Because lightweight concrete with expanded polystyrene beads has properties of low density, low heat conductivity, it can be used in lightweight structural material and heat insulation layer. But application of this material in buildings is insufficient yet. One of application in building is panel, like non-structural partition used inside, has low compressive strength. So the purpose of this study is to lead the fundamental data to improve low strength of lightweight concrete with polystyrene beads by mixing silica fume and curing methods for application to dry lightweight panel of building, which is based on the mechanical property of lightweight concrete using polystyrene beads, and to examine suitability of polystyrene beads as composition material of panel from the above result. Unit volume weight of fresh concrete is 0.5-0.61t/m³ in EPSB substitution rate 70% and 0.27 -0.33t/m³ in EPSB substitution rate 80%, and compressive strength as increase of silica fume substitution rate is increased but, batch in EPSB substitution rate 80% has low compressive strength rate. Compressive strength by curing method was higher by high temperature(60˚C, seal up).
초음파 트랜스듀서용 PZT-고분자 1-3-0형 복합압전체의 유전 및 압전특성
양윤석,최헌일,사공건 東亞論叢 1999 東亞論叢 Vol.36 No.-
In this study, piezoelectric composites with 1-3-0 connectivity have been studied. A piezoelectric ceramic PZT prepared by the Wet-Dry Combination method is used as a filler phase in mixture of the third filler phase and Eccogel polymer matrix. The density and stiffness of 1-3-0 type composites were decreased with increasing the third phase.
PZT-고분자 1-3-0형 복합압전체의 압전 및 음향특성
양윤석,사공건 東亞大學校 1999 東亞論叢 Vol.36 No.-
In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by the Wet-Dry combination method. And a flexible 1-3-0 type composite was fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix mixed the 3rd phase. Dielectric constant of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Thickness mode coupling factor kt(0.65) which was comparable with single phase PZT ceramics and mechanical quality factor Qm were about 6. These composites are considered as a good candidates for broad-band type transducer applications. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Therefore, these composites would be better used for hydrophone applications.

Alpha-synuclein (α-SYN) is a small and highly conserved presynaptic protein that is implicated in both normal brain function and the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Although the physiological function of α-SYN has not been fully evaluated, several lines of evidence suggest that it plays an important role in the regulation of dopamine homeostasis in the brain. Early studies have demonstrated that interaction of α-SYN and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), a rate-limiting enzyme in dopamine synthesis, is functionally significant for dopaminergic neurotransmission and the pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease. In the present study, we would like to evaluate whether overexpression of wild-type or mutant α-SYN might affect cAMP/PKA-dependent TH activation in DA-producing SK-N-BE(2)C cells. Here we show that wild-type and mutant A30P and A53T α-SYN attenuate forskolin-induced TH up-regulation, but do not suppress TH basal expression in SK-N-BE(2)C cells. Forskolin-induced increase in TH promoter activity and CRE-dependent transcription are significantly suppressed in α-SYN-overexpressing cells. Alpha-SYN enters the nucleus, but does not bind to CREB or interfere with forskolin-induced CREB phosphorylation. These data indicate that elevated levels of α-SYN due to a specific disease or the normal aging process could be associated with dopaminergic neuronal dysfunction through interference with TH regulation.
