MRAS‑based current estimator for DC–DC converters considering time‑variant load impedance
Shubham Kumar Singh,Chetan S. Matwankar,Manan Jee,Aftab Alam 전력전자학회 2022 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.22 No.2
The integration of the multiple renewable energy sources (RESs) into a common grid requires a DC bus to be connected with the AC bus of the utility grid using an interlinking converter between the two buses. The DC bus is formed by multiple DC–DC converters fed by RESs. To maintain a fixed DC bus voltage, all of the converters are controlled in a closed loop. The number of DC–DC converters along with the number of corresponding voltage and current sensors becomes staggeringly high for a large number of distributed energy resources (DERs) based systems. Therefore, this paper embarks on state estimation-based closed-loop control of DC–DC converters to significantly reduce the number of sensors. Here, the state variable of the DC current is estimated using a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) for eliminating the current sensors from the hardware design. This estimated state, along with the measured state (capacitor voltage), is used in the state feedback-based closed-loop control of the DC–DC converter. A hardware prototype of a solar photovoltaic (SPV) fed 5 kW boost converter was built and controlled using the proposed current estimator. The experimental results establish the accuracy of the performance parameters of the proposed current estimator.

In the present scenario of warming climate, overall health of the glaciers along with sea level rise/fall are directly impacted by glacial dynamics. However due to inaccessible high altitude regions and devastating climate, the in-situ observations are hindered via field excursions. The present study incorporated usability of geographical information system based ice-flow velocity approach using glacier surface velocity and slope for estimating thickness of Zemu glacier in Sikkim. The study revealed thickness of 80 ± 9.6 m to 160 ± 19.2 m near snout followed by 240 ± 28.8 m to 320 ± 38.4 m in upper reaches of accumulation zone of Zemu glacier. However due to gentle slope, thickness ranged between 320 ± 38.4 m and > 400 ± 49.2 m (~ 418 ± 50.16 m) was observed in the central trunk or middle reaches of the glacier. An uncertainty of 12% was observed while calculation the glacier thickness. Relationship between glacier velocity and depth has also been established which has shown inverse characteristics due to variability of bed topography and drag effects. Proper validation of results for each study with existing field observations and literatures depicted the utility and correctness of the present study via satellite based observations.
A Review- on Different Types of Displays
Shubham Shama,Udita Jindal,Mehul Goyal,Sahil Sharma,Vivek Goyal 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.8
Display technology has evolved much lately. No wonder the quality of a device is best judged by its display. In today’s time, displays have gone from miniature monochrome screens on huge devices to thinner screens on smartphones and from monochrome to millions of colors and from no touch to multi touch support. But the most important point to be pondered upon is that a new type of display technology is now being actively adopted with the first devices with flexible screens to be launched in the near future. But before making a leap into that future of new technology, one must know how the display technology evolved and where it stands now. Discussing the various types of displays and their pros and cons, the paper depicts the switching of technology from one to another.

Six Degrees of Separation is a theory that has recently been popularized due to the emergence of various social networking platforms. This theory states that any two random people in the world can be associated with each other with no more than six intermediate links. Though this theory has not been verified yet it has a great potential for practical implementation. In this paper we use this theory to create an application which is going to help the user in finding other individuals who share some common links and can be of benefit to the user. This is achieved through maintaining a central database which contains the details of all the users using our application. A user can search for other people on our database based on certain parameters which would then display the resultant links between the user and the selected target. This establishing of links is achieved using two dimensional bi-direction search algorithm.

The Constitution of India mandates citizen’s ‘right of access to justice’ and it is the onerous duty of the State to take positive steps in the fulfilment of the right. The ‘right of access to justice’ encompasses within itself two aspects: the right to access courts and tribunals of the country and the right to reasonable speedy and effective justice in any court or tribunal of the country. However, due to huge arrears and pendency of cases in the Indian courts, the State is miserably failing in its constitutional duty to provide right of access to justice. The situation is aggravated due to the spread of pandemic COVID-19 in the year 2020-21, which led to closure of physical court complexes leading to denial of access to justice. With basic infrastructural upgrades, like integration of Information and Communication Technologies in courts, it was seen that India was successfully able to shift its courts on the virtual medium with much ease and success. In the long run, implementing AI-based technologies, like machine learning and natural language processing, to restructure the judicial system will help in reducing the arrears and pendency in the court system. But integration of technology in the judiciary raises some fundamental issues, which needs to be addressed beforehand. At the foremost lies the issue of ‘digital-divide’, which is the disparate distribution of affordable technology among the rural and urban populations of the country. Secondly, the issue of language and the rights of the disabled people. And thirdly, the issue of data privacy with regards to the litigants which is perplexing the dynamics of constitutionalism. It is therefore argued that the policy makers should adopt a principled approach to address the perplexing issues of technology-based solution, for long term integration of technology in the Justice Delivery System.
Implementing Time-Series Data Instance for specialized storage resource in oneM2M
Shubham Borghare,JaeSeung Song 한국통신학회 2022 한국통신학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2022 No.2
At present, Machine to Machine (M2M) platform has resources for data storage and manipulation. These resources are defined as containers, flexContainer, contentInstance etc. in it, container resource does not store actual values, child resources of container contentInstance do. As compared to flexContainer, it stores the actual values itself. flexContainer is used when an application needs the current status of the device that is flexContainer allows to update value but container does not allow, containerinstances can either be added or deleted. The flexContainer resource does not support time-series data which require contentInstance, so the flexContainerInstance is a concept to support time-series data to the flexContainer resource.

The present work involves the fabrication and characterization of two different metal/insulator/semiconductor (MIS) structures: Pd/TiO2/Si and Pd/TiO2/SiO2/Si. The TiO2 thin films on the n-type Si <100> substrate were deposited using low-temperature arc vapor deposition process. The electrical characterizations of MIS structures were investigated using capacitance-voltage and current density-voltage measurements. The effects of annealing on the properties of the films were also studied. Furthermore, the structural, surface morphological, and electrical properties of the devices were compared with those obtained using other deposition techniques.
