      • 우루과이 라운드(UR)가 대추재배농가에 미치는 영향

        崔寬,韓祥烈,金正德 慶北大學校 1992 論文集 Vol.52 No.-

Uruguay Round(UR) has a lot of implication in the forest product market as well as the other sectors of the economy. Jujube, one of the major forest products in Kyungsan county would be affected by the free trade resulting from the agreement on UR. To establish effective policy measures dealing with negative effects on free trade, if any, the effect of UR on Jujube producers should be figured out. In this context, the purpose of this study are (1) estimating the demand, supply and its price functions of the Jujube market and (2) forecasting the effect of UR on Jujube growers. The result is such as; Demand funtion : Q^d_t〓 - 19032-714.3203·ln p_t+5179.3947·ln GNP_t Supply function : Q^s_t= - 6975.15+266.871516·ln P_t-1+1159.4668·ln Q_t-1 Price function : ln P_t=1.41225-0.02004·ln Q_t-1+0.053464·ln P_t-1+0.693957·ln GNP The damage to the Jujube growers is estimated to be 34 billion won, 37 billion won, 39 billion won and 48 billion won by 2001 if jujube's tariffication rate in the year of 2001 is reduced 30% 40% 50% and 90%, respectively.

두부 외상 환자의 고혈당과 예후와의 상관관계

        현석천,이종안,박준석,박상문,김갑득,장인성,김승열,송화식 대한응급의학회 1996 대한응급의학회지 Vol.7 No.2

Severe head injury is associated with a stress response that includes hyperglycemia, which has been shown to worse outcome during cerebral ischemia. To better define the relationship between head injury and hyperglycemia, admission glucose level were analyzed in 150 head injured patients from January 1995 to December 1995. Our retrospective study demonstrated a higher glucose level in patients with low Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS) score, especially at 3-5 GCS score, compared to those with high GCS scores. Also a higher glucose level was noted in patients with vegetative state and dead than in those with good recovery and moderate disability. Hyperglycemia(serum glucose level≥200mg%) was associated with decreased level of consciousness and a poor outcome. We conclude that admission hyperglycemia is a significant indicator of severity of injury(p<0.001), but not significant predictor outcome from head injury. After controlling for the influence of the GCS score, glucose levels do not have an independent effect on outcome.

Measuring the Preservation Value for Endangered Wildlife in Korea

        Sang yoel Han,Tae kyun Kim,Kwan Choi 한국농업경제학회 2000 農業經濟硏究 Vol.41 No.4

This article estimates the preservation value of Manchurian black bear, a prominent endangered wildlife species, in South Korea. A dichotomous-choice contingent valuation with actual payment is used to estimate the preservation value including option. existence, and bequest values. This study also reveals some variables of explaining the preservation value. The results show that the preservation value is estimated to be U.S. $4.86 per household. Results also indicate that the variable of environmental attitudes is important in explaining willingness to pay. The findings suggest that visitors of Chirisan National Park strongly support for the preservation of endangered wildlife species.

      • Quiescin Sulfhydryl Oxidase 1 (QSOX1) Secreted by Lung Cancer Cells Promotes Cancer Metastasis

        Sung, Hye-Jin,Ahn, Jung-Mo,Yoon, Yeon-Hee,Na, Sang-Su,Choi, Young-Jin,Kim, Yong-In,Lee, Soo-Youn,Lee, Eung-Bae,Cho, Sukki,Cho, Je-Yoel MDPI 2018 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MOLECULAR SCIENCES Vol.19 No.10

<P>As lung cancer shows the highest mortality in cancer-related death, serum biomarkers are demanded for lung cancer diagnosis and its treatment. To discover lung cancer protein biomarkers, secreted proteins from primary cultured lung cancer and adjacent normal tissues from patients were subjected to LC/MS–MS proteomic analysis. Quiescin sulfhydryl oxidase (QSOX1) was selected as a biomarker candidate from the enriched proteins in the secretion of lung cancer cells. QSOX1 levels were higher in 82% (51 of 62 tissues) of lung cancer tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues. Importantly, QSOX1 serum levels were significantly higher in cancer patients (<I>p</I> < 0.05, Area Under curve (AUC) = 0.89) when measured by multiple reaction monitoring (MRM). Higher levels of QSOX1 were also uniquely detected in lung cancer tissues, among several other solid cancers, by immunohistochemistry. QSOX1-knock-downed Lewis lung cancer (LLC) cells were less viable from oxidative stress and reduced migration and invasion. In addition, LLC mouse models with QSOX1 knock-down also proved that QSOX1 functions in promoting cancer metastasis. In conclusion, QSOX1 might be a lung cancer tissue-derived biomarker and be involved in the promotion of lung cancers, and thus can be a therapeutic target for lung cancers.</P>

      • Evaluation of Optimum Decapitation Method in Vinyl Mulching Soybean Cultivation

        Sang-Ouk Shin,Hyun-Tae Kim,Ha-Sik Shim,Young-Hoon Lee,Byuong-Won Lee,Chan-Sik Jeong,In-Yoel Baek,Keum-Yong Park 한국작물학회 2010 한국작물학회 학술발표대회 논문집 Vol.2010 No.04

overgrowth of soybean plants and thereby brings about lodging, decrease in pod number, damage by disease and insect pest, etc. This experiment was carried out to investigate optimum decapitation method in vinyl mulching soybean cultivation. Sinbuseoktae, local soybean variety was sown on May 25 and June 15 in 2009. Decapitation treatments(Non-decapitation, V8 stage-stem, V8 stage-apex, Flowering initiation stage, V8 stage-Stem+Flowering initiation Stage) were practiced on major growth stage on May25 seeding. Lodging did not occur in apex decapitation at V8 stage while other treatments had severe lodging. NAR from R5 to R7 stage was also highest in apex decapitation at V8 stage, which meaned optimum plant organ structure in utilizing light. On the other hand, flowering date and maturity date among treatments were similar. Seed yield in apex decapitation at V8 stage was highest with 274kg/10a, followed by flowering initiation stage with 249kg/10a. The apex decapitation at V8 stage had 26% yield increase as compared with the control of 216kg/10a due to heavy 100-seed weight.

Measuring Economic Value for Endangered Korean Goral

Han, Sang-Yoel Korean Society of Forest Science 2008 한국산림과학회지 Vol.97 No.5

The purpose of this paper is to examine willingness to pay (WTP) for endangered species, the Korean goral, of Woraksan National Park in South Korea. The median of the WTP is adopted to estimate the value because it will not be affected by the extreme values. The estimated household median WTP using a logit model for Korean goral conservation in Woraksan National Park was 15,221 won. The estimated value of the WTP in relation to the Korean goral has some policy implications. especially in terms of implementing policy to protect the Korean goral. The result shows that the public conservation program does have a positive WTP for the conservation of the Korean goral. This implies that the Korean goral is an important species that needs to be maintained, the government has been expended a large sum of money in an attempt to protect it.
