Essential oils are characterized by their potency as anti-pathogens and anti-oxidants. However, there is alimitation in the application due to uncontrollable release. Therefore, this approach is focused ondesigning mesoporous composite for temperature-controlled release of essential oils. Mesoporouscomposite namely zeolitic imidazole frameworks@microcrystalline cellulose (ZIF@MCC), was successfullysynthesized by the immediate growth of ZIF based on Zn and Co separately within MCC matrix. Theestimated masses of ZIF within MCC were 263.4 – 296.3 g/kg. Orthorhombic dodecahedron crystallineZIFs in micro size was massively covered MCCfibrils. Release of thyme and cumin as two essential oils, from mesoporous ZIF@MCC composites was investigated at different temperatures. After 5 days, therelease of essential oils were significantly slowed down to be 49.3 – 119.7 mg/g (18.5 – 44.9 %) forZIF@MCC composites compared to 248.0 – 265.7 mg/g (93.0 – 99.6 %) for MCC. Elevation of temperaturewas accompanied by slight faster release attributing to the ease liberation of essential oils by heating. Releasing mechanism of essential oils is mainly supposed due to combination between physical inprinciple as a solute diffusion and chemical processing’s in small relevant.

The problem why a speaker or a writer assigns a certain designation for the Egyptian revolution in 2011 is the primary focus of this paper. For this objective, this paper investigates underlying conceptual relations between the literal word „revolution‟ and its different figurative and non-figurative designations. The syntagmatic relation between the literal tenor revolution and its designations or „vehicles‟ can be interpreted in terms of user‟s pragmatic investment of designations in discourse. The data in this study have been gathered from various written and spoken discourses and consist mainly of the most frequent designations of January 25 revolution. The analysis of data shows that pragmatic investment is determined by three main perlocutions, the user‟s intentions of being unbiased, tactful, and biased. These intentions also determine the meanings of the designations according to five conceptual relations. These conceptual relations show the link between the word revolution and the user‟s figurative or non-figurative designations such as spatial and temporal relations that determine the literal designations, tactful relations that determine the diplomatic use of figurative designations, and positive and negative relations that determine the figurative designations of pro- or anti-revolutionists. The study is based on an eclectic pragmatic approach to explore the literal/nonliteral meanings of the designations and their pragmatic investment. This approach is mainly based on Searle‟s contextual assumptions, Katz‟s approach of literalness and Lakoff and Johnson‟s conceptual theory. The study concludes that several pragmatic determiners of meaning govern the pragmatic investment of figurative and nonfigurative designations, their underlying conceptual relations, and their degree of literalness.

Carbon and nitrogen metabolism pathways are regulated by complex mechanisms in order to optimize growth and development of plants and play a major role in determining the amount of protein stored in cereal grains. This study was conducted to contribute to determine the roles of certain key enzymes of carbon and nitrogen metabolism in developing sorghum seeds. Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench was grown in a growth chamber. Seeds were harvested at various stages of development and used to the analysis of certain key enzymes of carbon and nitrogen metabolism. The results were subjected to stastistical analysis using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Tukey test. The results showed that during the seed development the highest activities of glutamine synthetase, glutamate dehydrogenase, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, malate dehydrogenase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, and aspartate aminotransferase were detected at the time of maximum seed filling stages (15-20 DAP). Hence, higher activities of these enzymes at the time of maximum seed-filling stages could be effectively linked to amino acids synthesis and therefore the deposition of protein reserves.
Excitation Processes by Proton and Antiproton Impacts on H(2s) Atoms

The eects of the coupling to the 1s and the 2p states, as well as the back coupling to the 2s state, on the excitation processes by proton and antiproton impacts on H(2s) atoms are investigated by using the impact parameter approach. Cross sections for the excitations to the 3l states are calculated in the incident energy range 3 E 2500 keV. The eect of the electric charge of the projectile on the cross sections is studied.
Grammatical and Pragmatic Aspects of Polarity in Arabic Seditious Utterances
Reda Ali Hassan Mahmoud 세종대학교 언어연구소 2016 Journal of Universal Language Vol.17 No.2
This study analyzes various grammatical and pragmatic aspects of polarity in Arabic seditious utterances. Arabic Seditious Utterances (ASUs) are a result of the general atmosphere of incitement and discontent against lawful authorities which prevails before and after the revolution. ASUs feature the use of both negative polarity aspects to refute a number of oppressive and unjust actions of political and administrative authorities and other positive polarity aspects to affirm the allegements and demands of the claimants. Such negative and positive distinction in ASUs is represented grammatically (syntactically, lexically, and semantically) in positive and negative polarity items. They are also represented pragmatically in context-sensitive aspects within these utterances. The focus of this paper is on the analysis of seditious utterances, the various aspects of positive and negative syntactic, lexical and semantic polarity items, their scalar ways of representations in addition to other creative aspects of pragmatic-sensitive expressions of polarity. An eclectic approach is designed to suite the analysis of the scalar and multi-aspect nature of grammatical as well as pragmatic data which has been collected within a span of three years of national unrest. The analysis of the examples of ASUs shows that negative and positive polarity distinction rise above the grammatical component to other entailed and implicated pragmatic aspects. The analysis of ASUs also explains the inventive ways of pragmatic aspects which are used to understate or accentuate the control of grammatical and lexical components of polarity according to their various contexts.

The present study aimed to determine the best combination of plant growth regulators (PGRs) and light intensity in order to improve organogenesis of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cultivar Mejhoul. Organogenic cultures obtained from shoot tip explants were cultured on half-strength Murashige and Skoog (MS/2) medium supplemented with various combinations of two auxins: 2-naphthoxyacetic acid (NOAA) and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) at 0, 0.2, or 0.4 mg L-1and two cytokinins: kinetin and 6-(dimethylallylamino) purine (2iP) at 0, 0.4, or 0.8 mg L-1 under different light intensities. Our results revealed that after 3 months of culture, the combination of 0.2 mg L-1 NOAA, 0.2 mg L-1 IAA, 0.4 mg L-1 2iP, and 0.4 mg L-1 kinetin was the optimal for shoot proliferation (12.8 shoot buds per explant), with low levels of hyperhydricity (20.0%), tissue browning (20.0%), and precocious rooting (30.0%). The present study showed also that darkness and low light intensity (500 lux) significantly increased the incidence of precocious rooting while high light intensities (2,000 - 3,000 lux) decreased shoot bud proliferation and stimulated shoot elongation and greening. The optimal light intensity during the multiplication phase was 1,000 lux (13.2 shoot buds per explant, 15.0% greening, 25.0% precocious rooting). Shoot elongation and rooting occurred on PGR-free MS/2 medium then the plantlets were transferred to a greenhouse where 88.0% survived after 3 months. Our results are beneficial for the efficient and large-scale propagation of the elite and endangered date palm cultivar Mejhoul.
