This paper is focused on the improvement of reflection angle of an optical scanner by changing a shape of a torsion bar attached with an optical scanner reflector(mirror). In order to improve the light efficiency of the optical scanner by virtue of the magnetic effect, which tiny magnets are attached under both ends of the optical scanner reflector. and hence the optical scanner reflector was operated in relatively lower driving voltage. By changing the torsion bar's shape I type into S type, we've got the lower resonant frequency(32.5Hz) of an optical scanner than that of conventional one(50Hz). According to these results. The reflection angle of an optical scanner with magnets was much larger in the range of about 14.8° compared to one without a magnet. By making use of a magnetic actuator instead of a conventional electrostatic actuator, the optical scanner was less influenced from outdoor dust or moisture.

Because lightweight concrete with expanded polystyrene beads has properties of low density, low heat conductivity, it can be used in lightweight structural material and heat insulation layer. But application of this material in buildings is insufficient yet. One of application in building is panel, like non-structural partition used inside, has low compressive strength. So the purpose of this study is to lead the fundamental data to improve low strength of lightweight concrete with polystyrene beads by mixing silica fume and curing methods for application to dry lightweight panel of building, which is based on the mechanical property of lightweight concrete using polystyrene beads, and to examine suitability of polystyrene beads as composition material of panel from the above result. Unit volume weight of fresh concrete is 0.5-0.61t/m³ in EPSB substitution rate 70% and 0.27 -0.33t/m³ in EPSB substitution rate 80%, and compressive strength as increase of silica fume substitution rate is increased but, batch in EPSB substitution rate 80% has low compressive strength rate. Compressive strength by curing method was higher by high temperature(60˚C, seal up).

In this paper, the optimum oxidation conditions in preparing the Cu-Zn ferrite wore investigated. The Cu-Zn ferrite powders which were synthesized by the coprecipitation method using FeCl( ) 6H( )O, CuCl( ) 2H( )O, ZnCl( ) and NaOH. These powders dependent on various heat treatments and oxidation conditions were prepared. The properties of Cu-Zn ferrite powders were examined by SEM, XRD, and VSM. The shape of powders obtained at 70(℃) were more spherical and fine-grained particles than that of powders prepared at 25, 50 and 60(℃), respectively. The saturation magnetization of the powders was not influenced by adding H( )O( ), but was influenced significantly by air oxidation. We have found that the saturation magnetization of Cu-Zn powders was dependent on the reaction time of air oxidation and was saturated in 6 hours.

Surface roughness is one of the most important parameters to estimate quality of products. As this reason, so many studies were car-ried out through various attempts that were contact or non-contact using computer vision. Even though these efforts, there were few good results in this research. However, texture analysis is making a important role to solve these problems in various fields including universe, aviation, living thing and fibers. In this study, feature value of co-occurrence matrix was calculated by statistic method and roughness value of worked surface was classified of it. Experiment was carried out using input vector of neural network with characteristic value of texture calculated from worked surface image. It's found that recognition rate of 74% was obtained when adapting texture features. In order to enhance recogni-tion rate, combination type in characteristic value of texture was changed into input vector. As a result, high recognition rate of 92.6% was obtained through these processes.

A mathematical model, which can be used for the study of an influenza epidemic, was derived by using the property of incubation period. The main results are as follows. 1) The new-model shows more exactly the curve of response. 2) The standard deviation of normal distribution curve of the incubation period is about 1.5. The Authors believe that the method to study the influenza model in this paper will be helpful to study the characteristics of other epidemics. It will also contribute to the influenza-control model.
Ni-Zn Ferrite/Rubber복합형 전파흡수체의 정합조건 설계

The demands for microwave absorbing materials and designs are being increased. We have studied about a new design technique to seek for the matching conditions for composite absorbers. The ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorbers were fabricated with Ni-Zn ferrite prepared by coprzcipitation method and silicone rubber. We have figured out the matching conditions(frequency and thickness) through the material constants of the self-maded ferrite/rubber composite absorber by utilizing the matching map and the matching boundary map. We could make a prediction for the matching conditions of ferrite/rubber composite absorber with our developed design technique.

The diagnosis and monitoring system of abnormal cutting condition is necessary to realize precision machining process and factory automation, which are final goal of metal cutting. In order to develop this system, the image processing technique has been investigated in machining process. In this paper, the measurement system of tool wear using computer vision is designed to detect the wear pattern by non-contact and direct method and get the realiable wear information about cutting tool. We measured the area of the side and front part of the diamond core drill which is used in 40 kHz ultrasonic vibration machine.

Basically, the idea underlying most edge-detection technique is the computation of a local derivative operator used for edge detection in gray level image. This concept can be easily illustrated with the aid of object which shows an image of a simple light on a dark background. Using the gray level profile along a horizontal scan line of the image, the first and second derivatives of it were acquired. This study is to develop an automatic measuring system based on the digital image processing which can be applied to the real time measurement of he characteristics of the ultra-thin thickness. The experimental results indicate tat the developed automatic inspection can be applied in real situation.
肝吸蟲症에 대한 Praziquantel (Embay 8440)의 治療效果에 關한 硏究

A total of 162 patients with proven Clonorchis sinensis infection were treated by 8 different dosages with praziquantel at a single dose and 2 or 3 divided doses on a single or two days. A single dose of 40 ㎎/㎏ bwt and 50 ㎎/㎏ bwt of praziquantel were given to 28 and 15 patients respectively and each 15 patients were treated with a single dose of 20 ㎎/㎏ bwt and 30 ㎎/㎏ bwt for 2 days. Follow-up examinations were carried out at about 30 and 60 days after treatment. Two months after therapy, the results were shown 82.6 to 99.1% in the egg reduction rates but only 6.7% (in dosage group of 20 ㎎/㎏×2 days) to 33.3% (in dosage group of 50 ㎎/㎏×1 day) in cure rates. On the other hand, two doses of 25 ㎎/㎏ bwt (50 ㎎/㎏ bwt) and 3 doses of 25 ㎎/㎏ (75 ㎎/㎏ bwt) of praziquantel with the interval of 6 hours on one or two days were given to the other patients. The dosage of 2×25 ㎎/㎏×1 day and 2×25 ㎎/㎏×2 days were given to 15 and 24 patients respectively. The high egg reduction rates of 97.4% and 99.9% were shown in the follow-up examinations, however 46.7% and 75.0% of cure rates were obtained. Considerably high egg reduction rate (99.7%) and cure rate (85.7%) were obtained in 35 patients received 3×25 ㎎/㎏ bwt in a single day. However in 15 patients received 3×25 ㎎/㎏ bwt for two days complete cure was obtained at the follow-up examinations. In case eggs were found at the first or second follow-up examination, patients were treated again with the same dosage of praziquantel and another follow-up period of 60 days was required. Six of 24 patients received 2×25 ㎎/㎏×2 days and 5 of 35 patients received 3×25 ㎎/㎏×1 day treated again with the same dosage of praziquantel and all were completely cured. After a single dose of 40 ㎎/㎏×1 day, only 7 of 28 patients were cured at 30 and 60 days after therapy, and 21 patients received for another time 40 ㎎/㎏ once on a single day and 7 of these 21 patients (33.3%) were cured. The remaining 14 patients showed egg reduction rates of over 90%. Therefore 50.0% of cure rate was obtained after the 2nd medication. Eight of 15 cases received 2×25 ㎎/㎏×1 day were treated again with the same dosage, and only 4 cases were cured. In the final result, 73.3% of cure rate with 99.4% of egg reduction rate was shown at 60 days follow-up examination after the second medication. The assessment of tolerance recorded only a few side effects, such as headache, dizziness and nausea etc. Extended hematological and biochemical tests showed no abnormal findings after thereapy which might be due to the medication. It was evidently shown that the human clonorchiasis could be successfully treated with a few doses of praziquantel without any serious side effects. Therefore praziquantel is the most promising drug for the treatment against Clonorchis sinensis infection.
