Task schedulduling algorithm is very important in the application of Distributed Computing System and Multiprocessor System because it determines the execution time of task graph. In this paper, we propose new heuristic task scheduling algorithm based on join-node, and compare the performance of proposed algorithm with the previous work using critical path.

The purpose of this study is to substitute water-based painting materials for the current solvent-based ones used in motor-repairing process to minimize the exposure of organic solvents to the painters. This study assessed the exposure of organic solvents to the painters using water-based and solvent-based painting materials and compared compositions, painting processes and the health hazards of the application of these alternative painting materials. The results of this study are as follows. 1. solvent-based painting materials used in motor-repairing process consist of various organic solvents, which consist primarily of toluene, xylene, ethyl benzene, ethyl methyl bezene, trimethyl bezene, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, methyl isobutyl ketone, 2-ethoxy ethanol, 2-ethoxy ethyl acetate and toluene-2.4-diisocianate and the others. These organic solvents are know as health-hazardous substances. But water-based painting materials are high-solid, low-solvent ones and consist of such two organic solvents as 2-butoxy ethanol and 2-heptanone and the others. 2. The painters using solvent-based painting materials in motor-repairing process are exposed to various organic acetate, methyl isobutyl ketone, trimethyl benzene, 2-ethoxy ethanol, and 2-ethoxy ethyl acetate. But the painters using solvent-based ones are only exposed to 2-butoxy ethanol and 2-heptanone. 3. By using water-based painting materials in stead of solvent-based painting materials containing health-hazardous organic solvents, the exposure of such organic solvents in the painter's breathing zone can be largely prevented. 4. This study recommends water-based painting materials as substitutes for the current solvent-based ones used in motor-repairing process to minimize the exposure of organic solvents to the painters.

In order to investigate low frequency swishing noise of wind turbines, singularity in circular motion with large radius is introduced as a noise source model. By employing Lowson’s acoustic analogy, simple exact solution is obtained. The solution shows that time histories of acoustic pressure at receiver points varied significantly according to receiver’s directional location, even when the retarded time distributions are similar. However, the corresponding spectra of sound pressure for the receiver locations where the retarded time distributions are almost the same are not significantly different. It can be inferred from these results that the time-averaged sound pressure spectra which cannot take into account the detailed difference in the time-variation of wind turbine noise may not represent the sound quality of wind turbines due to its swishing.

Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response, with manifestations in multiple organs by pathogenic infection. Currently, there are no promising therapeutic strategies. Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is a cell signaling transcription factor. Niclosamide is an anti-helminthic drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a potential STAT3 inhibitor. C57BL/6 mice were treated with an intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Niclosamide was administered orally 2 hours after the LPS injection. This study found that Niclosamide improved the survival and lung injury of LPS-induced mice. Niclosamide decreased the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and interleukin-1β (IL-1β), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in serum. The effects of Niclosamide on phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), AKT, nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), and STAT3 signaling pathways were determined in the lung tissue by immunoblot analysis. Niclosamide reduced phosphorylation of PI3K, AKT, NF-κB, and STAT3 significantly. Furthermore, it reduced the phosphorylation of STAT3 by LPS stimulation in RAW 264.7 macrophages. Niclosamide also reduced the LPS-stimulated expression of proinflammatory mediators, including IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-1β. Niclosamide provides a new therapeutic strategy for murine sepsis models by suppressing the inflammatory response through STAT3 inhibition.

요한복음에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 죽으심은 다양한 의미를 내포하고 있다. 그것은 예수 그리스도의 영광의 드러냄 이고, 다른 이들을 위한 희생이다. 또한 친구들을 위한 사랑의 행동이며, 공동체 내에서 섬김의 본이다. 그것은 성전의 갱신과 세상의 심판을 의미하며, 성령 강림과 열매 맺음의 전제조건이다. 예수 그리스도의 죽으심은 유대 지도자들과의 갈등의 결과인 한편, 하나님의 뜻이자 그 뜻에 대한 예수 그리스도의 자발적 순종의 결과이며, 성경의 성취이기도 하다. 그것은 또한 예수 그리스도의 사명의 완수요 아버지께 돌아가는 것이기도 하다. 약간의 학자들은 요한복음에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 죽으심에 대한 다양한 의미를 연구하는데 데 기여했지만 그 범위는 제한적이었고, 많은 학자들은 이분법적 이해(영광의 신학 또는 고난의 신학)에 집중했다. 따라서 어떤 의미에서 그들의 연구는 제 4복음서에 나타나는 예수의 죽으심에 대한 여러 의미에 합당한 비중을 부여하며 모든 측면을 고려하지는 못했다. 본 연구는 요한복음에 나타난 예수의 죽으심에 있어 상대적으로 무시된 측면들도 함께 살피며 다의성을 밝혀 지금까지의 요한복음에 묘사된 예수 그리스도의 죽으심에 관한 연구에 있어서 부족했던 틈을 메우고자 한다. 음악에 비교하자면 제4복음서에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 죽으심의 여러 의미는 다양한 소리와 톤이 하모니를 이루는 오케스트라의 심포니와 같다. 따라서 그 소리들의 일부만을 받아들이며 다른 것들은 무시하기 보다는 모든 소리를 합당한 화음 속에서 들어야 한다. 미술에 비교하면 예수 그리스도의 죽으심의 의미는 단색화가 아니라 여러 색이 덧입혀진 채색화 또는 모자이크와 같다. 모든 색과 소리가 예수 그리스도의 죽으심의 풍성한 의미를 이해하는데 기여하며 세상을 향해 전하는 하나님의 아름답고 감동적인 사랑 이야기의 구성에 참여한다. 그러한 다의성이 충분히 고려될 때 요한복음에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 죽으심 담겨있는 풍성한 의미의 이해는 더 증진될 것이다. While scholars contribute to an understanding of various aspects of the death of Jesus in the Gospel of John, their consideration is limited to some aspects. On one hand, many have been preoccupied by one of the typical dichotomies in understanding the death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel: theology of glory (glorification) or theology of cross (sacrifice). In a sense, they have failed to take all aspects of the death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel into account, not giving proper weight to them as they appear in the Gospel. This study attempts to fill the gap by addressing the many aspects of the death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel which have been relatively neglected by scholars. The death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel has multiple layers of meaning. The death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel is a revelation of glory of Jesus and his sacrifice for others and it is also an act of love for friends, and an example of service in community. The death of Jesus entails renewal of the temple and judgment of the world, and is the prerequisite for the coming of the Holy Spirit and the bearing of fruit. While it results from conflict with Jewish leaders, it also flows from God’s will and Jesus’ obedience and is the fulfillment of the Scripture. It represents the completion of Jesus’ mission and his return to the Father. One helpful comparison is to music, because the meaning of the death of Jesus in the Fourth Gospel is like the sound of an orchestra in which various tones and notes are played in harmony. All the contributing sounds should be heard more in harmony, rather than exaggerating some while neglecting others. All the sounds contribute to the presentation of the meaning of the death of Jesus, which is the beautiful and impressive story that comes out of God’s love for the world.
