Brexit's Challenge to Globalization and Implications for Asia: A Chinese Perspective

Brexit represents a backlash against globalization and runs in parallel with Donald Trump's presidential election. Both of these signal the rise of the nation-state and the rejection of the neoliberal vision of globalization in which national sovereignty has been increasingly dissolved. The article argues that it also has fundamental implications for Asia. In particular, China as the world's second largest economy is playing a bigger role in the region. Furthermore, with the rise of China, Asia's global order has become relatively fragile and multilayered in the sense that all big powers, such as the US and Japan, have their relative positions in the region simultaneously. In this regard, it would be more realistic for Asian countries to base their integration on their national sovereignty in a pragmatic way that they can maintain flexibility to the changing order of the world.
Moving Image Information-fusion-analysis Algorithm based on Multi-sensor

The image information captured by a sensor in a network environment shows diversity and uncertainty, and it is difficult to achieve good data information processing and fusion because of the difference in characteristics of multiple images collected without time and space, which has caused considerable interference to the authenticity of the image. A multi-sensor-based information fusion analysis algorithm for moving images is proposed to improve the visual effects of image fusion and the signal-to-noise ratio and information entropy. The convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to extract the features of moving images. The mixed function control curve method generates the time series of moving images. According to the time series of the moving image obtained, the moving image is decomposed by a wavelet. A color space model (CSM) is established, and image fusion and optimization are realized using the multi-sensor fusion and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The proposed method significantly improved the SNR value and information entropy and reduced the standard mean square error. In addition, it had a remarkable image fusion visual effect.
The Cycles of the Chinese Economy and Macroeconomic Regulation

in the second half 0f 2003 and the first half of 2004, the Chinese Government adopted a moderately tight macroeconomic policy, which aroused widespread attention from home and abroad. This is because China's deepening of reform and openness has led to its increasing economic links with the outside world. Starting from analysing the characteristics of the Chinese economy in 2003, this article discusses the issue of contractive macroeconomic regulation. The article highlights that the growth of the chinese economy in 2003 has two features. One is that China's per capita gross domestic product (GDP)exceeded US$1,000, which indicates the Chinese economy may possibly maintain the momentum for rapid growth for a fairly long period. The second is that its year-to-year GDP growth reached 9.3 per cent, putting an end to the continual sliding trend of the economy between 1993 and 1999. It also put a stop to the chinese economy's continual sluggish growth of between 7 and 8 per cent between 1998 and 2002, in the wake of the Asian financial crisis. The Chinese economy has embarked on a fast track on the new round of the economic cycle. However, in the third and fourth quarter of 2003 and the first quarter of 2004, China's GDP growth was as high as 9.6 9.9 and 9.8 per cent, respectively, sparling a supply crisis in the coal, power, fuel and transportation sectors, As a result, important taw materials, such as steel and cement, faced a supply bottleneck and price inflation pressures intensified, Consequently, the Chinese Government, in a timely move, has adopted a moderately contractive macroeconomic policy to precent the economy from fluctuating drastically and th avoid serious inflation to ensure a rapid, stable and sustainable economic growth, This is not only conductive to the growth of the country's economy it self, but also favorable for the development of the international trade foreign investment in China.

Tibial dyschondroplasia (TD) cases has not been reported in Tibetan chickens (TBCs), but it is commonly seen in commercial broilers characterized by lameness. The underlying mechanism remains unclear. Hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) are important regulators of cellular adaptation to hypoxic conditions. In this study, we investigated the role of HIF-1a, -2a, and -3a in hypoxia and thiram-induced TD and their effect on tibial growth plate development in Arbor Acres chickens (AACs) and TBCs. RNA and protein expression levels of HIF-1a, -2a, and -3a were determined by using quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and western blotting analyses, respectively. Interestingly, the results showed that HIF-1a, -2a, and -3a expressions in the tibial growth plate of TBCs were upregulated by hypoxia and the change was more significant in TBCs than in AACs. However, these factors were downregulated in thiram-induced TD. To further clarify the effect of thiram on tibial growth plate in commercial broilers, AACs were observed to exhibit more pronounced changes in their growth plate that that in TBCs. Taken together, these results demonstrate that HIF-1a, -2a, and -3a may be important in tibial growth plate development and in the prevention of TD. The present study contributes novel insights on a therapeutic target for poultry TD.
Identification of Software NFR based on the Fuzzy-QFD Model

NFR determination of the software products is an important link in the requirement development. Considering the correlation and inter-dependence between FR and NFR of software, this paper puts forward a NFR system identification method of the software products based on the fuzzy-QFD model through constructing the FR-NFR correlation matrix of software. The model express correlation evaluation with the 7-level natural language, build the software FR-NFR correlation matrix, fuzzy the matrix vector by the trapezoidal fuzzy number, then calculate the relative importance and absolute importance of NFR, at last get the importance NFR by the NFR screening algorithm.
Silencing IL-23 expression by a small hairpin RNA protects against asthma in mice

To determine the impact of IL-23 knockdown by RNA interference on the development and severity of ovalbumin (OVA)-induced asthmatic inflammation, and the potential mechanisms in mice, the IL-23-specific RNAi-expressing pSRZsi-IL-23p19 plasmid was constructed and inhaled into OVA-sensitized mice before each challenge, as compared with that of control mice treated with alum or budesonide. Inhalation of the pSRZsi-IL-23p19, significantly reduced the levels of OVA-challenge induced IL-23 in the lung tissues by nearly 75%, determined by RT-PCR. In addition, knockdown of IL-23 expression dramatically reduced the numbers of eosinophils and neutrophils in BALF and mitigated inflammation in the lungs of asthmatic mice. Furthermore, knockdown of IL-23 expression significantly decreased the levels of serum IgE, IL-23,IL-17, and IL-4, but not IFNγ, and its anti-inflammatory effects were similar to or better than that of treatment with budesonide in asthmatic mice. Our data support the notion that IL-23 and associated Th17 responses contribute to the pathogenic process of bronchial asthma. Knockdown of IL-23 by RNAi effectively inhibits asthmatic inflammation, which is associated with mitigating the production of IL-17 and IL-4 in asthmatic mice.

Due to the complexity of the contaminations in wastewater, a universal adsorbent that takes many sorts of pollutant is desired. A multi-functioning magnetic Fe3O4-cored magnesium-aluminum layered double oxide (Fe3O4@LDO) composite was prepared and employed as an adsorbent for removing F-, Sb(III) and MO from water, respectively, which are three typical contaminants with different molecule sizes as water contamination. The effect of pH contact time and initial concentrations of pollutants on the removal rates of each contaminant were investigated. Fe3O4@LDO composite showed excellent adsorption performance for all of the three molecules F-, Sb(III) and MO, and their maximum adsorption capacities are as high as 258, 391, and 506mg/g, respectively. The adsorption process of F-, Sb(III) and MO on Fe3O4@LDO fitted well to Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The adsorption mechanisms of F-, Sb(III) and MO on Fe3O4@LDO were investigated. We discovered that iron ions diffused from Fe3O4 nanospheres contributed to the good performance of the absorbent.
