장기간의 매립지 배출물질의 저감을 통한, 다양한 매립지 안정화방법의 특성을 조사하기 위해 Lab-scale 실험과 모형 매립조 실험을 수행하였다. MBP(기계적 생물학적 전처리), 호기성 매립과 준호기성 매립(semi-aerobic), flushing 등의 방법을 전처리하지 않은 폐기물의 전형적인 매립방법인 혐기성매립과 비교연구 하였으며 다양한 방법의 조합을 통한 연구도 수행하였다. 기계적-생물학적 전처리에 준호기성 방법과 Flushing(PAF model)법의 조합에 의한 공기주입법을 조합하였을 때 각 방법의 시너지 효과를 나타내었다. 현재 본 연구는 진행중이며 더 나아가 full-scale 모델의 적응성을 평가하기 위한 연구가 필요하다고 할 수 있다. Lab-scale tests and a large lysimeter column were set up to investigate the behaviour of different options for achieving sustainability by reducing long term landfill emissions. The options which have been studied and compared with the traditional anaerobic landfill for unprocessed refuse were: mechanical- biological pretreatment, landfill aeration with forced and with natural advective air flow (semi-aerobic), flushing. Combination of different options have been experimented. The combination of mechanical- biological pretreatment, Aeration by the semi-aerobic method and Flushing (PAF model) seems to synergize the advantages of the individual options. The research is on going and further studies are necessary in order to assess the full-scale applicability of the model.

Industrial applications of computed tomography (CT) for dimensional metrology on various components are fast increasing, owingto a number of favorable properties such as capability of non-destructive internal measurements. Uncertainty evaluation is howevermore complex than in conventional measurement processes, e.g., with tactile systems, also due to factors related to systematic errors,mainly caused by specific CT image characteristics. In this paper we propose a simulation-based framework for measurementuncertainty evaluation in dimensional CT using the bootstrap method. In a case study the problem concerning measurementuncertainties was addressed with bootstrap and successfully applied to ball-bar CT measurements. Results obtained enabled extensionto more complex shapes such as actual industrial components as we show by tests on a hollow cylinder workpiece.

This study investigated the effect of Ganoderma lucidum supplementation on lymphocytes and peritoneal macrophages from mice. Our results show that G. lucidum in vivo was able to increase interferon-γ (IFN-γ) concentration but reduced CD3+ and CD8+ spleen lymphocytes. Ex vivo, IFN-γ; and interleukin-10 levels were increased and the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) level was reduced by peritoneal macrophages from mice fed with G. lucidum. In the absence of stimuli nitric oxide production was reduced in mice fed with G. lucidum, and with lipopolysaccharide stimulation nitric oxide production was increased but was lower than control values (P<.05). G. lucidum was grown by solid-state culture in wheat grain, and a chow containing 10% G. lucidum mycelium was formulated (G10). Swiss male mice were divided into two groups, termed G10 and control groups according to the diet, and were fed for 3 months. Peritoneal macrophages were obtained and investigated with regard to phagocytosis, lysosomal volume, hydrogen peroxide, superoxide anion, and cytokines ex vivo. In the plasma we investigated concentrations of cytokines, and in the spleen we determined subsets of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, and CD19+ lymphocytes.
