction of the wall thickness, gradually transforming from compressive stress into tensile stress. Third, the influence of mechanical parameters on hollow shaft rolling is analyzed. The increased stretching angle increases the radial force, transverse force, and rolling torque and decreases the axial force. Moreover, the enlarged forming angle reduces the radial and transverse forces, while the decreased rolling torque increases the axial force. Finally, the 1:5 MSCWR experiment on the hollow shaft verifies the proposed finite element model’s accuracy. Results of the research provide a theoretical basis for the MSCWR of a precise hollow shaft.

        A retrospective analysis of cytogenetic alterations in patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: a single center study in Korea

        BackgroundThe accurate identification of cytogenetic abnormalities in multiple myeloma (MM) has become more important over recent years for the development of new diagnostic and prognostic markers. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed the cytogenetic aberrations in MM cases as an initial assessment in a single institute.MethodsWe reviewed the cytogenetic results from 222 patients who were newly diagnosed with MM between January 2000 and December 2015. Chromosomal analysis was performed on cultured bone marrow samples by standard G-banding technique. At least 20 meta-phase cells were analyzed for karyotyping.ResultsClonal chromosome abnormalities were detected in 45.0% (100/222) of the patients. Among these results, 80 cases (80.0%) had both numerical and structural chromosome abnormalities. Overall hyperdiploidy with structural cytogenetic aberrations was the most common finding (44.0%), followed by hypodiploidy with structural aberrations (28.0%). Amplification of the long arm of chromosome 1 and -13/del(13q) were the most frequent recurrent abnormalities, and were detected in 50 patients (50.0%) and 40 pa-tients (40.0%) with clonal abnormalities, respectively. The most common abnormality involving 14q32 was t(11;14)(q13;q32), which was observed in 19 cases.ConclusionThese findings demonstrate that myeloma cells exhibit complex aberrations regardless of ploidy, even from a single center in Korea. Conventional cytogenetic analysis should be included in the initial diagnostic work-up for patients suspected of having MM.
