항공기 또는 발사체, 유도무기와 같은 고속비행체의 가압식 연료탱크에는 비행 종단부에서 가속도의 급격한 변화에 따른 연료이송단절 방지와 엔진으로의 기체유입을 차단할 수 있는 특별한 장치가 필요하다. 이러한 측면에서 유체의 표면장력을 이용하여 기체유입을 차단하는 Surface tension screen과 가속도 변화에 영향을 감소시키는 Collector tank가 고안되었다. 본 논문에서는 장치의 성능을 예측하고 영향을 미치는 주요 인자들을 규명한다. 또한 장치에 이용되는 mesh screen의 성능을 예측하고 실험을 통해 결과를 확인 하였다. A special device is required to prevent the disconnection of fuel transfer as rapidly change of acceleration and the inflow of gas to the engine in a pressurized fuel tank. To meet this requirement, the tube using surface tension and Tank for decreasing influence of acceleration was developed. This article predict to the device’s performance and to determine significant factor affecting device’s performance. Analytical study of Mesh screens performance and expreiment of screens performance were conducted.
고장물리에 기반한 고온용 온도센서 솔더접합부의 수명향상연구

Photo lithography is an important step in semiconductor process. This process affects the quality of the semiconductor. In recent report, the failures of solder joint is observed in a short span of time at the equipment carrying out the photo lithography process. One of the failures is fracture due to the condition of solder joints in high temperatures (~230°C). Result of analysis based on Physics-of-Failure confirmed that at high temperatures, excessive stress is generated in the solder joint due to viscoplasticity. For this situation, the failure mechanism of solder joints is assumed to be creep. In this paper, we suggest which solder better for the temperature sensor solder joint at high temperature based on Physics-of-Failure. In addition, we perform the life prediction for 97.5Pb2.5Sn solder. As a result, sintered nano-scale silver paste has longer lifetime than 97.5Pb2.5Sn due to lower stress values at high temperature conditions.
드론과 선박을 동시 활용한 내만에서의 GOCI-II 산출물 검증

위성산출물의 검증은 위성자료를 이용하게 되는 후속 분석작업에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 특히, 탁하고 얕은 수심의 육상 인근 해역에서의 해색산출물은 해수구성입자 분포의 복잡성으로 인하여 오랫동안 그 성능 개선이 이루어지지 않고 있어왔다. 또한, 선박이나 고정관측소를 이용한 검증은 위성산출물과 현저히 차이나는 공간범위로 인하여 명확한 한계점을 노출해왔었다. 본 연구는 우선 선박을 이용한 현장조사를 통해서 천리안해양위성2호(GOCI-II)의 주요 산출물인 원격탐사반사도, 엽록소농도, 총부유물농도, 용존유기물 등에 대한 검증을 수행하였다. 둘째로, 본 연구에서는 드론영상을 이용한 산출물 검증을 위한 초기분석결과를 제시하였다. 선박과 위성사이의 공간범위 차이를 메우기 위하여 각 선박 정점에서 드론에 탑재된 MicaSense RedEdge 카메라를 이용해 해수에 대한 다분광 영상을 획득하였다. 향후 드론을 이용한 위성산출물 검증에 활용되도록 드론 고도에 따른 해수복사휘도의 변화를 분석하였다. 제한된 숫자의 현장조사 자료 개수이지만, 검증결과, 555 nm 에서의 GOCI-II 원격탐사반사도는 약 30% 가량 과대추정 되는 것으로 나타났고, 엽록소농도 및 용존 유기물은 현장 측정값과의 상관도가 낮았다. 총부유물농도는 결정계수 약 0.6의 상관도를 나타내었고 약 20%의 불확도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. Validation of satellite data products is critical for subsequent analysis that is based on the data. Particularly, performance of ocean color products in turbid and shallow near-land ocean areas has been questioned for long time for its difficulty that stems from the complex optical environment with varying distribution of water constituents. Furthermore, validation with ship-based or station-based measurements has also exhibited clear limitation in its spatial scale that is not compatible with that of satellite data. This study firstly performed validation of major GOCI-II products such as remote sensing reflectance, chlorophyll-a concentration, suspended particulate matter, and colored dissolved organic matter, using the in-situ measurements collected from ship-based field campaign. Secondly, this study also presents preliminary analysis on the use of drone images for product validation. Multispectral images were acquired from a MicaSense RedEdge camera onboard a UAV to compensate for the significant scale difference between the ship-based measurements and the satellite data. Variation of water radiance in terms of camera altitude was analyzed for future application of drone images for validation. Validation conducted with a limited number of samples showed that GOCI-II remote sensing reflectance at 555 nm is overestimated more than 30%, and chlorophyll-a and colored dissolved organic matter products exhibited little correlation with in-situ measurements. Suspended particulate matter showed moderate correlation with in-situ measurements (R<sup>2</sup>~0.6), with approximately 20% uncertainty.

<P>Most agricultural traits are controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTLs); however, there are few studies on QTL mapping of horticultural traits in pepper (<I>Capsicum</I> spp.) due to the lack of high-density molecular maps and the sequence information. In this study, an ultra-high-density map and 120 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross between <I>C. annuum</I> ‘Perennial’ and <I>C. annuum</I> ‘Dempsey’ were used for QTL mapping of horticultural traits. Parental lines and RILs were resequenced at 18× and 1× coverage, respectively. Using a sliding window approach, an ultra-high-density bin map containing 2,578 bins was constructed. The total map length of the map was 1,372 cM, and the average interval between bins was 0.53 cM. A total of 86 significant QTLs controlling 17 horticultural traits were detected. Among these, 32 QTLs controlling 13 traits were major QTLs. Our research shows that the construction of bin maps using low-coverage sequence is a powerful method for QTL mapping, and that the short intervals between bins are helpful for fine-mapping of QTLs. Furthermore, bin maps can be used to improve the quality of reference genomes by elucidating the genetic order of unordered regions and anchoring unassigned scaffolds to linkage groups.</P>
Upregulation of autophagy by Ginsenoside Rg2 in MCF-7 cells

<P><B>ABSTRACT</B></P><P>Autophagy is a major intracellular degradation process that plays an important role in cell survival, stress responses, nutrient sensing and development. Our previous studies have shown that Rg2, a triterpenoid saponin contained in ginseng, protects cells against UVB-induced genotoxicity by increasing DNA repair, in possible association with modulation of protein levels involved in p53 pathway. In this study, we determined an upregulation of autophagy by Rg2. Rg2 treatment for 24 h in MCF-7, a breast cancer cell, did not show cytotoxicity up to 200 μM. Rg2 also upregulated the level of p-p53, p-AMPK, p-ACC, Atg-7 and LC3-II and decreased the level of p62 in concentration-dependent manners. We also determined the level of p53, AMPK, p62, Atg-7 and LC3 after UVB exposure and subsequent incubation in growth medium for 24 h. UVB increased the level of p-p53, p-AMPK, p-ACC and decreased the levels of p62, Atg-7 and LC3-II. Interestingly, Rg2 treatment for 24 h after UVB exposure increased the levels of p-p53, p-AMPK, p-ACC, Atg-7 and LC3-II and decreased the level of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer, a UVB-induced DNA damage in concentration-dependent manners. All these results suggest that Rg2 increased autophagy and decreased UVB-induced DNA damage, in possible association with the modulation of protein levels in p53- and autophagic pathways.</P>
