Cytokinins are essential plant hormones that play crucial roles in various aspects of plant growth and development. To better understand the molecular mechanisms of cytokinin action, we identified cytokinin related proteins by a proteomic approach. Proteins extracted from control and trans-zeatin treated Arabidopsis seedlings were separated and analyzed by two dimensional gel analysis. Differentially expressed protein spots were identified with peptide mass fingerprinting based on matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry and database searching. We obtained ten up-regulated and one down-regulated proteins upon t-zeatin treatment. The expression of the following proteins was induced; pollen allergen like protein, L-ascorbate peroxidase, tetrapyrrole methylase family protein, SGT1 protein homolog, disease resistance related protein, maternal embryogenesis control protein, paxneb related protein, gluthathione S-transferase and IAA amino acid hydrolase homolog.

Complementary DNA encoding chloroplast outer envelope membrane protein (OEP) from the halophyte Salicornia herbacea has been cloned and sequenced. The full length cDNA is 596 bp and encodes a polypeptide of 91 amino acid residues with a molecular mass of 8.9 kDa. The expression level of ShOEP increased by salt, drought and ABA treatments. ShOEP expression was largely induced in roots and shoots by high salts. The biological function of ShOEP was examined by yeast complementation. ShOEP can suppress Na+ sensitivity of yeast mutant (cnbΔ) in the presence of salt. These results suggest that ShOEP is a salt inducible gene and may have functions in the regulation of plant salt stress.

The recovery of iron phosphate involves the addition of oxidizer to oxidize Fe2+ in the spent LiFePO4 (LFP)material to Fe3+ and the agent commonly used is hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Nevertheless, H2O2 has disadvantages ofhigh price, easy decomposition and low utilization efficiency. In this manuscript, a facile method is proposed for efficientsynergistic oxidation of Fe2+ in spent LFP leachate with a mixture of oxygen and ozone. Specifically, we found bythermodynamic computations that the dominant oxidation groups of ozone during oxidation varied with acidity. Theoxidation would produce a large number of iron-phosphate complex groups (Fe3H6(PO4)43+, FeH8(PO4)4 and Fe2HPO44+)in the phosphorus-sulfur mixed acid system, leading to a paradoxical pH drop. The optimized conditions for H2O2 oxidationwere explored. It was determined experimentally that oxidation by gas mixture and O2 belonged to the firstorderand second-order reactions with activation energies of 28.68 kJ/mol and 34.61 kJ/mol, respectively, which wereboth controlled by a mixture of chemical reaction and diffusion. The optimized oxidation method was finally determinedby evaluating the cost and oxidation rate of the oxidizers. The results in this study offer a promising method fornew low-cost and efficient Fe2+ oxidation for industrial production.

Fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) with aberrant expression of microRNA (miRNA) are critical pathogenic regulators in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Previous studies have found that overexpression or silencing of miRNA can contribute to the development of miRNA-based therapeutics in arthritis models. In this study, we explored the effects of miR-27a on cell migration and invasion in cultured FLS from RA patients. We found that miR-27a was markedly downregulated in the serum, synovial tissue, and FLS of RA patients. Meanwhile, the expression of follistatin-like protein 1 (FSTL1) was upregulated, which suggests that FSTL1 plays a key role in RA development. The results of a Transwell assay showed that miR-27a inhibited FLS migration and invasion. However, miR-27a inhibition promoted the migration and invasion of FLS. In addition, the down-regulated expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP2, MMP9, and MMP13) and Rho family proteins (Rac1, Cdc42, and RhoA) was detected after treatment with miR-27a in RA-FLS by quantitative reverse transcription-PCR and western blot analysis. Then, a luciferase reporter assay validated that miR-27a targeted the 3-untranslated region (3'-UTR) of FSTL1. Moreover, miR-27a caused a significant decrease of FSTL1. In addition, the expression of TLR4 and $NF{\kappa}B$ was inhibited by miR-27a but increased by FSTL1 overexpression. In conclusion, we found that miR-27a inhibited cell migration and invasion of RA-FLS by targeting FSTL1 and restraining the $TLR4/NF{\kappa}B$ pathway.

In the previous study (Yuan et al. 2009), a quantitative trait locus (QTL) for grain weight was detected on the short arm of chromosome 5 using an advanced backcross lines (BC3F3) between Hwayeongbye (Oryza sativa) and W1944(Oryza rufipogon Griff.) .For detection of gw5 locus, a line CR6 (BC3F4) was selected and crossed to Hwayeongbyeo produce S1F2 and S1F3 population. And a plant from S1F3 population, carried W1944 homozygous segment for target region at gw5 was crossed to Hwayeong to produce S2F2 population. All these population including some S1F3 lines were grown in the field in 2007, 2008 and 2009, respectively (fig1). Frequency distribution of grain weight followed the Mendelian ratios(3:1) for single locus segregation (Χ2=1.22, 0.76, 1.34 in 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively).In Hwayeongbye genetic background, the W1944 allele at the gw5 locusde creased grain weight, QTL analysis showed that gw5 co-segregated with RM18003 and RM194 (R2=62.7, 69.5 and 37.1% in 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively). Addition, five QTLs plant height, culm length, secondary branch, spikelet number perplant and rationing ability were detected in the region around gw5, in 2008 and 2009. Substitution mapping with 32F3 lines, gw5 QTL was flanked by two SSRmarkers, RM18003 and RM194, in a300kb to 1.7Mb physical distance region,. QTL analysis indicated that 5 others QTLs plant height, culm length, secondary branch, spikelet number per plant and rationing ability were tightly linked.

自20世紀70年代末以來,中國社會處於壹個劇烈變動的轉型期。政治,經濟以及社會的變動給當代中國知識分子帶來了深刻的變化,這壹點在知識分子的政治參與行爲上表現得尤爲突出,具體體現在參與動機,參與形勢以及參與特征的發展與變化之中。除深入闡述這些變化外,本文還試圖對影響知識分子政治參與的因素進行深入分析。 Since the late 1970’s, Chinese society is in the transitional period. The political, economic and social changes has brought about profound changes to the contemporary Chinese intellectuals. The development and change of the political participation behavior which include participation motivation, participation forms and participation characteristics of intellectuals was particularly prominent. And this paper also attempts to carry on in-depth analysis to influence factors of intellectuals’ Political Participation.
