        Computation of Turbulent Flows and Radiated Sound From Axial Compressor Cascade

        The losses at off-design points from a compressor cascade occur due to the deviation from a design incidence angle at the inlet of the cascade. The self-noise from the blade cascade at off-design points comes from a separated boundary layer and vortex sheddings. If the incidence angle to the cascade increases, stalling in blades may occur and the noise level increases significantly. This study applied Large-Eddy Simulations (LES) using deductive and deductive dynamic SGS models to low Mach-number, turbulent flow with each incidence angle to the cascade ranging from -40° to +20°, and compared numerical predictions with measured data. It was observed that the oscillating separation bubbles attached to the suction surface do not modify wake flows dynamically for cases of negative incidence angles. However, an incidence angle greater than 8° caused a separated vortex near the leading edge to be shed downstream and created stalling. The computed performance parameters such as drag coefficient and total pressure loss coefficient showed good agreement with experimental results. Noise from the cascade of the compressor is summarized as sound generated by a structure interacting with unsteady, turbulent flows. The hybrid method using acoustic analogy was observed to closely predict the measured overall sound powers and directivity patterns at design and off-design points of blade cascade.<br/>

        The Moderating Effect of Gain and Loss Framework between Advertisement Uniqueness and Brand Attachment

        The objective of this study is to understand the relationship between type of advertising and brand attachment. We divide advertising frame into loss and gain frame and examine the effect on brand attachment, The effect of unique advertising on brand attachment and the effects of interaction effects on brand attachment were examined. The results showed that the effect of the loss and gain frame on brand attachment was statistically significant. It also showed that unique advertising had positive effect on brand attachment. Moreover, the interaction effects of the advertising frame and the uniqueness of advertising have been shown to affect brand attachment. That is, the more emphasis on gain in advertising frame and the more unique advertising, the more effective on brand attachment.

        불포화 특성을 고려한 투수성 포장 시스템의 침투성 수치해석

        효과적인 도심 홍수 감소 및 물순환 기법 중 하나로 투수성 포장의 적용을 들 수 있다. 도심 물순환 및 방재를 위한 수단으로 투수성 포장의 적용은 국제적으로 점차 확대되고 있는 실정이다. 투수성 포장 내의 침투는 대부분의 경우 불포화 상태에서 시작하나, 현재 투수성 포장재의 흙-수분특성곡선의 산정 및 이를 바탕으로 한 투수성 포장 시스템의 침투성에 대한 연구는 거의 찾아볼 수 없다. 본 연구에서는, 먼저 실내시험을 통해 투수성 포장재의 포화투수계수와 흙-수분특성곡선을 산정하고, 이를 바탕으로 유한요소해석을 통해 강우시 특정 투수성 포장 시스템의 침투특성 및 홍수 저감 효과를 분석하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 실험에 사용된 현장 투수성 콘크리트 시료의 흙-수분특성곡선은, 모관흡입력이 증가함에 따라 공기 유입 후 체적함수비가 상대적으로 급격하게 감소하였다. 유한요소해석 결과로부터, 불투수성 포장과 비교하였을 때, 즉 강우가 침투 없이 바로 유출이 되는 경우와 비교하여, 투수성 포장 시스템의 노반으로 침투가 불가능한 경우에도, 투수성 포장 시스템이 강우의 지표유출을 효과적으로 지체 및 감소시키는 것을 확인하였다. Effective urban flood reduction and restoration of natural water cycle at present include the application of permeable pavements. The application of permeable pavement addresses urban water cycle and disaster related events which gained attention internationally. However, few researches have been conducted to investigate unsaturated behavior and evaluate the water characteristics curves of these type of pavement materials most especially in the unsaturated state. In this study, first the saturated permeability and the soil-water characteristics curve of a pervious concrete are evaluated based on laboratory tests, and, based on experimental results, the infiltration of permeable pavement system is numerically modelled. In the soil-water characteristics curve of a pervious concrete, the volumetric water content drops very steeply after the air entry value with increasing matric suction. From the finite element analyses, the performance of the permeable pavement when compared to impermeable pavement, confirmed that the whole system effectively delayed and reduced runoff.

        Development of Evaluation System for Defense Informatization Level

        There is a description that you cannot manage what you do not measure. The Korea Ministry of National Defense (MND) is conducting evaluations in various fields to obtain meaningful effects from IT investments, and views that the evaluation of the defense informatization sector is divided into defense informatization policy evaluation and defense informatization project evaluation. The defense informatization level evaluation can measure the informatization level of MND and the armed forces or organizations. Since the evaluation system being studied to measure the level of defense informatization is composed mainly of qualitative metrics, it is necessary to reconstruct it based on quantitative metrics that can guarantee objectivity. In addition, for managing the level of change by evaluation objects, the evaluation system should be designed with a focus on homeostasis of metrics so that it can be measured periodically. Moreover, metrics need to be promoted in terms of performance against targets. To this end, this study proposes to measure the level of defense informatization by dividing it into defense information network, computer systems, interoperability and standardization, information security, information environment, and information system use, and suggests their metrics.

        재난상황 시 예비군 긴급대응부대 창설 및 운용방안에 관한 연구

        재난상황하에서는 신속한 지역단위 재난복구를 전문적으로 담당하는 인력이 필요하다. 그러나, 현재의 재난대응체계에서는 대민지원, 자원봉사 등 수준에서 재난복구를 시행하고 있으므로 전문성 부족으로 인한 초기대응 및 재난복구 지연, 재난 지속시 대응 미흡 등 다양한 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 그러므로, 재난상황시 지자체단위 초기 대응능력 구비와 신속히 재난복구를 할 수 있는 전문성을 가진 부대의 창설이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 재난상황하 긴급 재난복구를 통한 지역안정과 재해 주민구호, 재난이전으로의 신속한 전환을 위한 예비군 긴급대응부대를 창설과 운용방안 수준의 방향성을 제시하였다. In the event of a disaster, we need people who specialize in rapid regional disaster recovery. However, in the present disaster response system, disaster relief is carried out at the level of public support, volunteer service, etc. There are various problems such as initial response due to lack of expertise, delays in disaster recovery, and inadequate response to disasters. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a unit with early ability to respond to local governments in the event of a disaster and expertise to enable rapid disaster recovery. Therefore, this study limited the preparation of the reserve forces emergency response units for the direction of local security, disaster relief and disaster relief through emergency disaster recovery under the disaster situation.

      • A Role of Self-Presentation Desire in Online Gaming Community Commitment and Trust of Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games

        As the online game market develops rapidly along with the rapid progress in the internet, the MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games), which allows simultaneous participation of several gamers, market is attracting great attention recently. The behavior of MMORPGs users needs to be considered as the general behavior in online communities since MMORPGs can be categorized as a type of online community. However, the previous studies of online communities did not pay enough attention to MMORPGs where users can express themselves by interacting actively through games and using game avatars. Understanding of the characteristics of MMORPGs as online game communities where users coexist with others in terms of communication and interaction will allow games to be vitalized and users to be immersed in games in a more positive way. Hence, this study examined the impacts of personal innovativeness as a personal characteristic on self-presentation desire, trust of online games, and commitment in online communities through self-presentation theory, identity theory, and social identification theory, considering game design quality and interactivity as physical antecedents of self-presentation desire. The results showed that the interactivity in the spaces of MMORPGs had the biggest impacts on self-presentation, and personal innovativeness game design quality also had some impacts. The results also indicated that self-presentation desire caused trust of online games, and eventually led to even stronger commitments to them.

        Cavitation Mode Analysis of Pump Inducer

        The onset of cavitation causes head and efficiency of a main pump to be reduced significantly and generates vibration and noise. In order to avoid these phenomena, the inlet of the pump is fitted with a special rotor called an inducer, which can operate satisfactorily with extensive cavitation. The motivation of this study is to find out cavitation modes from the inducer inlet pressure signals and event characteristics from outlet ones at various operating conditions. The cavitation modes are analyzed by using a cross-spectral density of fluctuating pressures at the inducer inlet. The time-frequency characteristics of wall pressures downstream of the inducer are presented in terms of event frequency, its duration time, and number of events by using the Choi-Williams distribution.<br/>

      • The Moderating Effect of Reference Group on Online Game Loyalty: Focused on Hedonic Information System

        This study approaches online games from the perspective of the hedonic information system and presents a theoretical model to explain online game acceptance by expanding the study of van der Heijden and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The important variables of this model included perceived usefulness, perceived easiness, and perceived pleasure. Also, we investigate a moderating effect of personal reference group on online game acceptance. The subjects were divided into the high reference group (196 persons) and the low reference group (138 persons) based on the median value of reference group using the SEM(Structural Equation Model) method. An empirical analysis of the subjects found that perceived easiness, perceived pleasure, and perceived usefulness of the game influenced the intent of acceptance and game loyalty in the total group, in that order. On the other hand, comparative research of the two groups based reference group found that the high reference group showed high intent of game acceptance if a game agreed with the subjects’ useful and easy values, even if it was somewhat inconvenient, whilst perceived pleasure of a game was the greatest influencing factor in the low reference group. In addition, in the relationship of intent of acceptance and loyalty, the low reference group showed high loyalty.
