A system level power/jitter reduction technique of all-digital phase locked loop (ADPLL) design has been developed. The architecture to memorize the repetitive control signal pattern of digitally-controlled oscillator (DCO) during lock state and to regenerate the pattern, achieve the reduced power consumption compared to conventional mode from 14.4 mW to 9.51 mW in 1.0 V supply at 12.2 GHz and concurrently reduce jitter from 1.86 ps to 1.56 ps. The prototype PLL has been fabricated in 65 nm CMOS process and occupies 0.16 ㎟ chip area.

정부 안전정책에 따라 본선 승강장 안전문이 전역사에 설치되고 있으며 이에 따라 전동차 정위치 정차가 승객의 안전과 승무원의 안전운행에 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 본 논문은 계절별 주변역사 환경 특성 및 제동시 회생에너지를 소모 시킬 수 있는 부하 차량의 부재로 인한 과주정차(OVER-RUN)에 대한 분석과 정위치 정차 향상 방안을 연구하였다. 특히, 하절기 온습도 등 환경요인의 악화로 제동력(마찰력) 감소 및 제동 마찰제 재질 변경 등의 따른 과주정차 사례 등에 대한 감속 프로파일 연구, 회생제동력 패턴연구, ATO 프로파일 변경 등을 통하여 과주 정차를 최소화하기 위한 방안에 대해서 기술하고자 한다. A high-power solid-state RF source driven by a doubly-differential signal

<P>This letter presents a new solid-state RF source generating kW-level output power at HF band.Four power transistors are driven in a doubly-differential way, operated in a switching mode, and combined together to produce high output power. A multilayered input feed network is carefully designed, such that an accurate doubly-differential signal is provided to the transistors. The output matching and combining circuitry is optimized toward a high efficiency. The implemented RF source produces a CW signal of 1.5 kW at 29 MHz with a drain efficiency of 85%. The measured high efficiency is attributed to the well-balanced and symmetric switching-mode operation of each transistor, which is verified experimentally by a thermal image. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 레이더 신호 능동 상쇄를 위하여 기존의 MLE 기법에 비해 매우 적은 수신 신호 샘플만을 이용하여 신호의 파라미터 추정이 가능한 Pade approximation 기반의 적응적 파라미터 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 제안하는 알고리즘이 레이더 신호의 중심 주파수를 갱신함으로써 시간에 따라 변하는 중심 주파수를 갖는 신호에 대한 느동적인 추정이 가능함을 보인다. 레이더 신호 능동 상쇄 모의실험을 통해 위협 레이더 신호의 크기에 대한 추정된 신호의 RMSE의 비를 계산함으로써 제안하는 알고리즘의 추정 정확도를 보인다. We propose a parameter estimation algorithm for radar signal active cancellation based on the Pade approximation that requires much less samples than the conventional MLE scheme. We also verify that the radar signal with time-variant center frequency can be estimated with proposed algorithm by renovating the center frequency. We present simulation results for radar signal active cancellation to show the accuracy of estimated signal using proposed algorithm by calculating the ratio of RMSE of estimated signal to amplitude of hostile radar signal.

<P><B>Significance</B></P><P>Many disordered fluid systems exhibit anomalous transport dynamics, which do not obey Einstein's theory of Brownian motion or other currently available theories. Here, we present a new transport equation governing thermal motion of complex fluidic systems, which provides a unified, quantitative explanation of the mean-square displacement, the non-Gaussian parameter, and the displacement distribution of various complex fluids. The applicability of our theory is demonstrated for molecular dynamics simulation results of supercooled water and dense hard disc fluids and for experimental results of colloidal beads diffusing on lipid tubes. This work suggests previously unexplored directions for quantitative investigation into transport and transport-coupled processes in complex disordered media, including living cells.</P><P>Thermal motion in complex fluids is a complicated stochastic process but ubiquitously exhibits initial ballistic, intermediate subdiffusive, and long-time diffusive motion, unless interrupted. Despite its relevance to numerous dynamical processes of interest in modern science, a unified, quantitative understanding of thermal motion in complex fluids remains a challenging problem. Here, we present a transport equation and its solutions, which yield a unified quantitative explanation of the mean-square displacement (MSD), the non-Gaussian parameter (NGP), and the displacement distribution of complex fluids. In our approach, the environment-coupled diffusion kernel and its time correlation function (TCF) are the essential quantities that determine transport dynamics and characterize mobility fluctuation of complex fluids; their time profiles are directly extractable from a model-free analysis of the MSD and NGP or, with greater computational expense, from the two-point and four-point velocity autocorrelation functions. We construct a general, explicit model of the diffusion kernel, comprising one unbound-mode and multiple bound-mode components, which provides an excellent approximate description of transport dynamics of various complex fluidic systems such as supercooled water, colloidal beads diffusing on lipid tubes, and dense hard disk fluid. We also introduce the concepts of intrinsic disorder and extrinsic disorder that have distinct effects on transport dynamics and different dependencies on temperature and density. This work presents an unexplored direction for quantitative understanding of transport and transport-coupled processes in complex disordered media.</P>

동영상이나 정지영상에서 사람의 얼굴을 검출 및 인식을 하는 여러 가지 알고리즘이 소개되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 신경망(Neural Network)과 얼굴의 기하학적 특징 중에 하나인 눈과 입을 사용하여 얼굴 영역을 추출하는 방법을 사용한다. 신경망은 얼굴 인식을 비롯한 여러 분야에서 쓰이는 좋은 방법 중의 하나이지만 신경망이 가지고 있는 특성상 많은 오차를 가질 수 있기 때문에 얼굴을 구성하고 있는 요소인 눈과 입을 사용해서 오차를 제거하는 방법을 제안한다.
