Uncertainty and Disturbance Estimator Based Robust Pitch Autopilot

In recent times, control design with disturbance estimation and rejection techniques for nonlinear systems have gained popularity. In this study, a control technique called Uncertainty and Disturbance Estimator (UDE) has been presented for a missile pitch autopilot. To control the nonlinear nominal missile model, an Input Output Linearization (IOL) controller has been designed. Since pitch plane dynamics contain considerable uncertainties, IOL has been augmented with UDE to robustify the system. A Luenberger like UDE observer has also been designed and system stability analysis has been performed on the IOL augmented UDE based Controller-Observer. Simulations under various operating conditions have been carried out to illustrate the performance of UDE. A comparative study has also been performed with other prominent nonlinear robust control laws and it was seen that UDE performed significantly better.

Several graph operations based on subdivision graph and its variants have been introduced by many researchers and their spectral properties have been studied. The F-sum graphs and F-product graphs are one among these graph operations. In literature, many topological indices of F-sum graphs and F-product graphs have been examined. In this paper, we rst introduce two matrix forms named as F-sum matrix and F-product matrix and describe their spectra, and then using the spectra of these matrices, we compute the spectra of F-sum graphs and F-product graphs.

New technology-driven biocatalysts are revolutionizing the biochemical industries. With maximum utilization of renewable feedstock, biocatalysts have been the basis for a major breakthrough. Lipases are the most widely established catalysts used for hydrolysis, esterification and transesterification reactions. In this research, a biochemical process that combines extraction of lipase enzyme from germinated wheat seeds and its application to valorize glycerol to acetins by esterification is presented. Acetins are among highly rated, value-added products derived from glycerol. The favorable conditions for the enzymatic conversion of glycerol were observed as glycerol to acetic acid molar ratio (1:5), reaction temperature (40 o C) and the amount of enzyme (20% v/v). 65.93% of glycerol conversion was achieved for duration of 15 h with the use of tert-butanol solvent. This method proposes to explore the viability of a biological route to convert glycerol derived from biodiesel industry to acetins with further streamlining.
