GRADIENT YAMABE SOLITONS WITH CONFORMAL VECTOR FIELD

        Fasihi-Ramandi, Ghodratallah,Ghahremani-Gol, Hajar Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회논문집 Vol.36 No.1

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the geometry of complete gradient Yamabe soliton (Mn, g, f, λ) with constant scalar curvature admitting a non-homothetic conformal vector field V leaving the potential vector field invariant. We show that in such manifolds the potential function f is constant and the scalar curvature of g is determined by its soliton scalar. Considering the locally conformally flat case and conformal vector field V, without constant scalar curvature assumption, we show that g has constant curvature and determines the potential function f explicitly.

Harnack Estimate for Positive Solutions to a Nonlinear Equation Under Geometric Flow

        Fasihi-Ramandi, Ghodratallah,Azami, Shahroud Department of Mathematics 2021 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.61 No.3

In the present paper, we obtain gradient estimates for positive solutions to the following nonlinear parabolic equation under general geometric flow on complete noncompact manifolds $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}={\Delta}u+a(x,t)u^p+b(x,t)u^q$$ where, 0 < p, q < 1 are real constants and a(x, t) and b(x, t) are functions which are C2 in the x-variable and C1 in the t-variable. We shall get an interesting Harnack inequality as an application.

RICCI 𝜌-SOLITONS ON 3-DIMENSIONAL 𝜂-EINSTEIN ALMOST KENMOTSU MANIFOLDS

Azami, Shahroud,Fasihi-Ramandi, Ghodratallah Korean Mathematical Society 2020 대한수학회논문집 Vol.35 No.2

The notion of quasi-Einstein metric in theoretical physics and in relation with string theory is equivalent to the notion of Ricci soliton in differential geometry. Quasi-Einstein metrics or Ricci solitons serve also as solution to Ricci flow equation, which is an evolution equation for Riemannian metrics on a Riemannian manifold. Quasi-Einstein metrics are subject of great interest in both mathematics and theoretical physics. In this paper the notion of Ricci 𝜌-soliton as a generalization of Ricci soliton is defined. We are motivated by the Ricci-Bourguignon flow to define this concept. We show that if a 3-dimensional almost Kenmotsu Einstein manifold M is a 𝜌-soliton, then M is a Kenmotsu manifold of constant sectional curvature -1 and the 𝜌-soliton is expanding with λ = 2.

        Generalized hyperbolic geometric flow

        Shahroud Azami,Ghodratallah Fasihi-Ramandi,Vahid Pirhadi 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회논문집 Vol.38 No.2

In the present paper, we consider a kind of generalized hyperbolic geometric flow which has a gradient form. Firstly, we establish the existence and uniqueness for the solution of this flow on an $n$-dimensional closed Riemannian manifold. Then, we give the evolution of some geometric structures of the manifold along this flow.

THE SET OF ZOLL METRICS IS NOT PRESERVED BY SOME GEOMETRIC FLOWS

Azami, Shahroud,Fasihi-Ramandi, Ghodratallah Korean Mathematical Society 2019 대한수학회논문집 Vol.34 No.3

The geodesics on the round 2-sphere $S^2$ are all simple closed curves of equal length. In 1903 Otto Zoll introduced other Riemannian surfaces with the same property. After that, his name is attached to the Riemannian manifolds whose geodesics are all simple closed curves of the same length. The question that "whether or not the set of Zoll metrics on 2-sphere $S^2$ is connected?" is still an outstanding open problem in the theory of Zoll manifolds. In the present paper, continuing the work of D. Jane for the case of the Ricci flow, we show that a naive application of some famous geometric flows does not work to answer this problem. In fact, we identify an attribute of Zoll manifolds and prove that along the geometric flows this quantity no longer reflects a Zoll metric. At the end, we will establish an alternative proof of this fact.

Immunization of mice with chimeric protein-loaded aluminum hydroxide and selenium nanoparticles induces reduction of Brucella melitensis infection in mice

        Goudarzi Tahereh,Abkar Morteza,Zamanzadeh Zahra,Fasihi-Ramandi Mahdi 대한백신학회 2023 Clinical and Experimental Vaccine Research Vol.12 No.4

Purpose: Due to the many problems with commercially available vaccines, the production of effective vaccines against brucellosis is a necessity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the immune responses caused by the chimeric protein consisting of trigger factor, Bp26, and Omp31 (TBO) along with aluminum hydroxide (AH/TBO) and selenium (Se/TBO) nanoparticles (NPs) as adjuvants in mouse model. Materials and Methods: Recombinant antigen expression was induced in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) bacteria using IPTG (isopropyl-d-1-thiogalactopyranoside). Purification and characterization of recombinant protein was conducted through NiFe3O4 NPs, sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and Western blot. NP characteristics, including morphology and particle size, were measured in vitro. The recombinant TBO was loaded on to AH and Se NPs and were administered subcutaneously. After mice immunization, measurement of antibody titter and protection assay was performed. Results: The average sizes of AH and Se NPs were about 60 nm and 150 nm, respectively. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay results showed that the serum of mice immunized by subcutaneous injection with both nanovaccines produced significant immunoglobulin G (IgG) responses against the chimeric antigen. The results of TBO-specific IgG isotype (IgG2a/IgG1) analysis showed that both AH and Se NPs induced a type to T-helper immune response. In addition, the results of the challenge with the pathogenic strain of Brucella melitensis 16M showed that vaccinated mice with AH/TBO NPs indicated a higher reduction of bacterial culture than immunized mice with Se/TBO NPs and TBO alone. Conclusion: The results showed that AH NPs carrying chimeric antigen can be a promising vaccine candidate against brucellosis by producing protective immunity.

3-Dimensional Trans-Sasakian Manifolds with Gradient Generalized Quasi-Yamabe and Quasi-Yamabe Metrics

Siddiqi, Mohammed Danish,Chaubey, Sudhakar Kumar,Ramandi, Ghodratallah Fasihi Department of Mathematics 2021 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.61 No.3

This paper examines the behavior of a 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifold equipped with a gradient generalized quasi-Yamabe soliton. In particular, It is shown that α-Sasakian, β-Kenmotsu and cosymplectic manifolds satisfy the gradient generalized quasi-Yamabe soliton equation. Furthermore, in the particular case when the potential vector field ζ of the quasi-Yamabe soliton is of gradient type ζ = grad(ψ), we derive a Poisson's equation from the quasi-Yamabe soliton equation. Also, we study harmonic aspects of quasi-Yamabe solitons on 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifolds sharing a harmonic potential function ψ. Finally, we observe that 3-dimensional compact trans-Sasakian manifold admits the gradient generalized almost quasi-Yamabe soliton with Hodge-de Rham potential ψ. This research ends with few examples of quasi-Yamabe solitons on 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifolds.

Marginal bone loss around crestal or subcrestal dental implants: prospective clinical study

        Naser Sargolzaie,Hosein Hoseini Zarch,Hamidreza Arab,Tahereh Koohestani,Mahdiye Fasihi Ramandi 대한구강악안면외과학회 2022 대한구강악안면외과학회지 Vol.48 No.3

Objectives: The stability of crestal bone has been reported as a major factor in the success of dental implants. Implants can be placed in an equicrestal (crestal) or subcrestal position. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of implant depth placement on marginal bone loss. Materials and Methods: The study was created in a split-mouth design. Immediately after implant surgery, digital parallel radiographs were prepared and levels of bone were measured where marginal bone loss and bone level changes occurred. These measurements were repeated at 3-month and 6-month follow-up periods. Results: In this interventional study, 49 implants were evaluated in 18 patients. Primary bone height was not significant between the intervention and control groups in both mesial and distal aspects at 3 months and 6 months from the baseline. The mean marginal bone loss on the mesial side was 1.03 mm in the subcrestal group and 0.83 mm in the crestal group. In addition, mean marginal bone loss on the distal side was 0.88 mm and 0.81 mm in the subcrestal and crestal groups, respectively. Marginal bone loss was not significantly different between sexes, the maxilla or mandible, and in the anterior or posterior regions as well as between different lengths and diameters of implants. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, there was no significant difference in terms of marginal bone loss between crestal and subcrestal implants.

Immunogenicity of glycine nanoparticles containing a chimeric antigen as Brucella vaccine candidate

        Ghazal karevan,Kazem Ahmadi,Ramezan Ali Taheri,Mahdi Fasihi-Ramandi 대한백신학회 2021 Clinical and Experimental Vaccine Research Vol.10 No.1

Purpose: Brucellosis as a worldwide zoonotic illness affect domestic animals and humans doesn’t have any vaccine for the prevention of infection in humans yet. The aim of this study was to evaluate the specific immune response following the administration of glycine nanoparticles as adjuvant and delivery system of a chimeric antigen contained trigger factor, Omp31, and Bp26 in murine model. Materials and Methods: The chimeric antigen of Brucella was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli (E. coli) BL21 (DE3). Purification and characterization of recombinant protein was conducted through Ni-NTA (nickel-nitrilotriacetic acid) agarose, SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis), and Western blot. Nanoparticle characteristics including morphology, particle size distribution, zeta potential, protein retention rate, and release rate were measured in vitro. Subsequently, nanoparticle contained antigen was administered to mice and blood sample was taken to measured the antibody level. Results: The protein retention in the nanoparticles was successfully done and the nanoparticle characteristics were appropriate. The average size of glycine particles containing antigen was about 174 nm, and the absorption of protein was approximately 61.27% of the initial value, with a release rate of approximately 70% after 8 hours. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay result proved that the immunized sera of mice which were administered with nano-formula contains high levels of antibodies (immunoglobulin G) against recombinant chimeric antigen and also a high level of mucosal antibody (immunoglobulin A) in the oral group, which showed a desirable immunity against Brucella. Conclusion: The results showed that chimeric antigen-loaded glycine nanoparticles can act as a vaccine candidate for inducing the cellular and humoral immune response against brucellosis.

TB Trifusion Antigen Adsorbed on Calcium Phosphate Nanoparticles Stimulates Strong Cellular Immunity in Mice

        Yousef Amini,Bagher Moradi,Mohsen Tafaghodi,Zahra Meshkat,Kiarash Ghazvini,Mahdi Fasihi-Ramandi 한국생물공학회 2016 Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering Vol.21 No.5

Among various vaccine candidates, subunit vaccines play an important role in immune protection against tuberculosis (TB). Calcium phosphate (CP) is considered as a strong inorganic adjuvant due to its great potential in increasing immune responses. The purpose of this study was to evaluate specific immune responses following the administration of trifusion-CP nanoparticles. The physiochemical properties of these nanoparticles, including morphology, particle size, zeta potential and adsorption rate, were measured in vitro. Subcutaneous immunization was performed three times on days 0, 14, and 28. Two weeks after the last administration, IFN-gamma, IL-4, and TGF-beta levels were measured by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The trifusion protein was successfully adsorbed onto calcium phosphate nanoparticles. The mean sizes of the resultant trifusion- CPN and CPN were 97.84 ± 12.08 and 67 ± 11.85 nm, respectively. CPN containing trifusion had stronger ability to induce IFN-gamma than the control groups. IL-4 and TGF-beta secretions in trifusion and trifusion-CPN groups were higher than those in the PBS group. However, there was no significant (p > 0.05) difference in IL-4 and TGFbeta concentrations between trifusion group and trifusion- CPN group. Therefore, calcium phosphate nanoparticles are good candidates for immunization against TB because antigen can be easily adsorbed onto CPN and strong cellular immune responses against CPN-antigen can be stimulated.
