        The chemical fixation of carbon dioxide by hydrogenation over supported Ni catalysts was studied using an atmospheric pressure flow reactor. The mole ratio of carbon dioxide and hydrogen as a reactants was 1:4. The effect of reaction and reduction temperature, loading amount, and support type was examined to the catalytic activity. Also, the physico-chemical properties of catalyst were investigated by XRD(X-ray diffractometer), H₂-TPR(temperature programmed reduction) and NH₃-TPD(temperature programmed desorption). The conversion of CO₂and the selectivity of CH₄were increased with increasing of the reaction and reduction temperature, loading amount, and decreasing of the support acidity.

      • LC 공진형 PWM 인버터를 이용한 X선 발생장치의 특성에 관한 연구

        The conventional types of X-ray generators were bulky in physical size and heavy in weight, and the control accuracies of the output voltages were not always satisfactory. The high frequency switching inverter and converter technology on power conversion and control systems have been greatly closed up introducing power semiconductor devices. In this paper, the newly developed converter to take the balance of the output voltage versus the ground are also presented in detail to decreasing the volume and the weight of high voltage transformer and to stabilize ripple. This converter consists of the two independent L-C series resonant circuits using the two capacitances and the two primary windings of high voltage transformer.

      • 인버터식 X-선장치의 맥동률에 따른 출력특성 연구

        This paper deals with the output characteristics of resonant PWM inverter type X-ray generators connected to different DC power units i.e, a single phase full bridge rectifier. a three phase full bridge rectifier and a power storage unit(PSU). The quality of X-ray beam depends on the pulsating waveforms of DC voltage supplied to the X-ray tube. In a X-ray generator, the waveform of DC output voltage can be affected from harmonic distortion of DC input power. When a tube voltage waveform is distorted, the property of X-ray beam such as reproducibility, linearity and dose can be reduced. Therefore, this paper compared DC output waveforms and dose with three type of DC power units and show the experimental results in this paper.

        Single-Phase diode rectifiers are widely used in industry. These rectifier, however, generate many harmonic components in the AC Power line and have the poor input power factor, which may create a power quality problem for other electrical apparatus in the vicinity of the rectifier. Power factor improvement and harmonic reduction in the AC line current have become very significant problems in single-phase diode rectifiers. In this paper, the high power factor boost converter using soft switching is proposed to improve the demerit. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed system.

      • 성인 급성 부고환염에서 Nested PCR에 의한 Chlamydia trachomatis의 검출

        연구목적 : 성교가능 성인남자의 급성 부고환염에서 Chlamydia trachomatis가 차지하는 빈도를 Nested PCR을 통해 검출하여 보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 1996년 9월부터 1999년 2월까지 본 충북대학교 병원 비뇨기과 외래 및 응급실을 내원하여 급성 부고환염으로 진단된 환자 중 성교가능 성인남자 28명을 대상으로 하여 환자로부터 얻은 뇨검체로 일반 미생물 배양검사, 그람염색검사 및 Chlamydia PCR을 시행하였다. 결과 : 급성 부고환염으로 진단된 28명의 평균 연령은 30.9±12.4세 였으며 총 28명중 17명 (60.7%)에서 Nested PCR 검사에 양성으로 나타났으며 연령별로는 20대가 10명중 7명(70%)으로 가장 높은 양성율을 보였다. 그람염색도말 결과 28명중에서 6명(21%)이 비임균성 요도염에 양성을 나타냈으며 또한 일반 미생물 배양 검사 결과 2명에서 균이 자랐는데, 각각 S. epididermidis와 E. coli였다. 결론 : PCR을 통한 Chlamydia trachomatis의 검출이 지금까지 행해진 다른 검사 방법들에 비해 월등하게 민감도가 높으며 성접촉이 가능한 연령의 성인 남자가 급성 부고환염 증세로 내원시 기본적으로 PCR을 통한 Chlamydia trachomatis 검출 검사를 시행하여 적절한 치료가 이루어지는 것이 중요할 것이다. Purpose : We studied the incidence of Chlamydial epididymitis in sexually active male with acute epididymitis by the Nested polymerase chain reaction( PCR ). Materials and Methods: Urine specimens, collected from 28 patients that was 30.9±12.4 years old and presented with acute epididymitis, were tested for the presence of Chlamydia trachomatis by the Nested PCR and for other bacteria by the urine gram stain and culture. Results: Out of total 28 patients, 17 patients(60.7% ) showed positive for Chlamydia trachomatis by the Nested PCR. In thirtieth decade, 7 of 10 patients(70%) showed positive, revealed the highest incidence. 6 patients(21%) showed positive for other bacteria by the urine culture. Conclusion: Detection rate of Chlamydia trachomatis by the Nested PCR was higher than other current diagnostic technique. For the high incidence of Chlamydial epididymitis, all men with acute epididymitis should undergo Chlamydia trachomatis evaluation for adequate treatement of this infection.

      • 급성 담낭염에 대한 내과적 치료의 역할

        In 58 patients who were admitted to department of internal medicine, ChungNam national university hospital from January 1989 to March, 1993. We evaluated for medical treatments and the following results were obtained. 1) The ratio of male and female was 1 : 1 and mean age of the patients was 57.4 years. 2) At arrival on hospital, the most common clinical symptom was pain in right upper quadrant and epigastrium(93.1%), the remainders were fever and chill(79.3%), nausea(51.7%) and vomiting(36.2 %) in order of frequency. 3) The most common physical findings was tenderness on the right upper quadrant and epaigastrium(98%), the remainders were jaundice(50%) and palpable gall bladder(13.8%) in order of freguency. 4) In laboratory examination, elevated levels of ESR(82.8%), leukocytosis(67.2%), elevated levels of AST(62.0%), ALT(50.0%), serum total bilirubin(51.7%) and alkaline phosphatase (43.1%) were noted. 5) The mean period of NPO was 3.9 days and the mean hospital period was 13.5 days. 6) The rates of combined complications in patients with acute cholecystitis were 17.2%; these are gall bladder empyema(5.2%), hydrops(5.2%), perforation(3.4%), sepsis(3.4%) and intestinal obstruction (1.7%). 7) In 96.6 percent of 58 cases, the symptoms of acute cholecystitis were improved by conservative management. 8) The mean follow-up period was 25.5 months and the recurrence rate was 10% during this period.

        멀티 선회류식 세정장치를 이용한 고효율 하이브리드 VOCs 습식처리 SYSTEM 개발

        본 연구에서는 환경기초시설과 정유공장, 도장시설 등에서 발생하는 악취 및 휘발성 유기화합물(VOCs: Volatile Organic Compounds)을 처리하는데 주로 사용되는 RTO와 RTO를 대체할 수 있는 중저가의 고효율 처리기술을 개발하고자 하였다. toluene, xylene, benzene, MEK, ethanol, hydrogen sulfide, formalin 등을 처리대상 VOCs와 악취물질로 선정하고 처리방식은 1차로 선회류식 세정장치를 이용하여 친수성의 악취 및 VOCs를 제거하고 2차로 섬유상 바이오필터를 이용하여 친수성 VOCs 뿐만 아니라 소수성 VOCs를 모두 효율적으로 처리하는 하이브리드 기술을 개발하는 동시에 VOCs 처리장치의 크기를 컴팩트하게 하는데 주안점을 두었다. 선회류식 세정장치에서 첩족시간을 2~3초로하고 세정수를 비격막식 전해수로 사용하였을 때 친수성 VOCs 물질인 ethanol과 상대적으로 친수성 악취물질인 hydrogen sulfide는 각각 95~99%, 93~97%로 거의 완벽하게 제거되었다. 또한 MEK, formalin의 처리효율은 각각 78~90%, 72~85%로 높은 제거효과를 나타내었다. 반면에 소수성 물질인 toluene, xylene, benzene에 대한 선회류식 세정장치의 처리효율은 각각 16~22%, 12~18%, 8~16%으로 낮게 나타났다. 하지만 일정한 처리효율을 계속 유지함을 확인할 수 있었다. 섬유상 바이오필터는 toluene의 경우 초기에는 처리효율이 좋지 않았지만 순응기간인 7~10일정도가 지난 이후부터는 미생물 분해처리를 통해 70% 이상의 제거율을 보였으나 이후 85~95%의 처리효율을 보였다. 하지만 MEK가 혼합된 단계에서는 5~10%정도의 처리효율 감소경향을 나타내었는데 이는 미생물들이 처리하기 쉬운 MEK를 우선 처리하는 성향때문이라고 사료된다. MEK에 대한 섬유상 바이오필터의 처리효율은 80~92%로 안정적인 처리효율을 보였다. 경제성 측면에서도 소각방법인 RTO 대비 시설비 및 유지관리비를 절감할 수 있어 중, 저가 VOCs 처리기술로 각광받을 것으로 사료된다. We studied to develop high-efficiency removal system of odor and VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds) from environmental infrastructure facilities and oil refineries, painting facilities and so on. It can replace RTO and RCO. We tried an removal experiment for VOCs (toluene, xylene, benzene, MEK(methyl ethyl ketone), ethanol, formalin etc. and odor compounds (hydrogen sulfide, etc.). In process, as pre-treatment we used the scrubber with vortex flow (Multi-scrone) to remove the hydrophilic VOCs and as post-treatment, used fibrous bio-filter to remove the hydrophobic VOCs. This hybrid system remove with high efficiency both the hydrophilic VOCs and hydrophobic VOCs. And we tried to make this system to be compact. In experiment using Multi-scrone, contact time is 2~3 seconds and absorption scrubbing water is diaphragm-type electrolysis water. hydrophilic VOCs like ethanol and relatively hydrophilic odor compounds like hydrogen sulfide is excellent, these substances has been removed almost completely, respectively 95~99%, 93~97%. And for MEK, formalin also Showed a high removal efficiency, respectively 78~90%, 72~85%. But in experiment using Multi-scrone, the hydrophobic VOCs like BTX showed a low removal efficiency, respectively 16~22%, 12~18%, 8~16%. In hydrophobic VOCs, toluene removal experiment using fibrous bio-filter, early efficiency was low but after 10days, adaptation period showed high efficiency 85~95%. but in the mixed phase, toluene and MEK efficiency reduced 5~10%. this show microorganism treat first MEK easy to remove. The removal efficiency for MEK using the fibrous bio-filter was stable, 80~92%. This hybrid system is also high economical efficiency for RTO. This system reduce more than 50% the cost of equipment and maintenance. As a result, we expect this technology is in the limelight as high efficiency treatment of VOCs in mid-low price.

      • A Study of the Application of DNP/RTU in Power SCADA System

        KEPCO started it's adoption from 1980. At that time RTU(Remote Terminal Unit)'s capacity is 250 point but after that unmaned substation and automation of field's equipment operation is wide-spread. It requires over 1000 points per 1 substation RTU's capacity, so the electric-power equipment for control cable increases abundant and oversize in RTU. Also to be caused by in speed and data process delay. it felt a limit in the electric-power equipment operation for a high reliability and the new thing was demanded. To solve this problem we developed DNP RTU. The special feature this system is that each module contains within 10 points, is located in the electric. This system saves human power and material s loss, remote management, itself diagnosis ability, control-cable and RTU's space. This makes reduce human accident, improves electric equipment's operation environment.
