전공역량강화를 위한 시각·영상디자인 교과과정 연구 -광주·호남지역을 중심으로-

본 연구는 창의적인 전문 인력 양성과 전공역량 강화를 위한 대학의 시각·영상디자인 교과과정을 분석하였다. 연구를 위해 광주·호남지역 소재 4년제와 2년제 대학의 2021학년도 교과과정을 조사하였으며, 광주·호남지역과 수도권에 소재한 디자인 전문업체 10곳의 전문교육에 대한 요구도를 조사하였다. 조사 결과 대학의 교과과정은 4년제, 2년제 모두 전문화 된 프로젝트 실습과 심화과정, 탐구영역 등에 비중을 둔 실무디자인 수행역량 교육에 집중하고 있으며, 그 중 출판·그래픽디자인 영역과 영상·디지털콘텐츠디자인 영역에 비중이 높았다. 그러나 디자인 전문업체에서 희망하는 대학의 전문교육은 전공의 이론, 지식 및 기술 습득 과정에 입각한 기초디자인 수행역량에 비중을 둔 교육을 희망하고 있었다. 변화와 융합의 시대에 맞는 전문 산업의 핵심적 역할을 담당하는 전문 시각·영상디자이너의 양성은 전문교육을 담당하는 대학과 전문업체 간의 긴밀한 관계 유지와 협업을 전제로 교육의 내용과 방향은 전공의 역량과 영역에 대한 선택과 집중이 필요하며 이를 탄력적으로 운영할 수 있는 새로운 관점이 필요하다. This study researched the visual communication and film media design curriculums of universities for the cultivation of creative professionals and for the reinforcement of specialized capabilities. For the study, curriculums for 2021 of four-year and two-year universities in Gwangju and Honam regions were investigated along with the demand for professional education of 10 design companies in the Gwangju, Honam, and metropolitan areas. Research showed that the university curriculums of four-year and two-year universities all focus on practical design performance competence education, which places importance on specialized project practice, intensive courses, and research domains and focus was placed particularly on publishing and graphic design domains along with film media and digital content design domains. However, the professional education of universities as desired by design companies was education that focuses on basic design performance capabilities based on the theory, knowledge, and skill acquisition processes of majors. The cultivation of professional visual and video designers, who play a key role in professional industries that suit an era of change and convergence, requires the maintenance of close relationships and collaborations among universities and professional companies in charge of specialized education, and the contents and direction of education need selection and focus with regard to specialized capabilities and domains along with new perspectives that can manage this flexibly.
Analyzing Characteristics of GPS Dual-frequency SPP Techniques by Introducing the L2C Signal

Several experiments were carried out to analyze the impact of the modernized Global Positioning System (GPS) L2C signal on pseudorange-based point positioning. Three dual-frequency positioning algorithms, ionosphere-free linear combination, ionospheric error estimation, and simple integration, were used, and the results were compared with those of Standard Point Positioning (SPP). An analysis was conducted to determine the characteristics of each dual-frequency positioning method, the impact of the magnitude of ionospheric error, and receiver grade. Ionosphere-free and ionospheric error estimation methods can provide improved positioning accuracy relative to SPP because they are able to significantly reduce the ionospheric error. However, this result was possible only when the ionospheric error reduction effect was greater than the disadvantage of these dual-frequency positioning algorithms such as the increment of multipath and noise, impact of uncertainty of unknown parameter estimation. The RMSE of the simple integration algorithm was larger than that of SPP, because of the remaining ionospheric error. Even though the receiver grade was different, similar results were observed.

Protein glycation is vital to aging and disease. However, glycated proteins are low-abundant in plasma, rendering them difficult to identify using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Many studies have analyzed glycated peptides with high reproducibility. Here, glycated peptides in human serum were analyzed by LC-MS/MS using data-dependent acquisition (DDA) and parallel reaction monitoring (PRM). Boronic acid (BA) enrichment of in vitro glycated human serum peptides was performed. BA enrichment identified the most glycated peptides, and the glycated peptides of the more diversified proteins, excluding albumin, were analyzed. In PRM, glycated albumin PSMs were the most common, and this method exhibited the best reproducibility. The results of this study could help compare methods for identifying glycation-related biomarkers.

A phase variation has been reported in an entomopathogenic bacterium, Xenorhabdus nematophila. Compared to a wild type primary form, a secondary form usually lose several physiological and biochemical characters. This study showed that the phase variation of X. nematophila caused a significant alteration in its immunosuppressive activity and subsequent entomopathogenicity. A secondary form of X. nematophila was detected in laboratory colonies and exhibited significant differences in dye absorption and entomopathogenicity. In addition, the secondary form was different in production of eicosanoid-biosynthesis inhibitors (EBIs) compared to the primary form of X. nematophila. Production of oxindole and p-hydroxypropionic acid was significantly reduced in the culture broth of the secondary form of X. nematophila. The reduced EBI production resulted in significant suppression in the inhibitory effects on a cellular nodule formation and phenoloxidase activity. Culture broth of the primary form of X. nematophila significantly more enhanced the pathogenicity of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) than the culture broth of the secondary form. Furthermore, this study developed a high efficient ‘Dual Bt-Plus’ to control both lepidopteran insect pests of Plutella xylostella and Spodoptera exigua by mixing two effective Bt strains along with the addition of potent bacterial metabolites or 100-fold concentrated X. nematophila culture broth.

An entomopathogenic bacterium, Xenorhabdus nematophila, secretes at least eight bacterial metabolites, which have suppressive effects on insect immunity. This study quantified their sequential production during bacterial growth and analyzed their individual immunosuppressive activities against an insect host, Spodoptera exigua. X. nematophila exhibited a typical bacterial growth in both insect host and culture medium, in which eight metabolites were secreted in different time points. At early growth phase (6 to 12 h), Ac-FGV, Cis-cPY, PHPP and indole metabolites were detected in the culture broth. During early growth phase, PHPP was highly potent to inhibit phenoloxidase activity as well as nodule formation. At late growth phase (24 to 48 h), BZA, HPA, PY were detected at 10 – 140 ppm in the culture broth, their metabolites were highly potent to inhibit phospholipase A2 and to induce cytotoxicity to hemocytes. These results suggest that X. nematophila sequentially produces the immune suppressive metabolites, which cooperatively inhibit different steps of insect immune responses.
