      • A Dynamic Time-slot Assignment for Ground Wireless Sensor Network

Gao Ren,Tang Long,Hu Wen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.7

This paper is on the background of the applied communications of automated vehicle in the multi-hop environment. The paper provides a dynamic time-slot assignment protocol for the ground wireless sensor network (WSN), based on TDMA. By interacting of the two-hop neighboring nodes information, the protocol finishes the dynamic time-slot assignment, realizes the efficient and fair sharing of channel, reduces the transfer delay of the end-to-end burst data, meets the communication demand of assignment on-demand in WSN, and prolongs the life-time of the network with the virtual backbone mechanism. The theoretical analysis and simulation results showed that the protocol provided has better adaptability for the burst network services and topological variation, comparing to the traditional static mac layer protocol in the TDMA system.

      • Dynamic Economic Dispatch Solution for a Microgrid Using Improved Ant Colony Optimization

Gao Ren,Wu Juebo,Hu Wen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.9 No.8

This paper presents a novel approach for dynamic economic dispatch in a MicroGrid by using the improved ant colony optimization (ACO). In order to satisfy the power balance and load demand, the mathematical model of economic dispatch is given to support the MicroGrid in both grid-connected and islanded mode. By means of ACO, the dynamic economic dispatch solution is proposed in combination with sequential quadratic programming (SQP), and the essential procedure is introduced. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of the proposed scheme.

      • Research on Improved Hadoop Distributed File System in Cloud Rendering

        Ren Qin,Gao Jue,Gao Honghao,Bian Minjie,Xu Huahu,Feng Weibing 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.9 No.11

With the rapid development of cloud computing technology, it’s the cloud rendering that cloud computing is applied to render the job in CG (Computer Graphic) industry. The cloud rendering can handle a large number of rendering requests which are enormous pressure for back-end servers in system. Facing with massive data and computing resources, the bottleneck of original HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System) based on cloud computing has become more and more prominent, such as the failure of single Namenode, scalability issues. Therefore, the paper proposed an improved HDFS which evolved a single Namenode into multi-Namenode. In HDFS, Metadata management is very important. So this paper presented a two-level Metadata distribution algorithm. The two-level algorithm was based on the principle that different distribution strategies were used to different categories of Metadata. The experiments verified that the improved HDFS effectively improved the performance of the system.

Characteristics of the Infection of Tilletia laevis Kühn (syn. Tilletia foetida (Wallr.) Liro.) in Compatible Wheat

        Zhaoyu Ren,Wei Zhang,Mengke Wang,Haifeng Gao,Huimin Shen,Chunping Wang,Taiguo Liu,Wanquan Chen,Li Gao 한국식물병리학회 2021 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.37 No.5

Tilletia laevis Kühn (syn. Tilletia foetida (Wallr.) Liro.) causes wheat common bunt, which is one of the most devastating plant diseases in the world. Common bunt can result in a reduction of 80% or even a total loss of wheat production. In this study, the characteristics of T. laevis infection in compatible wheat plants were defined based on the combination of scanning electron mi- croscopy, transmission electron microscopy and laser scanning confocal microscopy. We found T. laevis could lead to the abnormal growth of wheat tissues and cells, such as leakage of chloroplasts, deformities, disordered arrangements of mesophyll cells and also thickening of the cell wall of mesophyll cells in leaf tissue. What’s more, T. laevis teliospores were found in the roots, stems, flag leaves, and glumes of infected wheat plants instead of just in the ovaries, as previously reported. The abnormal characteristics caused by T. laevis may be used for early detection of this pathogen instead of molecular markers in addition to providing theoretical insights into T. laevis and wheat interactions for breed- ing of common bunt resistance.

      • Mechanical behavior of crumb rubber concrete under axial compression

        Ren, Rui,Liang, Jiong-Feng,Liu, Da-wei,Gao, Jin-he,Chen, Lin Techno-Press 2020 Advances in concrete construction Vol.9 No.3

This paper aims at investigating the effect of crumb rubber size and content on compressive behaviors of concrete under axial compression. Concrete specimens are designed and produced by replacing natural aggregate with crumb rubber content of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and three different sized crumb rubbers (No. 20, No. 40, No. 80 crumb rubber). And the failure mode, compressive strength, elastic modulus, stress-strain curves, peak strain and ultimate strain are experimentally studied. Based on the test results, formulas have been presented to determine the compressive strength, elastic modulus, the relationship between prism compressive strength and cube compressive strength, stress-strain curves and peak strain of crumb rubber concrete (CRC). It is found that the proposed formulas agree well with the test result on the whole, which may be used to practical applications.

Growth Inhibitory and Pro-Apoptotic Effects of Hirsuteine in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Cells through Targeting Sphingosine Kinase 1

        Gao Shan,Guo Tingting,Luo Shuyu,Zhang Yan,Ren Zehao,Lang Xiaona,Hu Gaoyong,Zuo Duo,Jia Wenqing,Kong Dexin,Yu Haiyang,Qiu Yuling 한국응용약물학회 2022 Biomolecules & Therapeutics(구 응용약물학회지) Vol.30 No.6

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a slowly progressing hematopoietic cell disorder. Sphingosine kinase 1 (SPHK1) plays established roles in tumor initiation, progression, and chemotherapy resistance in a wide range of cancers, including leukemia. However, small-molecule inhibitors targeting SPHK1 in CML still need to be developed. This study revealed the role of SPHK1 in CML and investigated the potential anti-leukemic activity of hirsuteine (HST), an indole alkaloid obtained from the oriental plant Uncaria rhynchophylla, in CML cells. These results suggest that SPHK1 is highly expressed in CML cells and that overexpression of SPHK1 represents poor clinical outcomes in CML patients. HST exposure led to G2/M phase arrest, cellular apoptosis, and downregulation of Cyclin B1 and CDC2 and cleavage of Caspase 3 and PARP in CML cells. HST shifted sphingolipid rheostat from sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) towards the ceramide coupled with a marked inhibition of SPHK1. Mechanistically, HST significantly blocked SPHK1/S1P/S1PR1 and BCR-ABL/PI3K/Akt pathways. In addition, HST can be docked with residues of SPHK1 and shifts the SPHK1 melting curve, indicating the potential protein-ligand interactions between SPHK1 and HST in both CML cells. SPHK1 overexpression impaired apoptosis and proliferation of CML cells induced by HST alone. These results suggest that HST, which may serve as a novel and specific SPHK1 inhibitor, exerts anti-leukemic activity by inhibiting the SPHK1/S1P/ S1PR1 and BCR-ABL/PI3K/Akt pathways in CML cells, thus conferring HST as a promising anti-leukemic drug for CML therapy in the future.

        Gao Mingxia(고명하),Ren Xueqin(임설금) 전남대학교 글로벌디아스포라연구소 2015 디아스포라 연구 Vol.9 No.1

Trilingual education in Yanbian Area of China has been developed as a result of China’s education policy for minorities to improve not only their native language(Korean) but also their official language(Chinese) and their foreign language(English in this study).Nevertheless, both in theory and practice,Korean minority English education in this area has appeared to be complicated and diversified, leaving some problems to be dealt with. This study, defining Korean-Chinese English learning as a trilingual education with its unique characteristics and features, basing the data source from the combined 1995-2015 Yanbian Educational statistics, focuses on the historical development and present situation of Korean-Chinese English education in Yanbian Area. Through exploring some existing problems, this thesis points out the countermeasures for the prospect of Korean-Chinese English education, which is hoped to help Korean-Chinese English education better integrate into both ethnic English education and national English education so that more globalized ethnic Korean-Chinese talents will be cultivated.

The upregulation of keratocan promotes the progression of human pancreatic cancer

        Gao Huijie,Qian Ruikun,Ren Qiang,Zhang Litao,Qin Wei,Zhou Caiju,Wang Huiyun,Liu Chao,Zhang Yuntao 대한독성 유전단백체 학회 2024 Molecular & cellular toxicology Vol.20 No.2

Background The role of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in oncogenic contexts has been studied previously, but the expression patterns and functional role of keratocan, a classical small leucine-rich proteoglycan found in the ECM, in tumors remain poorly understood. As pancreatic cancer (PC) is characterized by desmoplasia in the ECM, this study sought to assess the significance of keratocan in PC. Objective In this study, Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) was first used to analyze the expression pattern of keratocan in PC. Keratocan, P53, and P21 levels were evaluated in PDAC patient tissues and the role of keratocan was additionally directly assessed via transfecting PDAC cell lines with a pENTER-human keratocan construct. Results Patients with PC showing high levels of keratocan had low survival rates. A significantly upregulated expression of keratocan was observed in the PC tumor tissues in comparison to healthy paracancerous tissues. Keratocan upregulation in BxPC-3 and PANC-1 cells markedly enhanced their proliferation and migration, but reduced cellular apoptosis. Furthermore, the P53 and P21 expression levels were significantly reduced in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells overexpressing keratocan. P53 and P21 were downregulated in PC tumor tissues. Conclusions All results showed that keratocan played important roles in the promoting of PC.
