Genus Trissolcus are considered as most effective natural enemy for control Pentatomid pests. Trissolcus japonicus (Ashmead) is native egg parasitoid of the brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys (Stål) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) in Palearctic region. Nevertheless, identification of Palearctic Trissolcus species are still controversial because of morphological homogeneity such as Trissolcus semistriatus (Nees, 1834) and Trissolcus Kozlovi Ryakhovskii, 1975. This study reassessed Korean Trissolcus species diversity and provided DNA barcoding data using mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene for 11 Korean Trissolcus species.
A taxonomic review of the family Platygastridae (Hymenoptera: Platygastroidea) from Korea

The family Platygastridae is a large group of parasitoid wasps, generally have a small body size (1-2mm). Platygastidae comprised of 5 subfamilies (Platygastrinae, Sceliotrachelinae, Scelioninae, Teleasinae, and Telenominae). Until know 6,049 species in 265 genera are reported around the world except polar regions and 96 species in 26 genera are reported from Korea. This study contains general information of Platygastrid wasps as a candidate of effective natural enemy, also provide high resolution photography to identify Korean Platygastid wasps at the genus levels.

Genus Trimorus are egg parasitoids of Carabid beetles. They are comprised of two subgenus (Trimorus, Neotrimorus), Neotrimorus are composed of 3 species. One of them Trimorus (Neotrimorus) ferrari was described by Veenakumari & Rajmohana from the Andaman islands India, but only male is determined. For the first time, female Trimorus (Neotrimorus) ferrari Veenakumari & Rajmohana, 2013 is collected from Myanmar. Herein, description and photograph of female T. (Neotrimorus) ferrari are provided, also redescription and photograph of male are included.
Two New Records of Genus Trissolcus Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Platygastridae) from South Korea

The genus Trissolcus Ashmead is an egg parasitoid of the family Pentatomidae, of which species are used for biocontrol agents for sting bug pests. Until now, 8 species of Trissolcus were recorded from South Korea. In this study, two species, Trissolcus plautiae (Watanabe) and T. elasmuchae (Watanabe, 1954), are newly recognized from Korean peninsula. Diagnosis, photographs and key to species are provided.

A ricanid planthopper, sometimes so called Ricania shantungensis, has been regarded as a serious invasive pest in Korean peninsula. It belongs to family Ricaniidae comprised of 40 genus and more than 400 species worldwide, and only 6 species recognized in Korea. The invasive planthopper has a wide host range including economic agricultural crops such as apple, peach and pear. In the meantime to investigate natural enemies for biological control, we have found an egg parasitoid. In this study, we report a new species of genus Phanuromyia, an egg parasitoid of the ricanid planthopper. Morphological characteristics of male and female are described in detail with high resolution images.
Quality Characteristics of Plant-Based Rice Milk Using Processed and Functional Varieties

In recent years, many rice varieties with improved processing quality have been developed to promote domestic rice consumption, in addition to the increasing preference for plant-based food and by-products. For quality test of rice milk, we used a set of rice lines, ‘Milyang355’ (aromatic brown rice, ABR; and aromatic white rice, AWR), ‘Milyang365’ (black rice, PBR) and ‘Saeilmi’ (normal brown rice, NBR; and white rice, NWR). Our preliminary data indicate that the viscosity and antioxidant activity (DPPH radical scavenging, TPC) of plant-based rice milk were significantly high in the brown rice group compared to the white rice group (p<0.05). In addition, the total soluble solid content was low in ARB. Whereas, the PBR (black rice) had the lowest L* value. In the sensory evaluation, the aromatic rice ABR had the highest overall preference, and high score for rice flavor, taste and texture; while, the black rice PBR recorded the lowest preference. Thus, this preliminary investigation provides helpful information that aromatic brown rice (ABR) present the best processing qualities and could be used in preference for plant-based rice milk making.
Characteristics of Reaction of Salivary α-amylase to Duty Hours by Ages of Hospital Nurses

It is known that work load affects hypothalamus pituitary adrenocortical axis(HPA axis). It was studied that job stress-related factors affected neuroendocrine in nurses, however, which was not quantitatively evaluated. Especially, the shifts of nurses may bring about physical, emotional problems, and this working type may induce a syndrome of shift maladjustment. Therefore, this study was aimed to grasp the effect that job stress on duty hours by ages of nurses has on α-amylase. This study was conducted for the hospital in City D which consisted of a general ward, an emergency center, and an intensive care unit and which had three-shift system, and from a total of 50 nurses who were working at the hospital at daytime and nighttime and who were in their twenties(25) and in their thirties(25), Salivary α-amylase was extracted every two hours and analyzed. As the results of analysis, the change in characteristics of α-amylase by ages in the nurses in their 20s and 30s showed a significant difference(p<0.05), and as the change in the eigen value of α-amylase was highest in the nurses in their thirties between 11 and 13 o’clock, it could be observed that the activation ratio of α-amylase, stress reactant, increased with the activation of sympathetic nerve due to the mental stress. The work load of nurses had an effect of awakening and increased the concentration of α-amylase, and the change in the level of job stress by ages could be identified. Therefore, to improve the level of mental health of nurses and the service to patients, the stress management by ages and by time should be considered important and it is necessary to proceed the study for various types of job to generalize the results of this study later.
