Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of Customer Experience Management (CEM) on the distribution of Marketing Performance mediated by Digital Business Innovation (DBI), Digital Operational Excellence (DOE), and Digital Value Co-Creation (DVC) in Indonesia Information & Technology (IT) industry. Research design, data, and methodology: This research was conducted in two stages, namely exploratory and explanatory on IT companies in Indonesia. The authors took 132 samples using proportionate random sampling method in three groups of companies. Results: The results showed that CEM had no significant positive effect on the distribution of Marketing Performance. CEM has no direct effect on the distribution of Marketing Performance through the mediation of DBI. CEM has direct effect on the distribution of Marketing Performance through the mediation of DOE and DVC. DBI has no significant effect in increasing the distribution of Marketing Performance. However, DOE and DVC have a significant effect in increasing the distribution of Marketing Performance. Conclusion: The distribution of Marketing Performance can be indicated better through CEM through mediation.

Agrobacterium-mediated gene transfer has recently been developed to improve rice transformation. In this study, 3 different transformation methods were tested including soaking, co-cultivation, and vacuum infiltration. Agrobacterium tumefaciens GV3101 harboring the binary vector pGreen:: LeGSNOR was used in this experiment. This study aimed to identify the most appropriate method for transferring LeGSNOR into rice. Vacuum infiltration of the embryonic calli for 5 min in Ilpum resulted in high transformation efficiency based on confirmation by PCR, RT-PCR, and qRT-PCR analyses. In conclusion, we described the development of an efficient transformation protocol for the stable integration of foreign genes into rice; furthermore, the study results confirmed that PCR is suitable for efficient detection of the integrated gene. The vacuum infiltration system is a potentially useful tool for future studies focusing on transferring important genes into rice seed calli, and may help reduce time and effort.

One of Bureaucracy Reform objective in Indonesia is excellent public service that held in local government. This objective is encouraging the civil servant, in local government to implement reform program. Moreover, in Indonesia kelurahan (equal with village) and kecamatan (sub-district) are two organizations that have function as public service front liner in local government. These two organizations are in charge of giving services to the society and must adapt to difference characteristic, in each area. This paper will compare which organization that more efficient and effective in giving services to people in different area (the area with village and city characteristic). This study deal with the efficiency and effectiveness of public services between kelurahan Aren Jaya and kecamatan Bekasi Timur in Bekasi City (City characteristic) with kelurahan Kota and kecamatan Tanjung Pandan in Belitung Regency (Village characteristic).

A whole genome sequence was performed on Trichoderma asperellum MLT1J1 isolated from coconut husk in Maluku, Indonesia. This strain is a white fungus that has glucoseresistant properties in the production of alpha-amylase and glucoamylase. In this study, the genome sequence of Trichoderma asperellum MLT1J1 was sequenced using Illumina NovaSeq PE150. The genome assembly has a length of 48.66 Mb with a GC content of 52.32%, 471 scaffolds and 14,103 protein-coding genes. Based on additional analyses, the number of genes encoding carbohydrate-active enzymes and secondary metabolites gene clusters were revealed. The result of this study will provide useful genomic information that can be compared with other Trichoderma species.

This study investigates the job satisfaction of gig workers in Indonesia, particularly the online motorcycle taxi or ojek drivers, by looking at the influence of proactive behavior, self-efficacy, and job crafting as found in previous studies. Gig workers are classified as ‘independent contractors’ where some studies show that they achieve high job satisfaction through autonomy and flexibility. However, other studies show that all gig workers do not experience this condition. Location-based gig workers such as the online drivers are highly controlled by algorithm control and customer management, which makes their autonomy and flexibility questionable. The study is quantitative research by conducting a survey approach in seven main cities in Indonesia. Two hundred eighty online ojek drivers participated in this research by fulfilling questionnaires. The result shows that proactive behavior does not directly affect job satisfaction, but self-efficacy fully mediates the relationship. Job crafting has an insignificant influence on job satisfaction, and thus, this variable cannot mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and proactive behavior. The major finding of this study suggests that self-efficacy, which is their belief that they can overcome the challenges and achieve their goals, is very central to shaping job satisfaction of the online drivers.

<P>We previously identified the rice (<I>Oryza sativa</I>) senescence-associated gene <I>OsSAP</I> which encodes a highly conserved protein involved in anti-apoptotic activity. This novel Bax suppressor-related gene regulates tolerance to multiple stresses in yeast. Here, we show the effects of drought stress on leaf and root tissues of plants over-expressing <I>OsSAP</I> in relation to the levels of phytohormones, abscisic acid (ABA), jasmonic acid (JA), indole-3-carboxylic acid (ICA), gibberellic acid (GA3), and zeatin. Results showed that rice plants over-expressing <I>SAP</I> were tolerant to drought stress compared to wild type and the plants over-expressing <I>AtBI</I>-1, which is a homolog of the human Bax inhibitor-1 in <I>Arabidopsis</I>. ABA and JA levels in <I>OsSAP</I> and <I>AtBI</I>-1 transgenic plants consistently increased up to at least 3 days after drought treatment, whereas lower GA3 levels were recorded during early drought period. Comparison between control and transgenic plants overexpressing anti-apoptosis genes <I>OsSAP</I> and <I>AtBI</I>-1 resulted in different patterns of hormone levels, indicating that these genes are involved in the plant responses to drought stress and present an opportunity for further study on drought stress tolerance in rice and other plant species.</P><P><B>Electronic supplementary material</B></P><P>The online version of this article (doi:10.1007/s13205-016-0564-x) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.</P>

We previously identified the rice gene, OsSAP, as an encoder of a highly conserved putative senescence-associated protein that was shown to have anti-apoptotic activity. To confirm the role of OsSAP in inducing abiotic stress tolerance in rice, we introduced OsSAP and AtBI-1, a plant homologue of Bax inhibitor-1, under the control of the CaMV 35S promoter into the rice genome through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The OsSAP transformants showed a similar chlorophyll index after salinity treatments with AtBI-1. Furthermore, we compared the effects of salinity stress on leaves and roots by examining the hormone levels of abscisic acid (ABA), jasmonic acid (JA), gibberellic acid (GA3), and zeatin in transformants compared to the control. With the exception of phytohormones, stress-induced changes in hormone levels putatively related to stress tolerance have not been investigated previously. Hormonal level analysis confirmed the lower rate of stress in the transformants compared to the control. The levels of ABA and JA in OsSAP and AtBI-1 transformants were similar, where stress rates increased after one week and decreased after a two week period of drought; there was a slightly higher accumulation compared to the control. However, a similar trend was not observed for the level of zeatin, as the decrease in the level of zeatin accumulation differed in both OsSAP and AtBI-1 transformants for all genotypes during the early period of salinity stress. The GA3 level was detected under normal conditions, but not under salinity stress.
