        Synthesis of PZT Nanotubes and Its Nanometer-Scale Shape Modification with an Electron-Beam Irradiation

        We report a template-directed growth of Pb(Zr$_{x}$,Ti$_{1-x}$)O$_{3}$ (PZT) nanotubes in conjunction with sol-gel process and spin coating technique and its shape modification with an electron-beam (e-beam) irradiation. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and field emission transmission electron microscope (FETEM) images show that PZT nanotubes are successfully synthesized. Their outer diameters and lengths are estimated to be 50 nm and several micrometers, respectively. PZT nanotubes exhibit a high aspect-ratio (up to 400) with diameters of ~50 nm and lengths of ~20 $\mu$m. The occurrence of electron diffraction ring patterns confirms that the typical PZT nanotubes are polycrystalline. The high-intensity e-beam is used to modify the shape of a PZT nanotube forming a nanohook. FETEM images of the nanohook formation process shows that the e-beam irradiation can be used to form the PZT nanotubes into desired shapes. .

        외국인 유학생의 대학교육참여동기가 만족과 추천의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to propose a plan to inspire positive recommendations for international students who are preparing to study in Korea in the future through the motivation of participating in education in the current study abroad life in Korea. Therefore, the motivation for participation in education is classified as major factors for positive recommendation, and the relationship between each factor's influence on satisfaction and recommendation intention is verified. In addition, the purpose of this study is to suggest a way to secure the competitiveness of universities to attract foreign students through the differentiation of motivation for participation in education. In order to achieve the research purpose, theoretical basis was prepared through domestic and foreign literatures and previous researches, and based on this, a research model and research hypothesis were established. 300 valid questionnaires were collected from Chinese students studying in 4-year universities in Busan City and were finally used for the empirical analysis including demographic analysis, validity and reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis that were performed by the statistical program SPSS Ver 26.0, to verify the hypothesis. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. The educational content, educational environment, and teaching ability of the motivation to participate in university education were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on satisfaction, and satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on recommendation intention. In addition, it was found that the educational content, educational environment, and teaching ability of the motivation to participate in university education had a significant positive (+) effect on recommendation intention. Therefore, Hypothesis 1, Hypothesis 2, and Hypothesis 3 were all adopted. The implications of the results of the empirical analysis of this study are as follows. First, in order to attract foreign students, domestic universities should not have a tendency to be biased toward specific factors of participation in college education, and continuous efforts are required to inspire satisfaction of various factors in participation in college education. Second, it’s necessary to actively seek out solutions to inspire the satisfaction of foreign students with their motivation to participate in university education in various ways, such as improving the dormitory environment for international students, deploying administrative staff in charge of international students, and developing programs to adapt to university life. Third, domestic universities should continue to pay attention to various factors related to the motivation of participating in university education that foreign students encounter in their university life. 본 연구는 현재 국내의 유학생활에 대한 교육참여동기를 통해 향후 한국유학을 준비하고 있는 유학생들에게 긍정적 추천을 고취시키는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이에 교육참여동기를 긍정적 추천을 위한 주요 요인으로 분류하여 각각의 요인이 만족과 추천의도에 영향 관계를 검증한다. 또한 교육참여동기의 차별성을 통해 외국인 유학생 유치를 위한 대학의 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 국내외 문헌과 선행연구를 통해 이론적 근거를 마련하고 이를 토대로 연구모형 및 연구가설을 설정하여 부산광역시에 소재한 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생을 대상으로 300부의 유효 설문자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 설문자료의 실증분석은 통계프로그램 SPSS Ver 26.0를 이용하여 인구통계학적 분석, 타당도와 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 가설검증을 실시하였다. 실증분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 대학교육참여동기의 교육내용, 교육환경, 교수능력은 만족에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 있는 것으로 나타났고, 만족은 추천의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 대학교육참여동기의 교육내용, 교육환경, 교수능력은 추천의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 가설 1, 가설 2, 가설 3은 모두 채택되었다. 본 연구의 실증분석의 결과가 갖는 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외국인 유학생 유치를 위해 국내 대학들은 대학교육참여요인의 특정 요인에 편중되는 성향을 가져서는 안되며, 다양한 대학교육참여요인의 만족을 고취하기 위한 지속적인 노력이 요구된다. 둘째, 국내대학은 외국인 유학생의 대학교육참여동기에 대한 만족을 고취시키기 위해 유학생 기숙사의 환경개선, 유학생 전담 행정직원 배치, 대학생활 적응을 위한 프로그램 개발 등 다양한 방면에서 유학생의 만족도를 고취시킬 수 있는 방안을 적극적으로 모색해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 국내 대학들은 외국인 유학생이 대학생활에서 접하게 되는 대학교육참여동기와 관련한 다양한 요인에도 지속적으로 신경을 써야 할 것이다.

        The Effectiveness of a Probabilistic Principal Component Analysis Model and Expectation Maximisation Algorithm in Treating Missing Daily Rainfall Data

        The reliability and accuracy of a risk assessment of extreme hydro-meteorological events are highly dependent on the quality of the historical rainfall time series data. However, missing data in a time series such as this could result in lower quality data. Therefore, this paper proposes a multiple-imputation algorithm for treating missing data without requiring information from adjoining monitoring stations. The proposed imputation algorithms are based on the M-component probabilistic principal component analysis model and an expectation maximisation algorithm (MPPCA-EM). In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the MPPCA-EM imputation algorithm, six distinct historical daily rainfall time series data were recorded from six monitoring stations. These stations were located at the coastal and inland regions of the East-Coast Economic Region (ECER) Malaysia. The results of analysis show that, when it comes to treating missing historical daily rainfall time series data recorded from coastal monitoring stations, the 2-component probabilistic principal component analysis model and expectation-maximisation algorithm (2PPCA-EM) were found to be superior to the single- and multiple-imputation algorithms proposed in previous studies. On the contrary, the single-imputation algorithms as proposed in previous studies were superior to the MPPCA-EM imputation algorithms when treating missing historical daily rainfall time series data recorded from inland monitoring stations.

        Local Brand Love Based On Product, Price, Promotion, Online Distribution

        Purpose: To explain the effect of product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion on attitudes, customer satisfaction, and local brand love. Research design, data and methodology: The population of this study are Indonesians who have purchased local Indonesian brand products. The size of the sample used was 240 people with purposive sampling method. The analytical technique used is Path Analysis using SEM-PLS. Results: product quality, price perception, online distribution have a positive effect on attitudes, but social media promotion has a positive and insignificant effect on consumer attitudes; product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and attitudes have a positive and significant effect on local brand love; and customer satisfaction has a positive effect on brand love for local brands. Conclusion: Therefore, it is important for local brand product businesses to pay attention to product quality, price perception, online distribution, and social media promotion in order to be able to build positive attitudes, customer satisfaction and ultimately have an impact on local brand love. In online distribution, with online distribution, it is easy for marketers to deliver multimedia content through online methods.
