        콘돔광고의 시각적 은유 효과에 관한 연구

        영상에서 메시지를 전달하기 위해 쓰이는 은유적 표현은 소비자가 자신의 경험이나 지식에 비추어 해석하기 때문에 다양한 의미를 가지고, 사람들의 의식 속에 강하게 자리 잡는다. 정보를 해석하는 과정에서 사람들이 즐거움을 경험하게 되고 그들이 성공적으로 이해했을 때 광고에 대한 선호도가 증가한다. 이전부터 인쇄광고에서의 은유적 표현이나 광고에서의 은유적 표현에 대한 이해도, 공익광고의 은유성 등 많은 실증연구가 실행되어져 왔다. 그 중 대부분의 연구들이 브랜드의 인지도에 대해서는 인지도가 높은 브랜드를 사용한다는 전제로 삼고 연구를 진행하였다. 하지만 은유적 표현이 효과적으로 전달되었을 때 소비자가 제품을 선택하는 데에 있어서 브랜드의 영향이 큰지에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 광고에서의 은유적 표현에 대한 선행연구를 조사하였으며, 가설은 다음과 같이 설정하였다. “광고에서 전달하는 메시지가 은유적인 방법으로 소비자에게 효과적으로 전달 될 때, 브랜드 인지도가 소비자에게 끼치는 영향은 낮다”이다. 연구결과 응답자에게 브랜드를 공개하지 않고 선택을 했을 때는 Zazoo의 광고를 선택한 사람이 Okamoto의 제품을 선택한 사람보다 더 높은 응답률을 보였으나 실질적으로 제품의 선택에 미치는 영향은 브랜드에 대한 믿음과 인지도가 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 결국 이 연구에서는 소비자가 광고를 보았을 때 메시지가 효과적으로 전달된다면 브랜드에 대한 호감도는 상승할지 모르나 제품을 선택하는 것에 큰 영향을 주지 못한다는 것을 검증하였다. Metaphorical expressions made for delivery a message in an video are interpreted differently depending on consumers’ experiences and knowledge. For this reason, they have various meanings and strongly remain in people’s consciousness. In the course of interpreting information, people experience pleasure. When they successfully understand it, their preference for its advertisement is also increased. A lot of empirical studies have long been conducted on metaphorical expressions in printed advertisements, on the understanding of metaphoric expressions in advertisements, and on metaphors of public service advertisements. In terms of brand awareness, most of them have been performed on the assumption that brands with high awareness are used. Nevertheless, it is necessary to research how influential brands are on consumers’ choice of products when metaphorical expressions are effectively delivered. In this study, related works of metaphorical expressions in advertisements were analyzed. A hypothesis was established as follows: “when a message to be delivered by an advertisement is effectively delivered to consumers metaphorically, the influence of brand awareness on consumers is low.” According to the study, when brands were not open to questionnaire survey respondents, the persons who selected an advertisement of Zazoo outnumbered the persons who selected that of Okamoto. Actually, however, brand trust and brand awareness more highly influenced their product choice. In conclusion, this study revealed that if a message of an advertisement is effectively delivered to consumers, consumers’ preference for its related brand is increased, but the effective delivery does not greatly influence their product choice.

        Improved Scalar Multiplication on Elliptic Curves Defined over F<sub>2<sup>mn</sup></sub>

        We propose two improved scalar multiplication methods on elliptic curves over qn F where q = 2m using Frobenius expansion. The scalar multiplication of elliptic curves defined over subfield q F can be sped up by Frobenius expansion. Previous methods are restricted to the case of a small m. However, when m is small, it is hard to find curves having good cryptographic properties. Our methods are suitable for curves defined over medium-sized fields, that is, 10 ≤ m ≤ 20. These methods are variants of the conventional multiple-base binary (MBB) method combined with the window method. One of our methods is for a polynomial basis representation with software implementation, and the other is for a normal basis representation with hardware implementation. Our software experiment shows that it is about 10% faster than the MBB method, which also uses Frobenius expansion, and about 20% faster than the Montgomery method, which is the fastest general method in polynomial basis implementation.

        Fabrication of anode supports for solid oxide fuel cells using nickel carbonate as a pore former

        A method of fabricating NiO-YSZ (yttria stabilized zirconia) anode substrates was developed using a new pore former, i. e. nickel carbonate NiCO3 • 2Ni(OH)2 • 4H2O, which enables both the shrinkage and porosity, which must be compatible with the that of the electrolyte film and sufficient for the fuel supply and exhaust, respectively, to be easily tailored. In particular, the successful use of nickel carbonate as a pore former, instead of the previously used pore formers, such as graphite, carbon black, and polymer beads, suggests that other zirconium or nickel compound derivatives have the potential to be used as pore formers.

        We present a powder injection molding technique of fabricating cemented tungsten carbide(WC) balls for milling and dispersing nano-powder in this paper. The conventional powder metallurgy approach is investigated to reveal its drawbacks of density non-homogeneity. New procedures of powder injection molding for the homogeneous high-precision WC balls, involving the binding process, powder injection molding process and sintering process, are presented in detail. Each process is investigated empirically and numerically to obtain its engineering information, which can used for process optimization.

      • Event-Driven Social Media : Crowd Computing System Development for Idioculture Generation

        This study focuses on event-driven social media (EDSM), which supports the production of unique cultural items of small groups by satisfying the conflicting desires of distinctiveness and assimilation that small groups possess. EDSM is a system which promotes the production of idioculture through small group interaction by using an actual event in which people participate in small groups. By setting up an EDSM system in a university festival in which 10,000 to 15,000 people gather in small groups, idioculture production was tested for approximately eight hours and a half. Interaction records gathered from the test, as well as focus group interview data garnered soon after were used to analyze usage patterns of EDSM, types of idiocultures produced, and resulting factors of user experience. Through this, considerations upon designing future EDSM were proposed.

        DACS는 우주에서 Kill Vehicle을 정밀 기동시키는 추진장치이다. DACS 내열부품은 2500℃, 2500psi 수준의 가혹한 작동조건에서 비삭마, 내열 내산화성이 보증되어야 한다. 추력기내의 비례제어형 고온가스밸브는 구동 핀틀/노즐, 밸브바디로 구성되며 레늄계 금속, C/SiC와 같은 세라믹복합재 또는 금속/복합재 복합형 설계를 적용한다. 특히 고성능 DACS를 구현하기 위해 연소온도가 2500℃이상으로 증가하는 경향 때문에 내열성과 구조적성질을 가진 물질과 공정이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 이들 재료는 국내에서 거의 구현되어 본적이 없는 요구되는 분야로서 산학연의 협력연구가 필요하다. DACS is propulsion package maneuvering kill vehicle in space. Hot gas components of DACS shall be operable under extreme environments of temperature 2500℃ and pressure 2500psi, ensuring non-erosion and heat and oxidation resistance. Proportionally controlled hot gas valve including actuated pintle, nozzle and valve body are made of rhenium metal, ceramic composites like C/SiC or metal/composite combinations. More heat capable materials above 2500℃ and new processes are needed to meet high performance DACS propulsions. Not activated this area, intensive cooperation is needed.

      • An Innovation Theory of End-User Computing

        EUC appears to be metamorphosing into a truly organizational computin environment where "every person is their own programmer"[Suttle, 1969]. Trends in hardware, software, and organizational computing maturity all contribute to the rapidly changing nature of end users and end user computing. Research in EUC innovation must contend with shifting computational sophistication of organizations, developments of new technologies that supercede their last research technology, and increasing integration of products that makes differentiation of product boundaries difficult. In 2000, most office workers in organizations will have their own machines, will be hooked to at least one network, and will access both personal and organizationally hooked to at least one network, and will access both personal and organizationally critical data. An increasing number of people will develop their own applications, and application development will become one more work activity for most white-collar and management jobs. These people will no longer be classified as "end users" because they will be significantly more sophisticated in computer use than that label implies. Personal computers, local area networks, office information systems, and other technologies have fueled the development of end user computing. These technologies were used during this decade by early adopter organizations who did not wait for all of the desired integration, ease of use, and functionality to use the technologies. Rathe, the users of the'80's became a market that has driven the development of other desirable capabilities. The decade of the 1990's will be one of adoption by the masses, in this case, white collar professionals. Then, in the first decade of the new century, clerical workers will again see their jobs transformed as thdy were in the 1970's, and executives might finally get to use the promised developments in artificial intelligence, expert systems, and executive decision systems. The model presented in the previous section is sufficiently complex to provide a research agenda for at least one entire career. Multiple methodlogies, longitudinal studies, and triangulation of results using different statistical and methodological techniques are all required. In addition, there is a final issue to consider. One assumption of all IS and innovation research is that the innovations are inherently useful, desirable, and good. Further extension of innovation theory and the model presented above is required to consider what should be automated, who benefits, and whether or not are real benefits gained from the use of EUC computing technologies. The implications for educators are more and different courses for the non-IS student. Introductory coures should include segments on application development, testing, security and backup to prepare the work-force for these responsibilities. Data base courses, for instance, might be less technical and available to non-IS majors. Courses with technical content should of course continue to be required of IS people. For organizations, self-examination is required for senior executives to decide if, and when, they want to support the use of information technologies, and which technologies to support. Education on IS and its enabling capabilities may be required to take advantage of the technologies in their own organizations.
